  1. When Curt asks about how he learned to communicate the way he does, he does have a surprisingly deliberate and methodical approach to maximizing how he is being understood, which was insightful. Then also, when he asked whether he does any prepping or psyching up before he goes on stage, he said "absolutely zero, it's like being in my living room, and it has always been like that". That shows how being grandiose and overconfident can actually be a positive thing when being a teacher, as you'll have less self-doubt, anxiety and other things that may make you stumble in your speech or subtract from the teaching in other ways. In fact, I think the narcissistically prone person is actually the best fit for the type of superficial, one-way, lecture type of teaching that is normal in our society, because they will study the best techniques for getting a positive response from their audience (because that is a lot of what they care about), to such an extent that it selects for a highly simplified and easily digestible format, which creates a perfect fit with that teaching format. And I can't stop myself from saying something about his MBTI type (he's an ENFJ), in that his highly methodical approach struck me as a very alien way of thinking for me as an INFP (very Fe focused, very "they" focused), and it also seems to be consistent with his strong allegiance to the "old mainstream" in science, as well as "Normal science" (coined by Thomas Kuhn), a.k.a. the highly loyal to in-group and cynical to out-group, almost dogmatic, "intra-paradigmatic" science. It all seems to go together nicely: the "just shut up and calculate" mentality, or like Neil puts it: "I just want to do the measurements and find the next planet — that's it", has a nice simplicity to it, just like his "I just want to teach easily digestible pop science to kids" mentality.
  2. I dont usually watch mainstream materialist scientists and especially celebs like NDT but I love the TOE channel and somehow I managed to watch the whole thing: I used to think the guy was somewhat intelligent but he showcased SUCH a high amount of ignorance and lack of open-mindedness that I honestly wonder how someone this unintelligent can be considered a rigorous scientist? Some highlights: (14:08) Had we been distracted by those kinds of questions over the past century, none of what we know about the universe would be known today. (15:56) philosophers aren't useful anymore 26:55 Curt: A Theory talks about what the heck you're dealing with. It talks about ontology, so there needs to be that component as well. NDT: Why does it need to be, if what we're doing still works? it needs to be to you, the philosopher, but to me the practicing scientist ... I don't need to know that. The search for that answer will distract me from other progress I will make in this physical universe. (46:03) Im not interested in testimonies, testimonies are the lowest form of scientific evidence. Bring an alien to the public square. (1:01:00) i didn't know porcupines climb trees so you probably didn't see a porcupine. And many more, I can't find all those gems ? Also, notice how extremely defensive NDT was in this whole interview. This ties perfectly to what @Leo Gura said about materialists in today's blog post. But to be honest I don't like your conclusion Leo, I'm pretty sure Curt, you, or Bernardo Kastrup can debate NDT or any other materialist and make them look ignorant since they are. Change starts from public discourse and the more content in favor of idealism comes out, the more people will get to question their beliefs.
  3. @WonderSeeker What’s up! ? Computer Scientist here. I’m thinking about doing a Microelectronics/IC Design MSc. About girls, I think we should just accept ourselves (embrace our weirdness) and just double down on what we love, expressing our passions as something beautiful. (Geology, Electronics, Coding, AI, Robotics, Science Fiction). When you truly embrace yourself and accept how Alien you are, people’s frame begin to shake. Add humor, magnetic presence and charisma to your own “weirdness”. You’ll perform miracles. When I say to girls that I code/love science they are just surprised… “What are you doing here in the club?” kind of vibe ? But in the end you’re just in the flow expressing yourself. Owen, Max and David DeAngelo - They are basically nerds/introverts and look at them, resourceful, magnetic and competent guys related to seduction/woman. They are an inspiration for us weirds ?
  4. Yes. Absolute Truth is non-conceptual. Beyond any conceptual "Awakening". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prajñā_(Hinduism) Not exactly a new idea. And for the Afficionados: Prajñā is not mainly Buddhist term. Not that some innocent religion gets shot this time. Please shoot this time: *** . Um, well, one can google it oneself if one is inclined for the shooting. And it is self-evident once realized. Always eternally here. Never having been anywhere else. If ones whole field of Awareness including the whole world shouts: Its wrong! That wouldn't change a thing. Because IT is self-evident. It is beyond any possible doubt. There is nothing further or higher. All of that would be relative appearance WITHIN Oneself, WITHIN Absolute Reality. IT IS. And IT IS You. Ralston: "some insight that'll come to me aha or some such it's not that. It is you so it can't come to you" I see this "putting the foot down" to not be gaslit since quite some time. It is a hilarious attempt of securing ones belief in certain "AWAKENINGS", not realizing the self-contradictory move of doing that. Absolute Truth can never be gaslit, and doesn't need to put the foot down. And it is not dreaming. The dreaming CAN appear WITHIN IT. And the waking up. Sorry, if one can be gaslit, and needs to protect ones "Awakenings" or whatever in an aggresive way... well, pretty self-explanatory. And mercy with the rodents please, they have a place in the Great Chain of Being https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_chain_of_being thank you Water by the River PS: By the way, yours truly doesn't consider himself as Nondualist or Buddhist or anything at all for that matter. On planet Gosuwabotl, planet 3 circling Sun Nr. 14124124234 in the galaxy Canis Major Dwarf, another spiritual system could be called Gosuwabotl *****-ISM. And if it would point to Absolute Truth, yours truly would be perfectly sympathetic to it, but also not identify with it. And I expect there are at least millions of alien civilizations in this Universe alone, with millions of different ***-ISMs leading to Absolute Truth. Not to talk about all other dimensions/Universes.
  5. So when I was a child I had a love for trippy, weird, and mind fucking shows. Just recently have I become more aware of how me being attracted to spirituality, Leo's work, and psychedelics had already started early on. Here are some examples. #1: Yu-Gi-Oh: "Is this all just a game?! " In the final season of Yu-Gi-Oh the protaganist realizes that him trying to save Egypt was all just a game he was playing against someone else. And the world and people within it were the playing field. The moment I watched this scene I was mindfucked and shocked and loved it: This show had some more mindfucks I loved. #2: Pokemon: Address Unown! Didn't watch much Pokemon as a kid cause I wasnt really into it. But I kept rewatching this specific episode. I really loved the weirdness of it. In this episode a strange alien-like Pokemon Unown sent Ash and his friends into the mind of a traumatized Pokemon Larvitar. They then explore his mental world to try and find the root of the trauma. I couldn't find a short clip online but you can watch it here at the 8-min mark: https://www.pokeflix.tv/v/05-address-unown. Or else just enjoy this cool image of the the Pokemon Unown. #3: Courage The Cowardly Dog (His Nightmares) I actually didn't love this as a child. I was scared to death. I was 4-5 years old though watching this. And then I kept re-watching it until I loved it. Nowadays it also reminds me of bad trips on shrooms and weed. This show had plenty more scary and bizarre shit. It seems nowadays they don't scare kids with things like Courage anymore There's more I could share but this is what I'll share for now. Took me a while to remember and find some of this lol. Feel free to share some of these yourself!
  6. @Leo Gura in my heart there's so much love for you, you have zero idea. I'll love you infinitely even if you thrash me with a rat broom. Now feeling someone's deep love for you is not possible through psychedelics but it's possible through alien consciousness I surmise. Alien consciousness can take you to the depths of love psychedelics cannot.
  7. @Leo Gura I mean the greatest lesson is infinite consciousness you know. All of psychedelics is meaningless if you aren't able to integrate love and unity. Even alien consciousness or ratty consciousness for that matter. We humans call each other illegal aliens. But alien consciousness is having the meta picture, knowing the ultimate good doesn't lie in the distinction of good and bad and constantly fighting but working as a team towards sovereign Infinite goodness.. Not preaching at all. Shambhu.
  8. I've just read I have no mouth and I must scream (for those interested, it's a dozen pages and can be found online), and I've noticed this pattern of me having a strong attraction but also being terrified in my guts (and I'm having a very hard time feeling fear for stories in general). There are a few other cases like this. One is the scene in the first Matrix movie, where Neo wakes up plugged in and see this dizzying, endless chain off people, and specially how everything you can see is just total dark and cold There also was that one episode in Love death robots, Beyond the aquila rift, where SPOILERS He wakes up in this desolated alien landscape where he endlessly revives horror (another element that triggers my strong fear feelings) END OF SPOILERS I'm not someone that can make analysis easily, therefore I just figured I had to look for more stories like that to figure out patterns and why it seemed so strong to me. It's weird to say, but in those cases and an few others, I feel like I fear those situations so much because they're..."real"? Like they will happend at some point? I also fear, as much as I am attracted to it, the concept of very far futures (like, more than just a few hundred years). Where things could be sooo different. Not sure what to make of all of this haha. But if you have movie/books/comics/games/whatever recommandations, shoot.
  9. Agree. AI is so dangerous that we cannot think what it can possibly do. But I'll try to do my best here: Leo said that he reached a new level of Consciousness: Alien Consciousness. I don't know what Alien Consciousness really IS. Assuming that Alien Consciousness is 10x more profound, capable and intelligent than Human Consciousness. Imagine an AI with THAT power/complexity/intelligence running millions of calculations per second about all ways to control and kill humans. Then imagine THAT intelligence growing and growing and growing, becoming more powerful and intelligent. We can understand more here: The AI-Alignment problem is one of the worst things we'll face in this century.
  10. @StarStruck It's complicated, based on developmental factors like stages of development, cognitive and moral development, personality types/traits, ego development, states of consciousness, life experiences and other lines of development per life-society domain, and ideological beliefs in your mind. Also, Just because @Leo Gura would have to defend himself from a murderous psychopath /=/ his philosophies including spirituality and alien consciousness and other complex modals of reality and psychology go out the window. There's a mistake in assuming that one's behavior must always align with one's belief systems and their justifications. No, actions can diverge from your said beliefs systems and justifications, so @Leo Gura defending himself isn't a contradiction, but rather out of love he defends himself from this imaginary psychopath because the psychopath is part GOD, Leo is part GOD, and this imaginary self defense situation and all it's experiences is part GOD, so there's no contradiction but only what is assumed and projected by YOUR EGO MIND!
  11. Do you think Bashar is alien awake / has achieved alien consciousness?
  12. You do too. If a psychopath was in front of your door all your fancy philosophy including alien consciousness would fly out of the door. One can understand it is all a grand play and then understand one must partake in the battle as explained in the Bhagavad Gita.
  13. ? wait till you awaken to "Alien Bullshit ". Where did I insult people? Can you please show me an example? So let me get this right ..you are saying everyone on this forum only exist In YOUR MIND..yet they are "relatively " less conscious than you ..which is something you're imagining ? Then who are you angry about? People that don't even fucking exist outside your mind ?? Then Why ban Nahm ,Gesundheit, Consilence, and now Moksha on the way ?
  14. @Carl-Richard Dreams within dreams? Imagination is inherently relative. Look at the conclusions of quantum physics, which are just another way for the absolute to realize itself, within its imagination. How could the cosmos be absolutely real, if time and space depend upon perception? Eventually as the dream unfolds, science and spirituality converge into truth. The cosmos is constructed on the scaffolding of false dualities. Every apparent dimension (life/death, cosmos/void, existence/non-existence) necessitates its opposite. It's the illusion of separation, where there is none. Solipsism, Infinity of Gods, Alien Intelligence, and Absolute Insanity are ideas. There are no true ideas, only some that point more clearly to the absolute than others. Your observation about the relative reality of insights, whether on psychedelics or otherwise, is spot on. They are unconfirmable, and inherent to the dream. Insights are only useful to the extent that they dissolve the idea of you.
  15. I’m not. I am pursuing self-actualization. I think it is dumb to pursue self-deconstruction when I haven’t even built my self up first to begin with. You can’t put the cart before the horse. The only way to awaken is through psychedelics, and I am not ready for that. Also, you can see my post on Awakening is a Self-deception. If Awakening is the absence of duality, that means Awakening and Deception are one. The more I see Leo go deeper into this work, the more I realize that at a higher level of consciousness, all my insights at this level of consciousness are subpar relative to higher levels. Look at his Solipsism insights, Infinity of Gods, Alien Intelligence, and Absolute Insanity. It’s like the higher you go, the more one pulls away from social/human reality. The deeper one goes, the more they realize that their previous level of consciousness was a lie. But your level of consciousness can go up Ad Infinitum. So that means that at an even higher of consciousness, all of Leo’s current insights will be wrong relative to that new dimension of consciousness. Where does it end? It doesn’t. Awakening is a Deception. That is the game I am seeing being played here by all spiritual folks. Edit; Here’s a thought experiment. What if Leo or some serious spiritual seeker tries a brand new psychedelic that contradicts all the insights gained on 5-MeO. How would we know which psychedelic leads to the best true insight? How can we trust the validity of the insights gained on the brand new psychedelic? How about 5-MeO? What if the Devil made this brand new psychedelic to go deeper into Absolute Delusion? How would you tell? How can you verify the truth-validity of a psychedelic when different ones give you contradictory insights? I wish Leo and other spiritual people would deconstruct psychedelics like they did with science and religion. Because at a higher level of consciousness, psychedelics are also imaginary like science and religion??? But saying that everything is imagination means nothing is imaginary and it is all real. If science is imagination, what is it imaginary relative to if everything is imagination? See the problem?
  16. @Max1993 I dont know I have never done it, I have only done shrooms twice One time i saw god and the next I saw alien. But its not about trying to articulate truth its about getting an understanding of it. When you do you will know you will have a physical reaction, or metaphysical reaction. It will feel physical but all reaction is metaphysical you will see
  17. Even though I don't know what Leo means by that, I do know that I am weird which makes me an alien around people. ? Also, you too. The world is our lab and people are the rats.? It has certainly made me more philosophically minded. I don't know why the word rat is popular in this forum.? I guess, because I was absent for 2-3 months.
  18. Bro exactly this ? For me it's so much nicer to function solo and not have a regular social circle. That way my interactions, even casual ones, stay very interesting and meaningful. Like every new social interaction is something to learn from, like I'm studying humans or something. Maybe I'm the alien Leo keeps talking about ?
  19. Some day you'll say the same about alien intelligence and infinity of gods I do sincerely wish you the best.
  20. Holy macaroni... as much as I love to watch a good old ideological mud slinging contest, can we all just agree to disagree? Here's an idea: Let us nondualists pursue freedom from conceptual thinking and egoic attachment, let Leo and his groupies take the psychedelic express train to Alien Insanity la la land, and everybody's happy. Sound good?
  21. I agree. Awakening is realizing who you are, and for most people it happens over and over again. Enlightenment is remaining awake within the dream. Lucidity deepens the more you dissolve. @Water by the River The challenge of marketing spirituality is that you constantly have to oversell yourself. Your paycheck is only as good as your latest, most profound insight. What comes after nonduality > alien intelligence > infinity of gods? Instead of selling water by the river, teach people to draw living water from within themselves.
  22. @Leo Gura Dude this word has been having me laughing for DAYS now ahhaha. Especially that one Insight post about Alien Insanity, the way you talk about "Non-dual Buddhist rats"
