But that's the strategy I used to bootstrap my LP. It works but requires serious commitment to your long-term vision and it will be painful as you work for years on something which is not your passion/LP just to one day fund your LP. And by the time you make enough money you may forget all about your original LP. It will be hard to say No to the money and go back to start your music from square one.
