Howdy. Thanks to all the replies here. I appreciate it. @Ajax I am sure you are a nice person. I have a lot to learn. I need better vocabulary. Thanks for your questions. 1. I first discovered Hinduism and the concept of Vishnu dreaming all realities and the concept of Maya as the dream or the illusion. My feeling is Leo accepts this also. 2. I'm not sure what Leo says about awakening or enlightenment. But I suspect once I see it, maybe it is bullshit in that Zen Koan kinda way. The Zen Master's seem to wink and giggle and laugh at the apprentice once he awakens. It seems like I need to have the realization and experience that I was enlightened all along and I was god all along. I feel like Maya is the false reality or the dream or illusion. I am wondering why should we wake up from the dream? It would be "meta" to acknowledge Maya. I would be happier as a Holy Fool immersed in Maya. Right now I am intellectually acknowledging Maya and I have gone "meta." Ignorance is bliss so maybe it is better not to notice Maya. But I like what @Moksha said above about direct living and not being attached to the outcome of our pursuits and being at peace if we can get enlightened. My phrase "afterlife of non-duality" means "the absolute" or unity or death or the cosmic oneness. I wonder if when we die, we merge with "the absolute" and we might be annoyed with everyone on this forum trying to wake up from the dream/Maya. Is the point to be the Holy Fool? Maybe enlightenment is a mistake and a glitch in the Matrix. I hope that clarifies my posts. -

Hell yeah… I love music, and I’m planning on playing the piano again soon! I jotted down some quick notes after my 3rd therapy assisted ketamine session. I haven’t looked at it since Jan 2022, so thank you for the reminder. Many of the insights for this session were about my love for music. Here they are; I’ve expanded and reorganized the insights ever-so-slightly to reflect my current understanding (like a music producer would, heh!) : The entire experience felt holistic… like music! Talkative during this session (whereas I was silent as a monk in previous sessions). Words coming out without force / effort. This doesn’t mean I was manic, although I observed how my mind originally tried to convince me I was. My therapist said that she was happy to hear me talking! At this point, it was evident that “me” and “my therapist” are identical. Music and life are synonymous During the come up I asked my therapist to make the music higher (it was playing through a portable speaker). You can experience music so intimately and connect it to memories deep within your subconscious. There are infinite degrees to this intimacy. At the peak of the trip, the music felt divine. The quality of the music was infinite. There was no longer judgement of the music. I experienced music beyond the human senses. I became MUSIC! I’m able to heal my own pain by giving it love and attention, rather than pushing it away and avoiding. At one point my heartbeat was so intense, it felt like I was about to implode. I opened my concern to my therapist; she said I looked completely calm. She said that I’m free to move and feel however I please. After the infusion, I asked one of the nurses if my heart rate was normal (they constantly monitor vitals in separate room). He said that nothing was wrong. Death is an illusion After the session ended I said, ”It feels like an endless orgasm.” My therapist said that I was experiencing bliss. Bliss is within and beyond all words. Distinction between what we call “reality” and “fiction” is imaginary/made up. All distinction is Infinite Imagination! One of the machines in the room makes a beeping sound when the infusion is almost over. My therapist warned me about it before the session; she suggested I simply ignore it when it starts beeping. When the beeping came on, I put my attention onto it. I found the sound to be universally hilarious :-D -

I also see truth and bliss, or love, as one and the same. Everyone mostly explained it through the Vedantic formulation on this thread, and i will try to explain it through a Sufi formulation. Islam, etymologically, comes from the root terms of peace and surrendering, selam and teslim. The idea is surrendering your personal will to the will of God, and it opens itself you up to the truth (enel Haqq as Hallaj said), and with it comes the deep peace. Sufis call God "Love" and "Beloved", and He is the source of being where, the ocean, where the drop discovers that his being is but the dance of the ocean, and that is experienced as ecstacy, fulfillment and love. God wants to know himself, and that's why He emanates from Himself, as a result of an explosion of Love, and becomes the world and the human, as caliphs and manifestations of Love, where the One gets into the experience of time and space, and of realizing Himself. The Truth, or Haqq, is one of the names of God, and in the form of human, He is always in a relationship with Himself, and the more the human manifestation of His surrenders his personal identity, and selfishness, the more the more the name of Haqq and Compassion, or Love to think of that name in another way, opens himself up to Himself. That's why peace, love and truth open themselves up as the experience of the human as the human recollects the knowledge of God being his inner self, with him always. That's what i've been inspired to write for now, maybe we can expand on it, more extensively, later on. -

It is my personal experience. I can do the Eckhart Tolle thing and sit for hours on a park bench, with bliss flowing through my being by cutting off the self-contraction and resting in what is. Which I often do. I was doubting that when it started (it started before all insights into the nature of being were fully in place), doubting it just like you. And then it didn't stop, didn't get broken, even by really heavy blows. It has established its own momentum and force and continued ripening. Then later what I really am got confirmed by certain states/realizations beyond any possible doubt. If my character tries to do its old thing of grasping certain experiences (or avoiding others) and suffering while doing so, there is literally the choice to believe it or rest in Awakened Awareness (which brings its own bliss, and more that the sought for experience), and it is spotted very fast. Can my "character-thing" be improved? For sure it can. It has a long hang-over of self-contraction. But its ability to really reestablish the self-contraction (which blocks the flow of bliss/openness of Awakened Awareness states) with real belief in it and on an ongoing basis is structurally gone. Well, I am not going to convince you just by writing. But not writing it is also not an option. Ken Wilber once wrote that the obligation one has if one sees is to tell, or else the soul gets very sick. I would have no problem leaving the forum behind. Although I enjoy writing, I got many nice things to besides, and wouldn't miss it. But it would be the wrong thing to do. So, I kindly ask you to be at least agnostic to what I write. Be also honest why you wrote "be honest". I have the feeling there is something mildly annoying you in my writing. I can only invite you to try the path I walked, and described in many posts (Mahamudra/Dzogchen, mainly Pointing out the Great Way), or any other path, and see for yourself. There is a risk of establishing self-limiting beliefs when there is too much doubt in the reachability of the fruits of the path. Literally every tradition confirms this as the potential of every sentient being. I will continue posting mainly these old texts (because they show the universality of these realizations over the centuries). Sometimes telling about "ones own" experience is ok, but if one does it all the time, it can easily become self-importance boosting, or can come across as such. Bon voyage Water by the River -

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satcitananda "Satcitananda (सच्चिदानन्द) is a compounded Sanskrit word consisting of "sat", "chit", and "ananda", all three considered as inseparable from the nature of ultimate reality called Brahman in Hinduism.[9] The different forms of spelling is driven by euphonic (sandhi) rules of Sanskrit, useful in different contexts.[9] sat (सत्):[10] In Sanskrit, sat means "being, existence", "real, actual", "true, good, right", or "that which really is, existence, essence, true being, really existent, good, true".[10][note 2] cit (चित्):[12] means "consciousness" or "spirit".[13][14][15] ānanda (आनन्द):[16] means "happiness, joy, bliss", "pure happiness, one of three attributes of Atman or Brahman in the Vedanta philosophy".[16] Loctefeld and other scholars translate ananda as "bliss"" Shankara's Crest-Jewel of Discrimination https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vivekacūḍāmaṇi Now I shall tell you the nature of the Atman. If you realize it, you will be freed from the bonds of ignorance, and attain liberation. There is a self-existent Reality, which is the basis of our consciousness of ego. That Reality is the witness of the three states of our consciousness, and is distinct from the five bodily coverings. That Reality is the knower in all states of consciousness-waking, dreaming and dreamless sleep. It is aware of the presence or absence of the mind and its functions. It is the Atman. That Reality sees everything by its own light. No one sees it. It gives intelligence to the mind and the intellect, but no one gives it light. That Reality pervades the universe, but no one penetrates it. It alone shines. The universe shines with its reflected light. Because of its presence, the body, senses, mind and intellect apply themselves to their respective functions, as though obeying its command. Its nature is eternal consciousness. It knows all things, from the sense of ego to the body itself. It is the knower of pleasure and pain and of the [ 62] sense-objects. It knows everything objectivelyjust as a man knows the objective existence of a jar. This is the Atman. the Supreme Being, the ancient. It never ceases to experience infinite joy. It is always the same. It is consciousness itself. The organs and vital energies function under its command. Here, within this body, in the pure mind, in the secret chamber of intelligence. in the infinite universe within the heart, the Atman shines in iu captivating splendour. like a noonday sun. By its light, the universe is revealed It is the knower of the activities of the mind and of the individual man. It is the witness of all the actions of the body, the sense-organs and the vital energy. It seems to be identified with all these, just as fire appears identified with an iron ball. But it neither acts nor is subject to the slightest change. The Atman is birthless and deathless. It neither grows nor decays. It is unchangeable, eternal. It does not dissolve when the body dissolves. Does the ether cease to exist when the jar that enclosed it is broken? The Atman is distinct from Maya, the primal cause, and from her effect, the universe. The nature of the Atman is pure consciousness. The Atman reveals this entire universe of mind and' matter. It cannot be defined. In and through the various states of consciousness-the waking. the dreaming and the sleeping-it maintains our unbroken awareness of identity. It manifests itself as the witness of the intelligence. Water by the River -

Likely possible and extremely rare. Refer to the story of Ramana Maharshi. Truth is what you should be after, not feeling good. Bliss may be inherent to one's nature but grounding our search for truth on the pursuit of "pleasure" is not appropriate. Becoming conscious of the Truth must be the committed goal. Granted, Would any human pursue the truth if he were completely happy and free from suffering? What is happiness? In any case, it's likely we have no idea what bliss is. It may not be what we think it is. -
Where God is there is also maya. When was He not? Therefore, maya is equally beginningless. Where is the end of it? To whom does one feel attracted? Whose manifestation is it? Reflect deeply! If all is His manifestation, then whose maya is it? Endeavour to find yourself, be it as the Lord’s eternal servant, be it as the Atma. You are immortal—the Bliss of the Self. Why then has one to experience birth and death? There is but the Self reposing within Itself. ~ MA Anandamayee

God is Bliss, you deny it because you are a devil. Bliss is a facet of God/Reality/Awakening. Only the ego and darkness can deny the right of God to reclaim one of this most fundamental attributes and rights. So much darkness in this forum unfortunately. I will be leaving this place soon if people don't start to open their hearts more and actually purify themselves. If you are in the path of Awakening, careful with getting poisoned with messages of devils that defend darkness and reject Light and Goodness. -

Many years ago I was deeply devoted to the truth or spiritual path, I did everything as a strict yogi or monk would, for many months I live minimally and cut out everything that no longer served my highest good or truth. Many months later I had realized I had been in an unconscious/conscious state for many months in what seemed to be an ever-present bliss. I only came back into my body and ego when I had to write my name in a document, I realized wow... I completely forget I had a name and am this person, this character, had this life ect.. ect... before that I was in this heavenly haze of another level of awareness but sadly I cannot remember it clearly, at least with my ego-mind. No psychedelics were used, just daily meditation, books, solfeggio frequencies in headphones, fasting, eating very little, being in my own little bubble. Psychedelics give me some glimpses of that but nothing really comes close to takes me back, I was absolutely gone for months. What on earth happened and what did I experience? I can never seem to get back there, I was triggerless, always blissfull, had no ups or downs, at least to the best of my ability to remember, its like a faded memory now, but ever now and then I gain greater clarity and remembrance of that experience. When I forgot I was this person and had a name...

it's more to explore yourself from different angles. Or different perspectives. It's really not about taking away the bliss. The bliss only seems to be taken away when one finite angle is explored- because in that moment you cannot be all angles. All angles is what brings the bliss because it is total Oneness- everything united. But then, specific aspects of yourself cannot be lived through. The bliss of Oneness must be sacrificed to experience this. But it is never gone forever. -

Just layin' out the basic law of existence... don't shoot the messenger. Bliss may be the essence of your being, but you can only experience it in contrast with "not bliss". That's why you are here. That's why ANYTHING AT ALL is here. What else would be the purpose of form aka. (apparent) duality? -
Breakingthewall replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Good logic-based mental construction. wrong by the way. We call happiness to the default state of being, it is existence. Unhappiness is what we call obstacles that occur, and that have evolution as their purpose. they are a necessary tool. they really are nothing, they are apparent, reality is absolute happiness, that is, it does not need unhappiness as a contrast to be bliss. what we call bliss is simply the normal state of being, but we are involved in an evolutionary work towards more complex forms and we have few free hours, or none in many cases -

Because there is nothing else to do. You can choose/modify the quality, intensity and duration of the experience of "not bliss", but you cannot completely get rid of it. Existence is the eternal dance between opposing polarities. From darkness into light... and from light into darkness. Eliminate one of them, and you eliminate the experience of existence itself. -

That's true, without comparison you couldn't call it Bliss. But I´m saying, once you know the opposite, I think at least for me is enough. Why keep visiting darkness? @Bazooka Jesus Like Alan Watts said "once you get the message, hang out the phone". Once you have seen darkness, why keep going over and over to darkness again ?? -
caspex replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I wouldn't call it absolute bliss but I am able to generate energizing pleasure mixed with peace and stability at will. It seems the key is to let go of your attachment to the body completely, for the experience of unconditional pleasure. And letting go of your mind, ceasing to control it and identify with it, so completely. This gives rise to joy and happiness. Combined it feels really good and you can generate it in any condition. It's not dependent on your mood. The only reason that state isn't constant for me is because I haven't practiced it enough. The idea behind letting go is very simple and basic but you have to do it at such a degree where you almost have to grab onto your body through your will to stay in it. -
Guest replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Javfly33 What I am saying is that you don't know what bliss is until and unless you experience "not bliss". Light without darkness stops being light because there is nothing to contrast it with. That's why form exists. God can only know itself as love and bliss if it gets to experience the opposite. -
Javfly33 replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
What question LOL. She asked me several of them. I don't know how to answer them. I don't understand those questions. There is a mistake in your thinking. 24/7 Bliss stops being bliss, when you actually fall down off the bliss to a lower state of consciousness, and ego thoughts start to say "Hey! I´m tired of the bliss! This is getting boring! I want to experience some suffering!" See? The bliss stops being bliss when you are actually not anymore in the state of Bliss. If you stay in the state of Bliss, the Bliss always is Bliss People say "but you will get tired of always being blissful!!". Of course, you get tired but because you again are in the ego mind, where thoughts of 'boringness' can exist again. However, I must say, if one could truly have a 'panel of control' to activate or disactivate Bliss at will, yes, I think one would not be in a state of Bliss 24/7. One would explore different states and overall as I have said, if one is doing certain material things in the dream, one can not be in a state of Bliss or one won't do the work right, like Driving, operating machinery, giving talks, writing a book....etc. But, most of you guys problems is not this, not even close, you should first taste what really is Bliss, and stay there for a long fucking time...then start thinking about being so Cool about letting it go to do higher purpose/help the world... -

24/7 bliss stops being bliss. A thing cannot exist without its opposite. What do you think we're all doing here? -
Javfly33 replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I mean, at least, personally, when I think about bliss, I´m not talking about psychological happiness or physical pleasure. But you are right, since bliss or love are just words, for each people have different meanings. In what sense you are trying to help? -
Moksha replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Words like bliss and love mean different things to people. As I define bliss, it is unconditional being, free from illusions and suffering. As I define love, it is the reality of absolute sameness, beyond the appearance of differences. I see these differently than the human emotions of bliss and love, which no matter how hard we try to hold onto them, always slip through our fingers. It is impossible for human bliss and love to last forever. Like every duality, they eventually necessitate the opposite. If you are awake, you can anchor your awareness in absolute bliss and love, even within the dream. Human emotions still come and go, as they must. Absolute bliss and love are perpetual, and can be perpetually realized within the dream. -

Keep playing your dialectical games. Then everyone is my DMs asking me for "what is my technique" and all of that. Thank god you guys didn't care about feeling good ? you were so above me that you don't care about suffering, you are so "selfless". Yet, when shit hits the fan, you want what you want as any living creature in this planet. You think you are spiritual by rejecting pleasure/well being/bliss. Yet it is in this denial when you are being the most egoic. The most devil, the most darkness. Darkness denying Light! Of course The ego denying Goodness. Of course. Of course.
