Great conversation on the potential of DeFi to not only empower people but fundamentally free them. If you can make your own money and store it securely then the ability of authoritarian structures to oppress you drops by like 90%.
Think of all refugees having had to flee their country in the past 50 years and cross a border into a foreign land with basically 0$ to their name! Crazy that people made it, I’m proud of them but let’s leave that to the past.
That plus AI agents leaves me extremely optimistic for the future and the empowerment of the individual and eventually our species as a whole.

@samijiben Why are ethics and chasing the bag incompatible ethics? That’s demonstrably false and a toxic mindset.
-
Agreed. Obsidian is phenomenal and the best tool for building a second brain/commonplace book there is.
-
@Something Funny Of course. Depends on which causes you wanna back but green energy is a trending stock just as much as defence contractors.
You can always just build something yourself. Investing is using your capital to further someone's mission. And due to the global financial markets being based on speculation that has more leverage than you just using that money on your life(those sweet exponential returns) but it doesn't necessarily have to.
I would argue that Crypto and AI agents are gonna lead to some of the most ethical projects as they support decentralization of governance and ownership as a whole.

I'm a dating photographer and looking to turn that into a media empire slowly but surely. I used it to network and make a few social circles, its a fun side hustle.

Just beware of being super concerned with consciousness and ethicality can also turn into a path to more egotism and more sneakily procrastination. Of course you can pursue music and still do it consciously.
Did you post a piece of content/work on your art yesterday and today though or just mentally masturbate about being an ethical person is a more important question IMO.

Spotify is good! Worked a manual labor job recently and I would listen to the episodes for hours without wifi so that helped.

@Jayson G I think understanding corruption, power, wealth and other materialistic concepts are probably more important than actual spiritual principles. That's like saying why focus on eating when you're God! Also the deeper I get into politics the more complicated it seems so seek first to understand then to be understood is a phenomenal adage.
@Daniel Balan Didn't you just answer your own question lol, unless I'm misunderstanding you describe being jaded and lacking trust in people more than understanding them. Great reason not to dive too much into corruption or for example red pill in a dating context.
@How to be wise What's more spiritual than understanding the human condition and the truth and reality of our existence here on earth?
@Leo Gura Thanks for the update brother, what would you say are like your top 3 books on the list and what you liked about them?

I like the idea of practicing maximum effort regularly. Pushing limits is not usually something humans are comfortable doing but it is exhilarating and less monotonous than just tedious work all the time.
What do you mean by sprints other than running?

@Joshe Which AI model did you use for that screenshot? It's well formatted

Really good context. He was an online author and she found his work funny which lead to them communicating and then eventually getting married. Demonstrating some kind of competence or value online is one of the most reliable ways to cast a wide net and get long term ROI in dating so makes sense.
People have touched on the emotional safety/bond aspect which is true as well but also another key interesting thing is with the way biotech is looking right now this guy might very well be walking in 10 years and they'll be a normal couple with a crazy badass story.
Perhaps the universe knows what its doing

@Lyubov Agreed, this mirrors the red pill stages of grief : anger, denial, bargaining, depression and acceptance. Focusing on the bad parts of how unactractive you are is basically anger/depression stage and what makes up black pill thinking.
@Princess Arabia Yes acceptance of pain is one of the biggest ways to relieve it. You seem to imply that it's useless to build anything outside of that though.
@Tenebroso You seem to be stuck in the black pill stage of anger, empower yourself brother.
@Hojo For sure looking to escape the pain of life through a woman will never work long term. Only spirituality and purpose truly help in my experience and women are your companions on the way.

You're on the right track in using AI to expand on the model. It has a lot of potential for self-exploration especially in analyzing our thousands of posts here. Thanks for sharing.
I'm gonna use it to flesh out my life purpose more.

Yeah it makes sense for it to be based in powerlessness.
I like this meditation here that focuses on love and kindness towards yourself and others. I found it healing for me -
It’s a great time to be a philosopher. Read books, talk with AI and make videos about it. Hard to monetize in the short term but plenty of people figure it out in different ways.
-
That makes sense thank you for sharing. I have a lot of hope in AI and AI agents in helping solve things like this through logging and shifting through data that humans end up giving up on.
Harsh example is apparently there are hundreds of thousands of rape kits that go unchecked due to lack of manpower.
-
@Lyubov Do you have a YouTube channel or where do you post your videos? Curious to see
-
@Schizophonia Highly disagreed based on your post, regular people just go out and date and don’t overthink 30 different scenarios not to try lol
Just give it a go if it appeals to you, on the other side of fear you usually find love(in different ways.)
-
I mean sure you can find ways to not think about it and in times when I was mostly working on myself and my purpose I didn’t think about it too much(although fapped a lot) but perhaps an even deeper question is why would you go through that? Perhaps the deeper growth if you’re a 32 year old virgin is learning how to get laid?
@Someone here You can have much deeper and satisfying sex if you want to then come and done lol

I am basically situated in life that all of the devils fools gold is not available to me anymoreI basically can't talk anymore and have constant inflammation of the face, tongue and jaw all day and it'll never go away
All of survivals goodies are locked away from me
Tbh I'm ready to die, I lost my job a year ago bc of my conditions and am just scraping by off benefitsCreating a career in my passions seems impossible since you need to be able to communicate with others properly
plus why would i even have the motivation to pursue it, even if I had 10 million dollars and success with life purpose, I couldn't even talk to a girl or kiss her, it's literally almost physically impossible and hurts, talking and moving my tongue hurts
How do I give my life to God? I can probably live of benefits my entire life but I hate my human self since i'm pointless and have so much desire that I can't fulfill, like I'm in a wheelchair or in jail
Just do hardcore meditation all day everyday to try and permanently lose the ego self and awaken and thats it? it feels like hell even thinking about it, but maybe that's the point.I would do exactly the exact opposite of meditation all day and try to lose the ego. I would triple down on the passion/business, make a lot of money and look into the new advances in medicine/biotech. It's the best decade in human history to have chronic illness. Pretty good chance that in 10 years you're cured in good shape and with your money in order right in time to enjoy the "devil's fools gold".
Also this part isn't directed to you but this whole forum and the men in it, I hope you realize that "being above" becoming a high status and attractive man is the fool's gold. What's harder in life, overcoming all your mental blocks finding focus and offering value to thousands if not millions in the marketplace to become rich or sitting in your room telling yourself that it doesn't matter and you're God you don't need to try?
The reason attractive women like fit guys with their shit together is it screens out the weak men that can't/won't do it. And this is in good times, wait til the world goes to chaos and then the virtue of being a strong man will become even more needed.
-
Well you're gonna wanna start with financial independence as that's the umbrella condition for the freedom that's gonna allow you to achieve all the rest. How's your money situation?
-
I would spend at least 10-100 hours researching it. I would avoid crypto if you're a low risk type of guy but I'd say the broader stock market is risky as well. At least put 10% in Bitcoin even if you're gonna go full S&P500/Index funds, it has too much potential upside in the near future to be avoided.

2 hours ago, Leo Gura said:Yes, I understand. Money, sex, fame, luxury is very alluring. It's how the Devil ensnares you, gets you to compromise on your higher values like truth, justice, morality, consciousness.
The answer is three-fold:
1) Authentic spirituality is just hard. There's a good reason why its so rare and revered. Placing truth above every other value requires super-human courage and discipline. This cannot be made easy. You are choosing the hard life rather than the fun life.
2) With Awakening/God-Realization, your connection to God can become so profound that it gives you more joy than any materialist rewards like sex, money, and luxury vacations. So it's about building a really deep, serious connection/consciousness of God that makes all the Devil's enticements pale in comparison. But this level of connection is really hard to reach, requiring lots of sacrifice and work.
3) You can burn through some of your desires by pursuing them. Go have some sex, go make some money, go take some luxury vacations just to realize that you will still be left unsatisfied. The allure of the Devil's rewards start to lose its appeal once you've had enough of them. Eventually you realize the Devil's rewards are fool's gold and you start to crave real gold, which only God can give. Eventually you start wanting God more than you want luxury vacations to Egypt or threesome sex.
How much threesome sex do you need to have before you realize that God is better?
Well... if you're Aubrey, probably never. So here we are
The more money, fame, and sex you have, the harder it will be to throw it all away for God.
I feel like number 3 is most powerful here. Seeking God is gonna give you a hard limit because well we come from God so most of the point of life is to experience duality and competition and the "basic desires."

@Emerald That's a good point. A lot of dating issues come from a lack of dating strategy vs being too low value. Meaning that if you socialize weekly and are open to connection it'll be a lot easier to meet a compatible partner vs being on internet forums and inevitably getting isolated and eventually jaded from the process.

@Joshe Can you explain how you use it and what value you find from the canvases? They’re cool in theory but I’ve built a few and I forget to check them for months so clearly they’re not that important for me.
