How was I imagining green people to look like in my mind? Green people were almost alien like, alien green skin with a bit of a sheen to their skin. Slightly greyish green. Not laboratory green. These people were so robotic. They worked like instruments and machines. They did not express emotions easily yet their emotions were deep. ....... They live in green rooms, in a green world. Your perspective is very biased towards being a human, a living organism on a floating rock in space. How do you think the bacterial colonies on your kitchen towel see this? Or an alien lifeform outside of our observable universe?

I thought I would share my "enlightenment" experience that I had over the weekend while taking some stuff**. I had the theme idea of concepts after seeing flames on a mailbox - the flames are a concept, I am a concept, relationships are a concept, your job is a concept, etc. Another thought was that you can't reject anyone because everyone is the same thing. At the beginning, the voice in my head said - "You fool - you fell for enlightenment. We banned the psychedelics and we introduced religion and you went around both to try to become enlightened. Religion is a blessing so that you don't have to get enlightened. There is nothing to see at enlightenment." I was thinking that the voice (or ego or consciousness) was evil and male and then I realized that it wouldn't be male and remembered (forgot) that I was a female and then I thought it could be unisex. I then thought it wasn't necessarily evil and I was just saying it was. I felt that everything is of the same thing - the snow, the trees, the air, other people. I became terrified to look at the other person with me or touch the snow - for if it was the same thing. The other person kept saying "you" and the word "you" was bothering me. The architecture of the world became all one consciousness. (or it seemed to compress visually? or something that gave me that idea...?) I had the thought that the universe is using me to experience itself (I started crying because I felt used) and I am using the universe to experience it- but I am not separate from the universe. If everything is all one consciousness - then there possibly could be things that are conscious of when we are more conscious and try to interact with us as such. (I could be wrong- I just heard lots of different birds chirping and was wondering if any of them could have been the consciousness part of consciousness talking to me or if they are all just chirping like usual) For a while I felt like I was observing myself with no control but that at the same time seemed wrong because I think I had control the whole time and just told myself I didn't. However - I feel like I was influenced by books/other people and I can't tell if I was delusional or not. I went from crying to laughing to crying to laughing (pretty loudly and not holding back) like maybe 100 times back and forth and I was spitting out constantly but then realized that I was spitting "myself" out but then kept doing it anyway. Crying and laughing seemed to be the same thing. I looked at my hands and they looked like alien hands and I looked at my legs and they looked like hairy animal legs (hadn't shaved in like 2+ months). As a side note, the trees looked like those miniature train track trees with snow on them, the snow had rainbow sparkles in it, and the trees would try to shake off the snow and it sounded like someone shaking a blanket. I started to tell myself "okay" over and over again.

Do you think we would survive an alien invasion?

If consciousness isn’t experiencing self referential thinking, why call it “alien” really. Consciousness alienates itself believing it’s “human”. Without that, just as @AleksM said, meditate, grab a lawn chair, and see for yourself. So to speak of course. It’s not quantum mechanics, just sit and watch.

Have you watched Interstellar? ? Why are you assigning our limited Einsteinian models and human scarcity mindset to beings you haven't met? If they have the resources to observe us from afar, what is stopping them from also observing us up close? All of this could be irrelevant, because if we assume that cultural evolution is correlated with technological evolution, who is to say that these beings don't have the 5-dimensional alien-equivalent of Tier 2 cognition? How would you begin to go about predicting their intentions, let alone explaining anything about them?

One time I got high and I realized: I don't think the UFOs would have actual aliens inside driving them--because aliens that are capable of that type of technology that we witness, would probably just send out a drone-type of ship that they can safely monitor from a very long distance and send data back with what I'd assume is super fast "internet" speed back to home base. An autonomous drone. Maybe we've always just been seeing alien's drones monitoring us all these years from a distance. Considering our current technology in detecting things so far away into space, could you imagine what aliens would have? They probably already have our entire species and planet mapped out from the first organism to now.

I am still very skeptical about the existence of outer space aliens. I am not saying that I 100% believe that don't exist or that there aren't any kinds of sentient beings on other planets, but until we have enough concrete evidence, I am still going to consider the existence of alien UFOs as a conspiracy theory.

@diamondpenguin Honestly, if they are aliens, then they probably just see us as low consciousness creatures, just how we see ants. If they hypothetically came down to earth, everything going on would seem like absurdity. It's like if a human shrunk, and went into a bees nest. We would just see the chaos that is bees flying around each other and buzzing. Similarly if an alien saw human society, to them we would probably be just a part of the planet's animal kingdom, creatures that walk around and do things to survive. We have to remember that the universe isn't humancentric

I agree when I saw that triangle shaped one. I thought "this could be anything, how the hell do I know." I'm not saying there aren't a lot of weird ass shit being filmed. But that triangle one in particular was pretty fuzzy, etc. I went down the alien rabbit hole a while back. I'm not saying there isn't great evidence, but it's also like still, I dunno. Could be all sorts of random shit, even from other countries etc. Also, I think the thing that stopped me researching it heavily was just recognizing it as a distraction. Like, it doesn't really matter to my personal well-being if they are here or not. If they come, great, if not, fine. I don't think it's worth spending much time over since I was just neglecting my own life and development.

I've a personal story, where an alien encounter started a process of spiritual emergency (fascinating phenomenon described by Christina + Stan Grof, relevant to many of us here) in the person. I trust this person and consider him as quite spiritually evolved and integrous... doing transpersonal psychotherapy for decades (the spiritual emergency lead this person along this path). After his encounter, there was an uptick in people claiming seeing aliens in the same region, so it wasn't just him "hallucinating". I wonder if this is not the alien's way of trying to elevate our consciousness. They might have the foresight to predict, who will be able to benefit from the spiritual emergency in the long-term, making them a more of a harbinger of Truth and Love.

What I find maybe even more compelling is group corroborated eyewitness accounts, such as the school UFO landing sightings in Victoria Australia in the 60s or Zimbabwe in 1997 Literally like 60 children all have the very similar accounts of alien life landing outside the same school, and can confirm the details decades later. I’m not saying it’s 100% conclusive, but these stories wouldn’t exist for no reason and I’m all ears if there’s a better explanation

@Leo Gura There are also plenty of eyewitness accounts from people that would swear on thier life that the twin towers were destroyed by controlled demolition. Human perception is highly fallable. Any idea of how many people have been wrongly sent to prison because of bad or mistaken eyewitnesses testimony? It's not hard at all to believe that hundreds of thousands of people could have mistakenly identified whatever it was they were seeing as an alien craft. There are billions of people living on this planet after all, who see and hear things all day every day. When someone else brings up some very valid points on the subject and your response is that they're just close minded, hard not to see that as hand wavey. While the importance of physics or biology may be vastly overstated in explanations of why were here and what this life is about, when considering the narrow subject of interstellar travel by other life forms, it becomes highly relevant. Kind of get the sense that you want to believe ET is up in the skies zipping about, and that your metaphysics may be biasing you (not claiming I'm immune from this second point ) *As a fun aside, for anyone who wasn't shown this in intro psych, I'd recommend giving it a quick watch.

@Roy There are 100,000s of eye witness accounts. Hard to dismiss that much smoke. Next time a humming bird flys by you at night, I want you to try to photograph it with your phone camera. Post your pics here. Let's see how good your evidence looks. You have military-grade video footage of UFOs. What more clue do you want? Dr Fauci in a white lab coat holding a severed alien penis? The aliens are not going to land on the White House lawn because they aren't total morons. An intelligent species is not going to stick it's dick in human affairs willy-nilly.

All these fuzzy ass videos mean nothing to me. I'm so sick of these cock teases. Give me some blatant high quality conclusive evidence. Notice how everything is always obfuscated and has NEVER been ground breaking enough that it becomes massive world news. Life, including advanced alien life certainly exists outside of Earth in this ludicrous infinite sized universe we live in. However just because it exists it doesn't guarantee a civilization has crossed the thresholds that hold them back like annihilating themselves or having the luck of the draw amount of resources to develop interstellar travel. I highly doubt knowing what we know about physics that there are aliens close in our galaxy that have FTL travel AND came here to fly and dick around in our atmosphere when such a suggestion means they have the technology to easily observe everything they need to from a distance. I just don't see the logic in them risking their discovery or accidently making contact and giving us a chance to reverse engineer technology and accelerate our evolution to be a competitor. I'm sure in the next few decades we will get 100% confirmation of another civilization when we have scanned enough planets and solar systems and literally see them, but I doubt they are abundant and advanced enough to be recklessly flying drones around our planet. The distances between stars and objects in the universe are simply too vast.

Turning around and aiming police man gun by a 13 year old? are these kids taught to handle aim and shoot at these age. This all feel like alien to me at that age i was running around with football. Anyway I agree with police shooting him coz he would have been a threat to many, but i wish they shooted him on the leg, poor child.
