The biggest problem is that you are not considering how badly this scheme could backfire. You assume intelligence is a singular well-defined and quantifiable thing, but in practice it isn't. 2) Overgeneraliziation from a few anecdotes to entire classes of people is untruthful. The truth is that there is a huge diversity of different people in the world and no simplistic pattern of which of them are good or bad.
It is true however that long-distance relationships will almost always fail. Because if you really cared about the relationship deeply enough you would change the situation to make it short-distance.

What this logic fails to see is that sugar is basically everywhere and everyone takes way too much of it, causing massive cases of obesity, diabetes, etc. What does your body do when it has too much energy? I think you are over-theorizing it. At your stage of development you need very basic, tangible, material results and actions. Not sophisticated philosophical theory or models.
Your goal should be to build a career, train up career skills, and develop financial independence -- so that you have resources to work with.
Maslow's Hierarchy of needs is not going to help you find a job or build a career -- which is what it sounds like you need.
I suggest you spend at least a few years focusing on being hyper practical and material. Take the actions necessary to build a career. This mostly means: 1) getting very clear about what your career should be, 2) training the skills needed to do that job, and 3) create a solid portfolio of work that demonstrates your skills to employers. This is how you get hired.
Once you do that, you will be in a good position to do more sophisticated theoretical things.
