I would take psychedelics over the best gurus, and a therapist is nowhere near the level of a good guru.
With that said, therapy is still useful. But it won't work for you if you're short on cash. Effective therapy requires lots of sessions and will be very costly.
Session per session psychedelics will grow you 10x to 100x faster than therapy. Talking about psychological matters is nowhere as effective as direct spiritual consciousness. Talk therapy is notoriously slow.

The more conscious I get the less satisfaction I get from socializing with unconscious people. Not because I am closedminded, but because I have nothing to gain from it.
For example, if I approach a girl who is a fundamentalist Christian I just walk away. There is no satisfaction I can get from her.

As a baseline, you need a deep existential relationship with life. You have to regard all of life with the gravity it deserves, not as something comfortable that you feel entitled to. You have to frame your whole attitude in a deeper context. Rats and birds are shivering to death right now outdoors somewhere. That's life! Not this artificial stuff that humans have invented. Life is serious business and must be treated with much respect.
You can't feel entitled to anything, not to happiness, not to health, not to freedom, not to comfort, not to freedom from pain.
This is the right starting point. Humans are spoiled and corrupt. This corruption makes you weak, pathetic, and miserable.
