Best Psychedelic Trip Music Mega-Thread

120 posts in this topic

Let's start a list of the best music for listening to on psychedelics.

Obviously taste in music is very subjective, but try to post the best of the best here. This music should work well with psychedelics and tripping. Chill, moody, down-tempo, ambient, techno type stuff.

There's lots of obscure psychedelic & chillout music that can be found on SoundCloud.

@Leo Gura Nice stuff! I'm thinking this track by Aphex Twin:

It's the most beautiful ambient track I've ever heard and just transports me right out into space. It sounds like a pure love too, in musical form.

Don't be fooled by the mask this is the full album. The first song DEATHCAMP is not a song to trip to unless you like to suffer. The song for acid heads is called Find Your Wings ft. Kali Uchis. Heres the full album because theres more tracks that are perfect for tripping. 😎

This entire CD was made for psychedelics. Incredibly uplifting, super stimulating. Orgasmic listening.

Look up Shoegaze. Really dreamy type of genre. Listen to Sunny Day Real Estate song "Pillars". Also Lo-Fi hip hop is great.

One playlist that has been carefully developed through trial and error and has been found to work well with many different people over time is included at the end of this book. It includes a significant amount of classical music, symphonic and choral, as well as some Hindu chant, in the intense portions of the session and lighter selections near the return to everyday reality at the end of the day.

I enjoy the John Hopkins playlist

<3 The whole Selected Ambient Works Vol II is the ultimate trip album.

Had my first solid acid trip to that album ages ago. It's just magic.

Edit: I see Burial posted above too.. nice to see some great taste in here <3
