This question is a reaction to Leo's recent post on his vlog about Ben Shapiro, specifically about blue stage people not understanding green stage individuals. Although I'm humbly in line with Leo's remarks on the praised John Lennon's song "Imagine", I wonder what over example could you guys come up with regarding Ben Shapiro's point of view. In fact he seems like a quite educated man and I feel encouraged to go along with most of what he has to say about politics and religiosity.
So what would you say are instances of Ben Shapiro failing to understand Truth and the "material" world we appear to be living in ? Is it possible that Green doesn't understand Blue ?

I surprised myself today and had a big falling out with my dad over the phone. I'd love to get another opinion on this matter but don't really have anyone to talk to, but I'd really appreciate any input. 
A little backstory: 
After my mom divorced him when I was 11, my dad and I lived together until I was 18. It wasn't good. My dad was very emotionally unavailable, had no emotional control and no ability to empathize. As a young boy I needed structure and a father figure but his abilities were more like a child's. This would trigger me so much that I'd hit him and throw stuff, I'd get so damn angry, just trying to get some understanding, some reaction. He'd just take it. He would behave like the victim, which is a running theme throughout his life. 
At the time he was addicted to alcohol as well, and would come into my room at 2AM to tell me he loves me. He would go through his phone contact list while drunk and call all these people telling them all these very inappropriate emotional things. Needless to say he has pushed everyone away in his life. He never took responsibility for this. He's the good guy, he's the victim. After all "his heart's in the right place" which in his view of the world is all that matters. 
Now skip ahead. I'm an adult, he's 69 years old and completely alone with no friends or social circle. We get along on a certain level, but whenever there's something I wanna tell him or I get my feelings hurt, he'll laugh at it, lie about something or blame something else. ANYTHING to change the subject. He has no ability or willingness to introspect and will immediately turn on me whenever I have feedback or criticism on his behavior. 
I understand that he must have had some huge trauma as a kid which caused him to be so emotionally unavailable. I think he was sexually abused, which he told me sometimes when drunk when I was like 13 years old, which is of course very inappropriate.
He's also old now and much cognitive decline over the years. 
I also understand that I will never get him to introspect or make any real attempt at emphasizing. But that doesn't take away the fact that his attitude is very disrespectful and hurtful. Preserving some parts of his ego is more important to him than the relationship with his wife (my mom) or even with me. It's like trying to carve up a diamond with a potato knife. 
Now although the life lesson "the ego can be very blunt" is super interesting and dandy, it's not really helping me right now. Part of me wants to break all contact with him for all the bullshit, but I can also see how he's tried his best in life but only if I view him as sorta "cognitively handicapped". 
Thinking about it now I can come up with another turnaround: maybe I secretly still want him to understand me, and I'm projecting my own trauma now. But whatever man, I'm just sick and tired of this shit. 
Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Most of us has spend plenty to time slandering communism and crusading against it.
But at the end of day, communism has elevated millions of people from poverty, provided a hedge for countries who were bullied by the western governments, developed nuclear weapons and never used them, literally won the space race, made immense personal sacrifice for others, and they went through suffering, pain and tragedy that a human mind can hardly tolerate. 
Their art had so much depth since engrained in their in souls were desperately longing for expression and love they deserved but couldn't get due to their circumstances. 
They are people too who were stuck with the decisions made by a few assholes and that doesn't make them our enemy.

I'm too lazy to find the videos but if you type "carnivore diet arterial calcification score" or something like that you will see that many (well, relative to the size of the community) have good scores, despite what we could believe.
 

There are so many possible tests and they are so expensive that you really need to be in search of a health problem when picking tests.

Part of the challenge here in how you define "core".
Sorta by definition, if you are able to change some part of yourself then it wasn't core to you. Core would be the stuff that refuses to change even after much effort.
Obviously there are part of yourself and your life which you can change. But human minds are not infinitely flexible. There is a core to your personality which ties in with your brain chemistry, genetics, childhood conditioning, baseline state of consciousness, physical health, and so on.
In a certain sense you must learn to live with yourself.
What makes it tricky is that you don't always know what is core to you and what is not, what you can change and what you cannot. So you have to be careful not to create limiting beliefs. But you also have to be careful not to brainwash yourself with fantasies.
In the end you're just gonna have to put in a lot of effort and see what sticks and what doesn't. Some change will come naturally and some change will be like iceskating uphill.

It's way more intelligent than its IQ though, due to humans having so much bias.
Jordan Peterson probably has a pretty high IQ. But his bias cripples the intelligence of anything he says.
Chris Langan supposedly has one of the highest IQs in the world, yet his political takes are cringe.
The problem is that IQ tests don't measure bias nor cognitive development level. So you could have someone with 150 IQ who is a Nazi.

Do not wait for an employer to do it for you.

By the diverse range of opinions you are getting, you can tell we've all had a lot of different life experiences, with a lot of different cultures. I learned this in my early 20's, when we all used to immaturely look at an ugly guy and wonder how he got that stunning girl.
Eventually, I stopped wondering. Looks mean almost nothing.

If you just want to get laid, approach a lot of women.
If you want a girl you can connect with, go do what you love, and while doing it come across a kindred spirit. Then don't screw it up  its not easy to find.
The third option is to wait for attraction to hit you while you are with someone. Then it's hit-and-miss but can be intense, or just nuts, or both. For this, you need to meet women, be around them, and talk to them socially.
 

@Princess Arabia That is wrong. A nice muscular frame looks more attractive than a thin spindly frame on a man. And women certainly notice it intuitively and subconsciously. Will that alone get you laid? Probably not, but it will grease the wheels.

@Hatfort It's more complex than that because pregnancies have all kinds of complications past 4 months.
In practice, though I agree that we can set some reasonable cut-off point for normal healthy pregnancies. Perhaps at 4 months. And longer if doc sees there are complications.
I think this would be a good political compromise. But the hardcore right-wing will not accept such a compromise because they got it in their mind that all abortion is murder and they use compromise to keep pushing that timeline lower and lower and lower because they want it at zero and with no exceptions for rape, incest, or complications.
But about 75% of the US would agree to such a compromise. The ban abortion crowd is a small but vocal minority.

Notice how this issue involves a struggle to draw a boundary/duality between: alive vs not-alive, conscious vs not-conscious, autonomous vs not-autonomous, part of the mother vs not part of the mother, fully human vs biomass, human vs fly, right vs wrong, moral vs immoral, etc.
The mind wants to ground reality in such boundaries, but all such boundaries are untenable because reality is ONE. Which is why you struggle and struggle to draw those boundaries but will always fail. And why people disagree so much about where the boundaries lie.
There is no point at which a baby is conscious or alive or autonomous or human. There is no point at which a baby is separate from a pine tree. Getting that takes you meta. Learning this lesson is one of the most important things Actualized.org has to teach you. Stop falling into the trap of objectifying dualistic distinctions. If you manage to do that, your mind will be set radically free and peace can come to the world.
Or, continue fighting over imagined dualities.
