No need to speculate. People should at minimum have a gut instinct as to what's going on here. And people who fancy themselves serious thinkers and students of reality should know without a doubt what is going on here. 

A malignant, billionaire narcissist talking about how grand his ballroom will be, which will serve as a key piece of infrastructure in keeping his narcissistic supply filled, is always going to be more important than the death of even the humans closest to him. 

You can't project normal human tendencies onto Trump because he's not a normal human. Con artists of the highest degree don't give a fuck about people in any normal sense.
