I’ve seen the video and it’s brutal. It (the bullet) goes right into his neck and then he just slumps over.

There's a video of the man who supposedly shot Charlie circling around on X right now. He's being arrested on his knees while saying "I have the right to remain silent." He looks around 70 years old.

I may not agree with him on fundamental issues, but he’s a fellow American, a fellow human being with a wife and kid. The divide has become too much, and people on both political aisles seem to show little empathy in these times. The right will use this and the death of iryna for their own propaganda and agenda, and I’ve already seen those on the left’s echo chambers applauding this horrible thing that happened to Kirk. Enough is enough. People have to get out of their echo chambers, touch grass and come back to reality. And fuck big tech and their algorithms for accelerating this divide.

Well we've already decided that mass graves for school children are an acceptable price to pay for easy access to firearms, so Charlie Kirk should be proud that he gets to lay down his life so that gun owners aren't inconvenienced in any way.

In all seriousness, I have zero sympathy for the guy, but this is a really bad portent of where we are as a culture.

2020s America is looking more and more like 1850s. And if you know anything about American history, that's an incredibly dangerous parallel to be living through.

I kinda miss the days when we had boring bureaucrats running the show. I don’t think any administration had created such a divide in our country as trump’s second administration. The facists are a useful tool for the top 1% to control and divide the population. We get screwed over and deal with the social divide, while the top 1% enjoy their tax cuts

When tyranny and corruption hold power, political violence becomes the norm. This was expected.

There is a reasonable chance Trump will be shot within the next few years because people will be furious over his corruption.

Trump literally defends child rapists. You really think that won't have consequences?

Fascists don't need to do assassinations when they hold power and intend to keep it by any means.

When democracy ceases to work, violence becomes the only outlet. That is fascism in effect.
