What Makes A Good Man?

144 posts in this topic

Someone who's not afraid to suffer mentally or physically to achieve whatever his goal is.

Someone compassionate to the suffering and level of development of other people/the world.

Someone who is willing to put his best interest out of the equation if it means everyone else is gaining something out of it.

Someone who does what it says, and does what he thinks is the right thing to do, regardless of other people's opinion and cultural standard.

Someone who is both fierce and kind at the same time, capable to say and do harsh things, even to friends, if that is what those friends need.

Someone who is first and foremost thinking about the well being of his family/company/country/the world, and not himself.

Someone who doesn't take life too seriously and can make fun of himself.

Someone who inspires hope and courage to other.

God is love

Whoever lives in love lives in God

And God in them

This is the long version of Krishnamurti talking about being a "good boy" or "girl"

In short, Krishnamurti puts emphasis on sensitivity being a major factor to become a good human being. People try to discard the senses, but he wanted his students to learn deeply, think deeply, watch, listen, feel.

The "good" person is not a "nice" person, and many may object to the use of the word "good" because of the moral connotations that we may put into it mistakenly. But if we are to investigate deeply, anything good cannot have an opposite, like evil, just like how beauty doesn't have it also.

Great video about a Japanese concept that explains masculinity. It’s the explanation I’ve heard that’s most in alignment with how I’ve experienced Divine Masculine both in and out of my Ayahuasca experiences.

A healthy male is somebody who is polarized to healthy female energy.

He is made in the image of God.

He is the medium between heaven and earth.

An animal capable of destruction but has tamed his inner animal.

Capable both in word and action.

Capable of sacrifice for love at the expense of short term gratification.

Core is loving God with all your heart/mind/soul.

That means you are in good physical shape, take care of your body.

That means you are in good mental shape, read books/articles, listen to audiobooks/watch lectures, have mentors. Go to a therapist and go to church

That means you have a good soul sharing your time/knowledge/money/actions/emotions.

Also don't be scared of improving your LMS, looks, money, status, MBS>LMS, but yeah ideally both

Good old fashioned virtue. Of course, applied to the modern age.

Fearlessness, humour, resilience, courage, and strength.

Some men are born with this, other men have to learn it.

Contemplate? This is elementary.

A man is good when he can fully accept what he calls evil. A man is good when he is fully committed to an early investment in his childhood in empowering himself, and then in adulthood committed to empowering everything he comes across to the best of his ability.

A man is good when he discovers that he is the embodiment of a blessing, not that he receives a blessing but that he himself is a blessing (discovering your talents and your flaws) and is committed to embodying the blessing that he is to the fullest.

This is equivalent to a man understanding what beauty is, what romance is, and the understanding that every part of the design of what he is....is mysterious, seductive, and that allure of beauty and romance is mystery, anticipation, the build up, and that the beauty of his own design mirrors perfectly the beauty of the design of life itself. Through this he can communicate this effortlessly and by extension is a vehicle for others to recontextualize their own situations.

A good man is a living inspiration, through his ability to express self-acceptance. Through his ability to honor the constructed divisions of those around him while being fully secure in his own unique construction as well. A good man is like a well of inspiration from which those around them can draw strength and belief and appreciation of themselves.

A good man is like the perfect motion picture, when you come across him you lost track of time. A good man/woman....is all of you...which is usually hidden inside your bedroom when you can finally let down your guard...and be "You."

You are a selfless LACK OF APPEARANCE, that CONSTRUCTS AN APPEARANCE. But that appearance can disappear and reappear and we call that change, we call it time, we call it space, we call it distance, we call distinctness, we call it other. But notice...this appearance, is a SELF. A SELF IS A CONSTRUCTION!!!

So if you want to know the TRUTH OF THE CONSTRUCTION. Just deconstruct the construction!!!! No point in playing these mind games!!! No point in creating needless complexity!!! The truth of what you are is a BLANK!!!! A selfless awareness....then that means there is NO OTHER, and everything you have ever perceived was JUST AN APPEARANCE, A MIRAGE, AN ILLUSION, IMAGINARY.

Everything that appears....appears out of a lack of appearance/void/no-thing, non-sense (can't be sensed because there is nothing to sense). That is what you are, and what arises...is made of that. So nonexistence, arises/creates existence. And thus everything is solved.

Groundedness. Being firmly grounded in reality and in yourself. Reposing in yourself, being authentic and clear in your mind and with others.

Bias aware. Self-Love. Life purpose

Willing to go through pain and suffering and not letting those stop you. Confort in disconfort.

Humour and laugh

Flow state

This was my little brainstorm to do my bit.

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty. We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes mature and Conscious. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life God is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, ... Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

I think a more important question is what makes a good man TODAY? Culture has definitely shifted even though most won't want to admit it. Young boys aren't gonna listen to anyone who doesn't understand or sympathize with the changing landscape . Notice that they would rather listen to Andrew Tate. I am convinced no man over 50 understands the problems facing boys/men today because it is simply a different time

I have so many goddamn notes From Wes Watson on Being a Man.

Bring a man Asserts his Reality on the World and takes responsibility to lift the heaviest load that he can handle to serve his people.

A man has the courage to create a vision for himself and go after it wholeheartedly and make it happen.

A man has the courage to point to something and hold his word to himself with his authentic desire to achieve that goal and keeps himself accountable every single day in every moment.

A man Embraces hardship because he knows that if he wanted to wish away the hardship, he would be also wishing away the strength. The universe will give you exactly what you need to create the strength for becoming who you came here to be to make the impact You Were Meant to make on the world.

There are so many scenes in the Witcher series which underline what I think true masculinity is. Both Geralt and actually Jaskier bring different aspects of masculinity in there.

This scenes shows what true strength is. "Having power but choosing not to use it unless it's absolutely necessary."

I like Jaskier for his strength in his vision and mind. Despite the lack of love and morality all around him his own intuition of what the world could and should be like is strong enough to not be destroyed. He even takes on life risks in pursuing that.
