What is the substance of consciousness? What is consciousness made of? What’s the ultimate “thing” of existence?

Consciousness is exactly what you are experiencing. That's it.

What else could it be? Other than it's own perpetuality?

It is the bottom that creates the bottom.

It can't be made of anything, since it imagines all things.

Consciousness is undefined.

You are God. You are Love. You are Infinity. You are Leo.

@73809 Consciousness is meaning. And as meaning, its qualities are determined by contexts. Have a look at my paper "Is Qualia Meaning or Understanding?": https://philpeople.org/profiles/cosmin-visan

And then to find out even more about the interplay between meanings and contexts, check-out "Telepathy: A Real-World Experiment".

To know what consciousness is first you have to locate it. But since it cant be located we would have to infer it doesnt have substance. Hence its nothing. Yet its there isnt it... Its a very mysterious nothing. ;)

It's made of neurons.

The strange-loop you missed, though.

"Consciousness is made of matter" = materialist paradigm.

"Matter is made of consciousness" = idealist paradigm.

A strange loop? When you collapse the duality of consciousness and matter, what's it called?  A philosophical name is the "neutral monad"  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neutral_monism   although it's a slightly awkward name. So I prefer to call it being, love, suchness or even (on a good day) God instead.

Consciousness is made from the alphabet. But what do I know? But how do I know that I don't know? Arghh... help.... me.....

Consiousness is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is.
