High Consciousness Hobbies

38 posts in this topic

@Insightful27 self hypnosis, this hobby is pretty relaxing if you find a good hypno therapist..

You can easily reprogram your subconscious mind and succeed.

Even though its a combo of affirmation and visualizations you hardly put in any effort in it just plug in and sleep.

Personally, I quite like playing Overwatch

Same! I'll normally play with a few of my close friends.

Jerking off on meth and benzos to hardcore porn seems like high consciousness hobby

I started cooking with an instant pot to have simple meals. I've been eating so clean lately and feel great, a big part of that is just learning how to cook grains, oats, beans, pasta like this. It's been a nice hobby and improvement

Haha.

@Insightful27 Anything that involves using your hands and/or body.

Some odd hobbies are wood carving, stone throwing, puzzle solving(like the ones you see on youtube), origami, magic tricks ...

Write the story you want to manifest. With your POV as the Protagonist, you can build your character to the person you'd want to be, set the setting in an environment that you want to see, and then create the future of your life. What are the obstacles you want to overcome? What good or bad does your character bring to reality? Where are you trying to go, and what are you trying to accomplish?

One of the best hobbies for your brain is learning to play an instrument. Proven benefits to memory, spacial reasoning, literacy skills, creativity, mental alertness/reaction time, and an easy way to improve your social life.

Do the weirdest thing you'd never do and feel the awkwardness.
Discomfort is a great hobby for learning to get out of your box.

Listen to music you dislike, speak to people you dislike, learn from topics you don't care about, dance in a way you would laugh at yourself, etc.

Arguing with people about non-duality on this forum is almost like ultra spiritual thing to do.

Anything using your imagination and actualizing it in reality. The joy of creation.

You can make an art out of anything. Even drug gangs have an art to their job.

Hiking is a great hobby depending on your location. I have found it to be a very fulfilling and challenging experience. It really makes you connect with the environment and depending on the difficulty it can be an extreme workout. I have had some unforgettable experiences with it and would love to have some more ventures with it.

Do your practice, and then do whatever you want. Then whatever you're doing will be a high consciousness hobby.

During this quarantine, I have been trying to find new high consciousness hobbies and habits to start practising. Does anyone have hobbies that you enjoy? I'm just looking for ideas of things to start doing besides the normal Self-Actualization stuff (Meditating, Journaling, Reading, Contemplating, etc.) I'm open to any new ideas!

Drawing, tai chi, chi gong, yoga, listening to different and similar songs, cooking, Baduk, and any other board game, poetry/storytelling, creative writing. To name a few, maybe I'll come back with some more ideas.

@Danioover9000 Remember to be extra careful about being conscious enough!

Learn how to juggle with 3 balls.
You literally can learn it in one long evening.
Just buy 3 tennis balls for few bucks.

What it gives you?
It helps you to catch anything if something's thrown to you.
It helps to catch something if something falling... during shower for example :D

It's really great skill which require little effort to master.

What a dream, what a joke, love it   :x
