In my experience, both are valuable. Humans are social by nature and we need quality interactions too.

No.  Raising consciousness is a solo activity.  Socializing gets you more into 'mainstream' think.

In the context of raising consciousness meditation is the short cut as it allows you gain more awareness and Mark them red flags. Meditation then helps creating gaps or distance with the reaction to subsequent occurrences of the red flag thoughts and sensation.

When it comes to socializing in context of consciousness I am reminded of this phrase by Jim Rohn, "You're The Average Of The Five People You Spend The Most Time With". What we can understand from this is the type of people you hang out with has an affect on your consciousness. If you socialize with people who are likes of Alan Watts or Leo or Sadhguru, you have a Possibility of raising your vibration but if you socialize with people who are into low conscious activity then it can go the other way.

Socializing is where the spiritual rubber hits the road.

How open can you allow yourself to be? How authentic? How vulnerable? How free are you in your interactions, how playful? Where and how do you judge yourself?

There is great value in observing yourself in social contexts. See how fear works into all this. Aim for furthering your understanding of yourself and reality.

See how well you express your deepest knowledge and being. See how you inhibit yourself through all kinds of internalized bullshit.

Without meditation I could not do this at all. So this is really no separate process. Whichever of these two you feel more drawn to you should focus on- or even better: whichever one of those two you resist stronger.

That is, if you can't find people who are more conscious than you. ;) In my experience, most people are more conscious than you in at least one area.

Agreed! So, so many fears are faced in the social arena.

Depends on who socialise with. But generally? No. I'd say 99% of socialising is surface level and low consciousness. Chimpery, to use someone's words...

All stories and explanations are false.

If you were to "socialize" with the Buddha, Jesus Christ, Ramana Maharshi, Milarepa, Krishna, Rumi, etc, then that would probably be better than any meditation you can do right now.

Socialization externalizes your attention towards others, while meditation internalizes your attention into yourself. Can't really compare both mate!

It highly depends on the quality of the consciousness of the people you're socializing with and the quality of your meditation.

But in general, meditation does a better job at raising one's consciousness than even socializing with a high-consciousness individual.

is this better than this, is that better than this! just an unconscious mind chattering!

there's no answer to your dichotomous question!

it's all about maintaining the balance, meditation and socialization are complete different from one another. meditation if over-practiced can have its own consequences too. so the moderation is the key!

I don't see why one should be better than the other! And I don't see why you need to consider them in two opposite directions!

Both can help each other in some ways!

@hamedsf oh really you are the living buddha right

did I claim such a thing? I just pointed out a dysfunctional part of ur mind which is eager to compare things in a dualistic way, yup, and the dysfunctionality of my mind could manifest in other ways!
