There are already plenty of 'anything goes' forums to indulge in conspiracy theories and anti-vax hysteria.

While there's a reasonable discussion to be had over vaccine mandates, in practice what happens is that threads which start with that intention become debates over whether the vaccines are harmful (they're not) or whether Covid is a big deal (it is).

Kudos for Leo for actually using his influence in a responsible way by not letting the forums become a Facebook or 4chan-esque breeding ground for misinformation and conspiricism.

The threads that mention COVID-19 tend to derail into the same people making the same three points from one year ago. It's not just that it's boring and repetitive, but it also creates a skewed picture when people stop caring about engaging with it. It also doesn't help that so many people don't know how to represent statistics accurately (most notoriously not controlling for age).

I wish we could have discussions about the health aspects of vaccination and the virus openly here, without it derailing into heated back and forth plus repetitive talking points from anti vax and conspiracies around the virus itself. It's a very low probability that the vaccination side effects is more lethal than the effects of virus, but for those very few that have actualized those side effects, it would be helpful for those few negatively effect to discuss and share resources in handling such effects. Unluckily I'm one of the very few myself.

As for vaccination mandates, it mostly depends on the country and population and that society. If those places in general do not have preparations nor are sensitive to germs, versus places that are more prepared and more aware of germ effects, then enforcing mandate on just those countries that are not prepared is justified. The main issue is that needs a bigger system to oversee smaller systems that can adjust quickly, which is pretty difficult in practice.

@Danioover9000 one thing I can suggest you personally (from whatever I know so far about heart issues because my father died from cardiac arrest many years ago), are a couple of things

    • Try to reduce inflammation in your body to minimize palpitation. This you can do by drinking fruit juice especially citrus and drink a shit ton of water. Deep breathing also helps. Avoid eating anything that you might be allergic to. Don't eat very hot or very cold foods as they tend to worsen inflammation. Add turmeric to your diet. A small pinch in your cooking like you can add a bit to veggies. Don't eat anything too spicy
    • Don't drink tea or coffee or that redbull or coke or any beverage that either contains carbonated water or too much sugar because these increase heart rate. Zero caffeine
    • No drinking. No smoking. Good of you aren't doing it already.
    • Eat at least 1 banana everyday. Very important to keep heart chill.
    • Don't do any exercise right now. Simple walking is enough.
    • If you can get berries in your local market then consume a cup of berries everyday
    • Get good sleep each night. Don't change the time you go to sleep
    • Don't eat much sugar or salt. But basic minimum salt is important
    • Don't do any dieting. Sudden weight loss or gain can worsen palpitations. So don't do all that. Just keep a proper healthy diet
    • Do relaxation exercises every day to keep mind calm. If you are not having a calm mind, heart palpitations can worsen.
    • Don't use head phones. Avoid any form of loud noise or music.
    • If you're arguing with your partner or someone in your family argues, stay away from it

This much I can tell you off the top of my head

Again, thank you so much for the sharing of sources, I will check them out later.

Is it due to the vaccines?

It's related to the recent shot I had taken yes, but it's not the direct cause, it made an underlying subtle condition I had worse. Of course, don't take this as anti vax speak, I'm not telling you not to take vaccine. but treat this as a heads up if you have a similar condition, and lreally look after your health.

Is it all the time, only when you do something physically strenuous, or at random? Is there a specific event that you think caused it?

I'd recommend spending $30 to get a blood pressure monitor on Amazon or borrow one from a friend if they have one (or go use a free one at a pharmacy), then track your blood pressure and pulse a couple of times per day and write it down. It will be helpful for your doctor to review actual numbers and better understand what's going on.

I've had panic attacks where I measured my pulse at 200+ beats per minute and I could feel my heartbeat in my chest and neck. I've also had heart arrhythmias where it felt like my heart was fluttering for a couple minutes. Could be dangerous or it could be nothing, so it's good to get checked out.

If you're taking caffeine (even tea), tobacco, or any other stimulants I'd probably try to cut them out in the meantime to avoid aggravating it.

Never smoked tobacco, tried once and didn't like the taste at all, but I occasionally drink tea, and my main drink is coffee so I'll consider limiting the coffee down.

My max pulse, in the past, was roughly 170 to 180 beats per min. My resting beats per minute is around 90 to 94, and depending on activities, can raise to 110 to 120 and sometimes 140 for more demanding physical work, stress or mental exertion. I do have high blood pressure as well. The heart arrhythmia is what I'm having lately, and in the past the heart fluttering was random but not as frequent.

The specific event in question is the first week of my Pfizer jab, that one triggered my frequent heart fluttering. Before the jab, my fitness levels were above average, I exercise like 2-4 times a week strength based, body weighted isometrics, and once a week I do steady state cardio and not high intensity interval training. I mostly get 7-8 hours of sleep, but 6-5 depending on stress. I do try to nap, if I can 1 hour. My health/diet is much cleaner now than in the past, like I used to drink soda frequently but I cut that out over time, replaced it with honey and tea/coffee, and I used to eat meals that were moderate in fat and carbs but high in protein, but I lessened that over time. In terms of mental fitness/cognitive performance, I'm average but sometimes I can focus really hard on something, and that sometimes effects my heart rate so I'm taking it easy. I terms of my emotional fitness, it's below average because I experience more negative emotions more than positive ones, plus this heart fluttering has me more depressed than usual. I had to work and study as easily or more relaxed than usual. Some of my hobbies I can perform well, like dancing or martial arts, I have to take it easy, and drawing isn't that effected.

The heart fluttering were random and not as frequent in the past, but sometimes there's pain and sometimes not.

People posting about the vaccine being dangerous and ineffective will be banned.\

Watch what you post. I'm getting tired of reading this anti-vax crap.//

why can’t people talk about the relative risk of the vaccine? It’s not nothing. Why can’t people talk about the effectiveness of the vaccine?  The vaccinated can apparently still get and transmit Covid.

what do you have to gain from stifling all talk about it? Honestly asking

Because for the most part, threads about the vaccine can get derailed into oblivion. Even if the OP intends to have a discussion and try not to debate or be negative, other users can inadvertently or intentionally troll or derail the threads. Also, Leo has lumped anti vax with red/black/blue pill ideology, and conspiracy theories he considers harmful, so he's limiting the topics to such harmful ideas. I'd like to talk about the side effects of vaccine and how to best manage them because I experienced a few, but I sometimes worry that a thread like that can get derailed and nothing of value comes out of that, or users troll and nothing of value is imparted.

He's trying to limit harm and damage control it seems to me.

  6.    I've recently developed some heart palpitations. It has effected my fitness levels, activities, work and study capacity, my sex life, my stress levels, how I am with other relationships, a few hobbies of mine I can't perform as well before like for example dance and foot ball, and some meditation techniques I can't do without hurting my heart more. I will soon see a doctor for this. Meanwhile, if there's advice on heart issues, please share them to me so I can follow up. Thanks.

@Danioover9000 I empathize with you. I'm dealing with similar fears. Although I did not take the vaccine so I'm not sure how it must feel, it's sad that it has this side effect.

Did you have any other condition that could have possibly contributed to the heart rate problem?

Also it could be possible that this side effect might slowly go away on its own. Now who knows. Just speculating and trying to offer you assurance.

I have been quite fearful of the vaccine too. I just want to know more about it.

I think if you take good care of yourself and continue to eat healthy then most likely these effects might go away.

I wish you feel better soon if my words can give you some assurance. Is all I can say right now.

You might even schedule an appointment with your heart doctor to see if you can take some medication or do something specific to reduce the severity of your symptom.

Regarding your booster dose, im not sure if you need it if you aren't going anywhere. Ask your doctor if you really require a booster in such conditions.

Just take good care. That's all you can do right now. And please consult a doctor as they might already have an answer if many patients have this complaint.

The sooner you meet a doctor the better.

The worst part for me at that time, and with past flu jabs, was the needle and the soreness and sometimes the temporary phantom pains. It goes away roughly 4 or so days. It never gets easier over time. But this frequency in heart palpitation lately is a bit worrying.

I suspected I may have had an underlying issue with my heart, considering on past occasions when I had to exert more effort, or when I ate a meal a bit high with fats, my heart tended to skip beats more. However, back then it was infrequent and few and I thought then it's not a big issue back then, and lately my diet is ok and am guarding against too much fat/high cholesterol consumption.

Am gonna speak to the doctor soon about my condition, and about the omicron variant booster I'll wait a bit to see if the research on omicron symptoms is as severe or not as the previous ones, I definitely don't want to worsen my heart with shots if I can help it.

If any one's reading, any supplementations, nootropics or anything else you can recommend help with this heart issue, please share.

I am 35 years old, when should I end game?

In my country in Europe, women after around 33 years old are likely to have kids and other issues.

Now I am having sex with 27+ years old girls. But what about when I am 38 years old?, when should you end game?

I know that you can have many relationships throughout your life, and I already had a few and a lot of sex, but if I want to have another "for a while good girlfriend" , should I settle for one not much much later than, let´s say, 37? I know it depends on countries and cultures, but do you have any thoughts on this?

I think I try to pickup younger girls to extend my time, but is it a good idea?

Of course it all depends on what you want to do, I could be having short relationships forever, but what is a good age for a man to get into a longer relationship because game is not that good anymore?

Might depend on your horniness being relatively the same. Although yes, as you get older, you get less horny over time.

This is a vital topic to consider as the deeper forms of spirituality gain traction at the collective level through increasing access to psychedelics and powerful spiritual techniques. This article goes along very well with Leo's series on cults.

Feel free to engage and comment based on just the title, the excerpts, or the whole article:

    https://metamoderna.org/the-totalitarian-potential-of-new-age-spirituality/

"Why then would I claim that New Age has the potential to be even more hellish than Gulag or Holocaust? Think about it: These relations involve your innermost ontological belief structures. They can make you believe that if you don’t follow suit, if you even think the wrong thought, you will be punished for a literal eternity of unbearable suffering. And they can make you believe that in full and earnest. That’s much, much more radical than making you think you’re a bad comrade or not a part of the master race. And they can make you believe that the fate of the entire cosmos, literally speaking, depends on your work with this and that inner purification, enlightenment, etc. And they can make you believe this or that person is literally God speaking and that nothing else has any relevance compared to what they may be saying. And they can make you intimately feel that with every cell of your body and soul. It’s the Michelin Star Club of totalitarianism. It’s totalitarianism magna cum laude, extra everything; ketchup and mustard. Because it reaches into the depths of your soul and controls parts of you neither Stalin nor Hitler could reach. In theory, then, what crimes could that sort of power make you commit? And if you were invested in it, what would you be prepared to do to defend it from perceived attackers?" -Hanzi Freinacht

"We must see that spiritual insight and higher universal love are powerful future attractors, but that they reside in the posthuman or transhuman realm of potentials, which means that we shouldn’t rush it. In this case, we must remain careful and conservative, as the sheer terror that can be unleashed under the auspices of a “metamodern totalitarianism” leaves a heavy ethical burden on us. Imagine a world where dictators control your soul and the construction of your social universe and have a thousand social, psychological, chemical and technological tools to control the structure of your mind. That would be beyond nasty." -Hanzi Freinacht

It's not spot on, but great insight nonetheless. This is why a strong selfish ego, a matured one, is useful.

did you thoughts become positive, did you faith & confidence increase & your hesitation + procrastination decrease?

Did it lead to more action, results or money ect.. ?

Will it unwire decades of negativity?

Also does the optimism list work?

    Do Affirmation work too ?

I must admit that I am more open minded ever since I realized that NLP Most likely works.

How do you feel about it?

Relatively speaking, I'm alright despite a few side effects of the vaccine and my family members turned out better than me in handling the vaccine. The mandate for vaccines policy I think depends on which countries are getting the mandate. Some countries most people are more responsible with handling sickness without being enforced by gov, but other countries need some enforcement as the people there are just not able to handle the sickness and have lower . Some people/places have groups with little to low fear of germs, while other places have higher tolerances for it.

I sometimes think it all depends on the stage, cognitive, moral, and life experiences/history of the person/people in regards to dealing with a pandemic to epidemic illness collectively. Of course, at the individual level it's much harder to assess at this level how one can help at the collective because it's more complicated, but I do think some germaphobia and awareness can help.

As someone who has been critical of Leo and probably deserved to be kicked off the forum a few times I wanted to take time to reflect on the other side of Leo. I know many of us on the forum can be very critical of him, but I think it would be a nice change of pace if we shared what we love or appreciate about him to balance out our perspectives.

    I'll start.

I really appreciate Leo because he is the reason I started meditating. In one of his earlier videos he said meditation is the most important thing you can do to improve yourself, and after listening to that I just started a practice and was shockingly consistent. Years later I have grown and learned a lot about spirituality, and it all started with one of Leo's videos.

I also appreciate how relentlessly and honestly Leo speaks about and approaches the truth/love/etc. Leo really put himself out there and has been labeled crazy, mentally ill etc, but he really just pushed forward and let his pursuit for the truth guide the way. I'm sure it could have been easier to lie about his insights and play a safer PR game with his online presence, business etc.

I am really grateful that he created a forum like this for like minded people to get together. I have met the best people i've ever encountered on this forum, and I really cherish my interactions with so many different people on here.

I admire his level of communication, and how he maintains his boldness.
