Spiral Dynamics Stage Yellow Examples Mega-Thread

1,206 posts in this topic

Inspired by Ken Wilber's "pre/trans fallacy" (conflating the pre-rational with the trans-rational), I came up with "the relative/absolute fallacy": conflating the relative with the absolute. It's the most notorious source of confusion in spirituality in general. Wilber's concept captures the confusion that somebody may encounter from an outsider perspective, while my concept is most often applicable to internal confusion within spiritual circles. Additionally, many cases of the pre/trans fallacy are actually specific cases of the relative/absolute fallacy.

@MaxV

Nah, a glimpse maybe, seem more like orange to me.

This kind of channels suffer from severe mental masturbation. Claim to be open minded yet struggle to leave their materialistic worldview.

Experience is king, and these people got none.

@nowimhere @Rilles He's amazing, yes. There are a couple other videos of his up on YouTube as well, although they are all quite similar in their content.

Focuses on sustainable, long term impact rather than short-term superficial help via some savior complex
