  1. Criticism of Leo: I don't think he understands Islam
Criticism of Leo: I don't think he understands Islam
Dude, I do not care about literally reading Islam. I read it not according to how Mohammad intended, and not according to how tradition wants, but according to how God actually works.
The way God actually works is, the lesser Jihad is nonsense and the Greater Jihad is what matters for realizing God.
Allah does not favor anyone. Allah does not care what any human does. You could have sex with a goat and Allah will not care. You could wage the best lesser Jihad ever and slay a million demons, and Allah will not care.
I interpret Islam according to how it ought to be in its purest form. I don't parrot their corruptions, obviously. I cut out all the corruption and human confusion.
This is called being charitable. I steelman Islam. You are strawmanning it.
You will never realize Allah by waging a war. And Allah requires no war to defend his honor. War is silly human survival nonsense.
I do not care if Mohammad said it or not, I am telling you how God actually works.
You need to throw all the tradition and literalism out the window.
If you want to define Islam as waging war to gain favor with Allah, then that Isalm is without a doubt bullshit. So the question is, What is the Islam that is not bullshit?

You are being too flippant about how much culture and survival forces shape people's understanding of Reality.
If you lived in the Middle East 1500 years ago, you would in for a rude awakening indeed. These people were hardly more developed than cavemen. And you want them to give you some kind of pure spiritual textbook that can compete with today's work?
The only reason anyone knows about Ramana is because of internet and such. Nobody would know him 1500 years ago. Mohammad is known because he started a kingdom through conquest. That is how you got known back them. Not for being a hippie.

  3. The mediocrity of the average person is horrifying
The mediocrity of the average person is horrifying
I recently went on a couple dates with a girl who lives at my apartment.
She's sweet enough and a good, kind-hearted person, but I began to realize on the first date that she didn't really do much outside of her nine-to-five accounting job and getting drunk with her friends at bars and clubs on the weekend. No ambition, no striving, and no interest in anything of any importance whatsoever. By the second date I realized that she was actually not joking when she said all she does after work is scroll on TikTok, drink wine in her apartment, and gossip with her friends.
The most shocking part of it was not the fact that she lived this way, but the fact that she was genuinely satisfied with this. She was not saving money for a big life move, planning to travel, painting or exploring art/music, etc. Nothing. Zero. We had a good time and some laughs but i can't take her seriously because she has zero interest in growth whatsoever. Which to me is utterly insane.
I have made a lot of progress with my personal development but I often find myself utterly dumbfounded and then extremely frustrated with people like this. Why do they not care about important things? Why do they only care about trivial nonsense, petty drama, gossip, tiktok, etc.? To me this has been an obvious trap since I was like 10 years old. I remember feeling this exact way towards the vast majority of my peers in school as early as 5th grade. They would just stare at me when I started sharing what I was interested in (I was fascinated with history and music).
I'm very good socially and can laugh and have a good time with almost anyone, but the overwhelming, horrifying levels of mediocrity that is acceptable to the average person just confuses the hell out of me.
I understand that they are god and god loves mediocrity because god is infinite consciousness etc. But on a practical day to day level the total complacency that the average person has towards life is genuinely quite exhausting to deal with. Mainly because you cannot relate to them and they can pick up on it which creates a constant "social tension" that they almost always interpret as hostility.
I just can't force myself to care about the things most people care about and it, I don't understand why they care so much about nonsensical gossip and tiktok drama, and it makes relating to them extremely difficult.

    Yes! Yes! Of course.
Ambition is rare. Most people have none and live like conformist zombies.
However, there is a next-level mindfuck here for you. It comes when you eventually realize that these mediocre people were right. Ambition is an illusion. All your striving, and in the end you will never achieve more than just sitting and being, which you could have done from day one. Ambition is awesome, but also a giant illusion at the end of road.
Look at Elon Musk. He his horny to go to Mars. But eventually he will discover it is a completely hollow goal. There is nothing to do on Mars once you are there. It is no better than scrolling through TikTok. Except TiKTok doesn't have you working yourself to death for an empty goal.

    That's what alcohol is for.
Alcohol is liquid extroversion. The reason most normies don't learn game is simply because they use alcohol instead.

BTW, John used a lot of alcohol to game back when he was in Vegas, so that is a major reason I never respected his game. I respect Owen a lot for promoting sober game. Getting drunk is not game, any fool can do that.
The hardest part of game is getting the state and verbals while stone cold sober from a day of logical work. That takes serious skill.
You will notice that extroverts and naturals don't work logical jobs, they work highly social jobs like sales. I'd like to see an extrovert do 8hrs of science before going out to game. See how that goes.

I dispute this. You are cherrypicking heavily.
Calling Huberman a scientist is a stretch. He is a celebrity influencer.
STEM guys struggle to get laid, struggle with socializing -- because they are borderline autistic. Of course some are sociable, like Richard Feynman. Hard science and socializing don't mix.

Your mind will not remember things it does not need.
Be careful trying to memorize a bunch of trival knowledge. Your mind is designed to remember what is practical to it.

    Yes, that is extreme extroversion.
But I could never live like that. I would rather be dead. To me, that is how total fools live. They talk without thinking.

    Thoughts on wigs for men?
So, I turn 27 in 2 weeks and the truth is: I am balding. I’ve struggled with this for awhile

However, I recently realized hair systems and wigs are a thing and wondering if anyone has experience with them.

  11. Dealing with Hairloss - Accept or be proactive?
Dealing with Hairloss - Accept or be proactive?
    Hey guys,
I'm in my mid 20's and not a single male in my family has hair to speak of. So I know where this is going.
I also know that I can do something about it (Finasteride, Minoxidil, Ketoconazol) - and now would be the time to take action. I'm unsure if I should pull the trigger. Side effects seem rare but substantial. I'd really like to keep my hair but it's hard to weigh the pro's and con's. Main motivation is honestly dating opportunities as I'm single.
What are your thoughts (and experiences with those meds if you have them)?
    Cheers!

The only way to get hair where there ain't any, is to plant it there.
No chemical is gonna cause a plant to grow where there were no seeds planted in the ground.
Hair is not magic, it needs a root.

Dermaneedling is also great for hair growth
Make sure to use the pins instead of the rollers though.
Theres actually a lot is men can do to reverse balding or at least slow down the process
I started balding at about 20 lol you win some and you lose some in the genetic lottery

  14. Hair Loss at 18
    Hair Loss at 18
The vast majority of hair loss cases in young men is due to androgenic male pattern baldness. Its a genetic thing that makes your hair follicles susceptible to the hormone DHT (Dihydrotestosterone), permanently shrinking and finally destroying the hair root in the process. DHT is a more potent form of testosterone, plays a part in many bodily systems from libido to psychoneurology/immune function and is formed from testosterone trough an enzyme called 5α-Reductase.
There are 3 well known products that can help you fight/delay the hair loss.
    1. Minoxidil (Rogaine (C) - twice every day, applied locally at the affected area) + (Microneedling (1,5mm) for better results)
    2. Ketoconazole-shampoo (2 times a week)
    3. 5α-Reductase-inhibitors (Finasteride) - which is pretty extreme since you basically interfere with hormon-synthesis

There are more out there products like topical anti-androgens or local dutasteride but I am not convinced by the effect or safety.
95% of hair loss in young men is caused by genetic predisposition- the rest could be due to stress, lack of micro-nutrients (B-vitamins, trace minerals..), thyroid-issues, infectious-diseases, side effects from drugs.....

    How to embrace balding
There's no real trick to it. Its just gonna be painful. But if you try to hide it you will increase the pain.
If it's mild you can consider a transplant. But if it's heavy you just gotta bite the bullet.

That's way overgeneralizing. They don't all have the same problems.
Introverts are good at introspective work.
My friend could not create Actualized.org videos.

People who look young for their age is not diet, it is genetics. Some people just have insanely favorable genetics, like actors.
Look at Tom Cruise. Dude looks amazing for his age. That ain't the salt.
Even Trump has great genetics at his age. He does not look 80 and he eats crap.

My test isn't really about survival. It is about how well you understand the animal. It tests understanding.

Naturals are better than PUAs. I know this first hand. I have professional PUA coach friends and one natural friend. The natural friend is way better.
One time I was talking about getting in state and he asked me, "What's state?" I explained it to him and he said, "Oh. I'm in state as soon as I get in my car." I said, You fucker!
You cannot beat a natural. That's because he is genetically wired for extreme extroversion. No introvert can be that good. These kind of extroverts are also usually quite good-looking. So they got all the cards stacked in their favor. It is a perfect storm of pussy magnetism.
Gaming with my natural friend is so fun. It's incredible. It's just like a party around him. And he knows nothing about pickup theory. It's all just intuitive. He could sell satanism to a nun.
But then he struggles in other areas of life. So it's all trade-offs. Extroverts got plenty of other problems.

Notice that you have no way of validating this scale.
You're just believing some dude, and you better believe this will come back to bite you in the ass.
I promise you that neither consciousness nor awakening can be placed on any kind of linear scale.

  21. Letting go: what that actually means?
Letting go: what that actually means?
That is the whole problem in a nutshell.
You can still practice dropping stuff. Including dropping intellectualization.
Letting go must be practiced 1000s of times. It's nowhere near enough to let go a few dozen times. This must be a daily practice for years.
See Sedona Method. It's worth doing.

  22. Leo, why did you say that?
Leo, why did you say that?
Jesus! Def don't do that for FWB arrangements.
If you talk about babies with her she will expect you to put a ring on it. Lol. That's only reasonable. You fucked up there. Set clear expectations from day one. Don't pull surprise plot twists on her. Don't over-promise stuff. Don't love-bomb and such. Play it chill.
FWB require very chill and sporadic.

  23. Leo, why did you say that?
Leo, why did you say that?
@Leo Gura is actually right on this and if you think about it biologically it makes sense.
Sex is evolutionarily meant for the purpose of procreation. So, from a biological perspective, when a woman decides that she wants to have sex with you, its the result of her primal brain deciding that you are a strong man and that she should have your baby.
In fact, you dont even need to cum inside her. Often times just TALKING about having babies during sex can get your woman super wet and excited at the idea and eventually get her super attached to you.
    Try it with caution though.
When I first learned about this, I went fucking crazy with it and used to do it to almost every girl - just talking about babies not actually cumming in her. Very often those women would develop very deep feelings for me and would result in us separating because now they were not happy with the fwb arrangement.
But, if you're in a relationship with a woman (or want to be in one with that particular woman) then go crazy with it.

I would say focus on improving your material situation. You are too young to be worrying about Awakening. You have time. I didn't start meditating till like 27. And that was shit meditation worth nothing.

    So many it is heartbreaking.
People just don't know how to behave themselves online.
It hurts me every time I am forced to ban someone. I don't want to ban anyone. But they leave me no choice.
