  1. Texts of that nature are not needed at all when it comes to self-transformation, depends on how you use them though. With enlightenment, no, because it is you and direct, best you can do is contemplate.
  2. Enlightened master Peter Ralston often talks about the concept of personal transformation since all enlightenment is is just grasping who and what you really are and how finding out what it “is” doesn’t = change. However, what I’m fonfused by is if one can only TRULY change their character flaws post-enlightenment. True?
  3. Math can predict what kind of person you are by fusing networking theory with sociology: The metadata that big tech companies can get from you allows them to accurately predict your iq, personality type, sexual orientation, and many other things including your likeliness to be a drug addict or pregnant. This has implications for managing people on a large scale politically or psychologically as well as a consumer with targeted advertisements. This isn't really new information to most of you here though, as it's mathematically likely that you're already aware of all this. I gave chat gpt a list of my youtube subscriptions and then asked it questions about my preferences and the views I likely held on various issues. It was quite accurate most of the time... Based on your YouTube subscription list, here are some inferences that can be made about you: Interest in Science and Mathematics: Subscriptions to channels like 3Blue1Brown, Bozeman Science, Domain of Science, and Numberphile suggest a strong interest in science, particularly in mathematics and its applications. Personal Development and Self-Improvement: You seem to be invested in personal growth and self-improvement, as indicated by subscriptions to Actualized.org, Abraham-Hicks Publications, Adyashanti, August Bradley - Life Design, Brian Johnson, and Sadhguru. Mental and Physical Health: Channels such as Dr. Alex Heyne - Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Gravity Transformation - Fat Loss Experts, and StrongFirst imply a focus on both mental and physical well-being. Programming and Technology: With subscriptions to channels like CS Dojo, Colt Steele, Corey Schafer, and Tech With Tim, you appear to have an interest in coding, software development, and technology trends. Psychology and Mindfulness: Interest in psychology, mental health, and mindfulness is evident from channels such as HealthyGamerGG, Mindful Mindfool, Psychology with Dr. Ana, and This Jungian Life. Entrepreneurship and Business: Channels such as ColdFusion, Notion, and Wendover Productions indicate an interest in business, entrepreneurship, and productivity tools and methods. Philosophy and Spirituality: Subscriptions to channels like Einzelgänger, ModernHealthMonk, Om Swami, and The Diamond Net suggest a reflective and philosophical approach to life, possibly exploring different spiritual traditions. Fitness and Outdoor Lifestyle: With channels like Global Triathlon Network, Mark Wildman, and The Run Experience, there's a clear interest in fitness, possibly with a specific inclination towards running and triathlon. Educational Content and Learning: The presence of educational and informational content such as Biographics, Ted-Ed, and Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell suggests that you are a lifelong learner with a curiosity about a wide range of topics. Creative and Artistic Interests: Subscriptions to channels like M O S T L Y strings and Trance Classics hint at an appreciation for music and possibly other forms of art. Tech and Gadget Reviews: Following Marques Brownlee and TechLead indicates you are keeping up with tech reviews and industry leaders' insights. Interest in Politics or Social Commentary: Channels like Vaush and friendlyjordies may point towards an engagement with political discourse and social commentary. Hobby and DIY Projects: Kris Harbour Natural Building and Stuff Made Here show a liking for do-it-yourself projects, perhaps as a hobby or a practical interest. Investment and Cryptocurrency: DataDash subscription suggests you might have an interest in financial markets, investment strategies, or cryptocurrency.
  4. I posed this a while ago and someone may see this and find this useful. I continued with my practices and by God is it incredible, all of the previous health benefits remain and maybe I am sleeping and eating even less but something much deeper is happening, I am finding that I am becoming more and more empty and as I become more empty, I am becoming more joyful and filling up with love. All I am doing is Sadhguru's yoga but I have done it so fucking religiously for years while continuing with Leo's work, Ralston's work etc... Man this shit is insane, I could never have imagined this, I have gone from the post pathetic emotional states to so much joy and peace. The word joy is not strong enough and it lasts all fucking day! I don't about these seratonin and dopamine channels and how they need to be reset... doesn't matter to me anyways because this shit is incredible. Again, I don't equate any of this with awakening but by God does kriya yoga make your life vibrant, I feel incredible! So if anyone is still considering doing kriya yoga, just do it man, but real transformation is going to take 1000s of hours of practice and just sheer fucking intensity. I was also doing very serious contemplation and tripping from time to time on the side so it was a holistic development but it is clear to me that the kriya yoga was the key transforming agent. It just makes life worth living, sharp senses, joy, peace, less shitting, sleeping, fucking, eating and so on. Brain is much sharper and all of your other work is enhanced!
  5. I guess you would call Carton Wolf state C and normal human state N. Then you'd have an transformation function called H (for high) and apply it C=H(N). This sort of shenanigans is why the universe is not "made of maths". It only ever maps patterns, it's never the thing itself.
  6. What if seeing the apple and then the elephant is the transformation.
  7. @HMD @UnbornTao @LastThursday @AerisVahnEphelia Thanks for your insights, guys. Did you understand what maths was about (i.e. a language, a symbolic representation of transformation etc) when you were a kid? Back then, how did you explain to yourself what it was about?
  8. @HMD Perhaps you heard Leo mentioning in his blog once how he became a cartoon wolf. In that post, he claimed he was actually being that cartoon wolf, not just imagining what it would be like to be one. When I read that, I immediately recognised the kind of shift in consciousness he was pointing to. He meant literally becoming fragments of consciousness other than the physical body which he normally identifies himself with and feeling through their prism. From my perspective, I have experienced what it is like to become and be a consciousness of a comet, a rock forming in a cave, electricity, radiation, fog, seasons and various natural phenomena, a mitochondrion in a living cell, etc. For lack of a better word, becoming these phenomena, being them and feeling them as if from the inside would be selective identification. It's like you're travelling in yourself, assuming different positions within yourself. At first, I didn't know how to make sense of those experiences. They are very weird and unlike anything that my human mind ever knew. Now I can have them at will and often do so because it's fun and refreshing. So it looks like we're talking about a transformation of sorts. And maths is good at describing transformation. So I wonder if there could be a pattern of changing state in that specific way that could be communicated mathematically, with minimum distortion.
  9. I'd say maths is a language like any other. The difference is that its purpose is to reduce ambiguity and to be self-consistent. It is also largely about transformation. One "sentence" in the language of maths gets transformed into other "sentences", using a precise and self-consistent number of steps. That way you can "prove" things. It's also about the essence of capturing patterns in the world, by mapping symbols and operations onto those patterns and also their relationships. English language is about conveying information in generality, so has much wider scope.
  10. There is something out there in the wild, modern folks call it a girlfriend. Shutting off the news helps. You don’t need to listen to the news to be successful in business. History has chosen jews to suffer more than average Americans/Europeans, it is what it is. It will get better one day, to the point where no jew will suffer as terribly as they have, all of society is built on a mountain of bodies so that you can live normally and more peacefully. Through individual transformation, peace agreements and Intermingling with Europeans/Americans and maybe some asians, the world will stop hating jews. However slow, it will happen. Once the most conservative people are like today’s liberals. On a personal, more theoretical note, I can’t help but think middle eastern religions and culture make people more prone to aggressive behavior. It’s like there’s a side effect to each religion, islam and judaism with war and terrorism, and christianity with stupidity. Middle easterners will have to (again) mix with the rest of the world, especially with the west, but they will have to bend to western values which includes dropping the whole women are less thing, that has to go first.
  11. Just gave a listen to the last Sam Harris podcast: https://www.samharris.org/podcast/item/111-the-science-of-meditation In it they explain that meditation is not really a substitute for traditional medicine to treat depression, and that it's for awakening, not to make you a happy person. This is similar to Peter Ralston's books which I read this summer but will have to re read, because the content was so dense. Transformation isn't enlightenment. Before I double down here and keep up my practice, I want to know what you guys think and why you are here. Are you here to get over some emotional problem, or do you think enlightenment will help with that.
  12. I've tried both. The method of refining and cultivating subtle energies is definately legit. Intersting thing i found is that if self-inquiry is done properly. It leads to the same energetic transformation that you got get from energy work. So it's the same thing tackled from two different ends. I like both methods.
  13. What do we think about the endless futility of trying to be happy? As in, I will drift into hell if I neglect meditation, I will drift into hell if I don't banish spaghetti from my life, I will drift into hell if I don't aim some mantra at my root chakra, and most of all, I will drift into hell if I fail to surrender? Much of the wisdom seems to point to this thing of dropping the struggle paradigm, but I find myself struggling to drop the struggle. As I try to really, truly let go, I find that I am getting closer and closer to running out of money, to having no friends, no lovers, no purpose, no basic needs met, no clarity, and stuck between this clashing duality that says on the one hand, "oh my god dude. Human needs do exist. You do need a job you don't hate to be happy. You do need to be around positive people. You're going to have to leave town, because Los Angeles is the capital of western misery. There is no way to be happy here. And you're going to have to quadruple down on meditation. Take your power back, don't be passive, take control as best you can, create the life you want." And on the other, "oh look dude. You are absolutely spending your life running away from scarcity, and there's no doubt whatsoever about what you want: to surrender to God. To be completely, profoundly passive, to fully die, to completely abandon happiness. But, unfortunately, you seem blocked from this experience." Even as I write this, it flies in the face of giving up on self help, counselling, advice, needing to get life right. I'm feeling quite convinced these days that anybody trying to heal depression is reinforcing it, that as long as you are trying to fix yourself, you cannot possibly get there.
  14. they shed their skin which is/was seen as a symbol for transformation
  15. Sorry, I meant neither has changed. Hopefully it's clearer now that I edited it. It is fascinating, although how realistic is it in the end? Would it be feasible in a century or so? Cultural transformation requires individual transformation. This requires personal responsibility, even if assisted by others. Who decides which direction to move towards? People may not want to follow the same path and goals as everyone else. For example, why hasn't any culture throughout history been based on honesty and truth?
  16. @Inliytened1 @OBEler (unintentionally tagged Inliytened1 twice in this and not sure how to undo it) Well, the bible is a heavily veiled book with it's own coded language. The Trinity is not in the Bible, as are many other things Christians believe to be, like the identity of the serpent in the Garden. The first thing to note is that the Bible deals with the Mind! All characters are devices to illustrate lessons about how existence/mind/consciousness works. It might take some effort on my part to build a case for it given the widespread confusion about the Bible. Maybe I should make a separate post for it, but essentially the Bible is always talking about the 'I Am'. When Moses asks, who are you, God replies, 'I Am that I Am'. Eve is made from Adam's own Rib as he was made to sleep by God, as others are made of us in this dream of life. Jesus says 'I and my Father are One', meaning he identifies as his awareness. 'Hear me, oh Israel, the Lord your God is One!' Only one consciousness. Then there's the whole cross symbolism of how consciousness is now crucified to this human form. Christ = Consciousness, Cross = Your Body, it has the same shape. Christ is Crucified on Golgotha, or 'The Place of the Skull ', signifying Christ is within your skull, and that is the same tomb from which he will emerge in 3 days (3 being the number of completion of a process in the Bible). Basically, it describes the path of awakening. Many stories, such as the Virgin Birth, Jacob conquering Jericho, all the birth of babies basically, instruct how to alter reality by impressing the subconscious, which fits with reality as a dream, which of course has solipsistic implications. I could add more support if you want or point to some lectures by Neville Goddard. All the stories from Genesis to Revelations detail the transformation and awakening of the mind from the lower up to the higher, the ones that matter at least, not sure about the tribal laws in there, .@Inliytened1I could add more, but I'll end it here, let me know what you think
  17. I don’t have a problem with mortality/survival the deception of life. But I really don’t buy that I would get bored of infinity and omniscience, just look at all the entertainment that mere humans can produce, you don’t think god could entertain itself without deception for eternity. Just don’t think that self deception is inevitable and a cycle of awakening and going back to sleep is what is waiting, god is too free or at least me as god doesn’t want that to be true. Makes you think if it’s all cyclical and there is no growth or permanent transformation then there really is no use to the struggle or meaning to survive. Just empirically. There’s got to be a higher understanding and transcendence of mundane survival and unawareness ignorance. I’ve never once sprained my ankle and been like jee I want to repeat that again And again for eternity. And if I told someone the truth and they realized it, it benefited their life from awakening to said truth, I would hate to see them wake up with amnesia and go back to ignorance if it’s the natural order of things fine it can’t be changed, but I would never willingly reneg on progress just to entertain myself. If you watch a movie for the first time it has a magic to it, the second time, still good but it’s lost something, which makes me think it’s not going to be the cycle forever. Infinity is too grand to repeat itself for eternity.
  18. If the title of the thread caught your attention then this discussion is for you
  19. Thanks for explaining how exactly you mean it. I agree completely! I know all that already and I am conscious of it! But when you really got it you realize that it makes absolutely no difference what you do or don't do. And then you begin to PLAY. And the great plot twist is that through that Play the absolute begins to awaken to itself on a completely new level you didn't think was possible before. That's the paradox here. It's not at all about changing the world – it's about complete and radical TRANSFORMATION. This is not the same thing! It's not about some better state in the future, it's about releasing the massive amounts of Potential that is bound in the physical. It's like the beginning of a supernova of Consciousness. As soon as you feel that you know that that's as real as it gets. It's not about winning or losing something – both are impossible, because what is is already Absolute. It's about experiencing and actualizing God in a very direct way, in ways that one didn't even deem possible before. The heights that are possible to achieve are unimaginable. And there's nothing else to do!
  20. We should emphasize the value of life and the potential for growth and transformation, even in the face of adversity. While it may seem tempting to seek an escape from the difficulties you are currently facing, consider alternative paths towards finding peace and liberation. Rather than focusing on external circumstances or waiting for death, explore the power of inner transformation and spiritual growth. Cultivate a daily meditation practice. Observe the sensations of the breath as it enters and leaves your body, allowing your mind to settle and become present in the moment. Positive qualities of mind such as compassion, forgiveness, and gratitude can help you navigate challenging situations with greater resilience and inner strength. Practice acts of kindness towards yourself and others, and cultivate a mindset of gratitude for the blessings in your life, no matter how small they may seem. Enlightenment is not about escaping from the world, but rather, it is about finding inner peace and liberation while actively engaging with life's challenges. By cultivating spiritual growth and inner transformation, you can find the strength and resilience to navigate difficult circumstances and create a more fulfilling and meaningful life. If its an option, Consider seeking support from trusted friends, family, or professionals who can provide guidance and assistance during this challenging time. Remember, you are not alone, and there is always hope for a brighter future. May you find the strength and courage to face your challenges and discover the transformative power of enlightenment.
  21. Even for those who do, there is merit, but such merit is not relative to the person. Such merit is already expressive of enlightening potential, continuously expounded by animate and inanimate, without beginning. Being that it's already our nature, in seeing just this, realization is experience of nonoriginated selfless sincere open awareness in real time. At such times, no one knows the arising of the celestial potential but for those who eschew speculative relationships in the midst of situational evolution as a matter of course. In seeing potential, the gift is a given, whereby nothing is done in terms of the person. Since it does not involve the person, its psychological processes, emotional consciousness and ego reifying pattern-awareness ceases without deliberate effort or struggle. I'm not saying it's a wonderful thing; it's just what it is, relative to the situation. It's reality, not the person. Mutual response not relative to the person in the context of real situational adaption is enlightening activity by virtue of potential itself. Such response is transcendent in terms of freeing that bit of potential from within the matrix of the Creative (by virtue of karma). Subsequent natural transformation of unrefined potential is said to have been "absorbed" by adepts who can see situationally inherent potential. Those who do are said to be able to work with essence directly, without intermediary. "Absorption" of potential is the basic elemental aspect of so-called alchemic practice. It is simply a matter of seeing. Seeing is itself absorption of potential in terms of the real knowledge that I previously mentioned in the above quote. What is seen is not within the confines of a discursive criteria. Entry into the naturally inconceivable qualities of reality itself is just the way it is, and no one knows why. Formal meditation regimens aren't about being "good." "Spirituality" is really about penetration into the realm of the nonpsychologically nonoriginated unattributable quality of awake, miraculously so, by virtue of the source of our aware essential nature, which is not created. All entry-level reformative techniques are based on the nature of mind itself, to guide people beyond the realm of fixated self-absorption by the various devices set up by the ancient authentic teaching traditions in order to help students subtly gain familiarity with absorption of selfless (open) awareness. It's the same mind. There are no two minds. Mind is one. There is no karmic doing relative to the person carrying out authentic subtle spiritual (nonpsychological) practice. Our nature is an inconceivability. The open secret left behind by all prior illuminates is an attempt to keep the knowledge alive. Those who have the audacity to truly take this up are rare.
  22. If you want to experience a true transformation and increase your consciousness, you need to put yourself in challenging situations, those that tests your limits. Discussions on a forum are a joke. It's all just mental masturbation if you don't put theories into practice.
  23. Thank you, appreciated. What about a "religion" that doesn't have a leader? And no scriptures that tell you the truth or any truth? But instead you have a story that you just live through – that's all. Only a story, that's also called a story and not facts. Think of a spiritual musical of some kind. With a story that touches on deeper subjects like life & death, addiction & depression, stagnation & transformation, hope & despair, time & impermanence, dying & resurrection, healing & forgiveness, love, emotions, humanity, the cosmos, the journey, the dance of the universe, and so much more... But you know at all times that it is only a story. A story that provokes you to contemplate more deeply, love more radical, live more passionately, give yourself more completely and so much more... And you can have the most amazing experience of contact with Life, Love and the Divine, but you can also just chill and hang out, exchange your ideas and feelings with others, you can just dance and enjoy yourself. Or you can go on a cosmic adventure that will transform you if you let it. You will express emotions in an intensity you've never known before, experience true catharsis, and at the end you look at the night sky and feel the connection to the cosmos and everything in it... You wink at the stars because you finally know that there's something you didn't know before. And they wink back at you because they know now you're finally in on their little secret... You don't have ANY responsibility beyond that night. Whatever happens is from now on your personal treasure and you can do with it and integrate it as you please.. And then you do that every month together with the most amazing, open and beautiful people you can think of... Wouldn't that be great?
  24. When people are treating you nicely with lovely words and understanding, your ego can be deceived into thinking that you've reached a state where nothing disturbs you and you're in harmony with the Universe. True transformation begins then your ego is triggered big time through humiliation and ostracization. Act like a crazy person and see what happens.
  25. A lot of new age content make it sound like you are ascending; it’s incredible, we’re getting upgraded to the fifth dimension. But from what I can tell, wether you call it spiritual awakening, mid life crisis, a existential crisis, dark night of the soul,... it is pointing to the same thing, and has been there since the dawn of time. (See Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey). There comes a time in the life of a man where he needs transformation. There is no upgrade, you didn’t choose to incarnate right now because it is so cool to awaken, you won’t get caught in another 17000 years of reincarnation if you don’t upgrade your vibration right now. I can’t believe I adopted these silly beliefs for a while. It is ridiculous. There is only a transformation, a return to the Self.
