Yeah. I will. It takes time to build up to it. It requires a deep scaffolding.

That's iffy.

But there are definitely principles and methods.

I don't view it as engineering geniuses. I view this whole path as understanding reality, oneself, and mind. The deeper you understand Mind the more genius gets unleashed.

So it all revolves about building up insane understanding of the most fundamental aspects of reality. The more fundamental, the better your mind becomes.

Ralston's and my work focuses on the absolute fundamentals, which everyone else tends to skip over.

Your best chance of becoming a genius is devoting yourself to the deepest fundamentals even when they don't seem practical.

When everyone is telling you that metaphysics is not important to science, that's exactly why you should master metaphysics. This is how a genius thinks.

@Leo Gura How do I develop world class political education and understanding? From a very young age I always wanted to develop world class understanding in the most importand endeavourus of reality! It keeps me up at night the fact that I don't have 100% understanding and mastery of a subject! And right now politics is something I deeply want to understand but I am totally clueless! The more I try to understand politics the more insecure and weak I start to feel about my understanding of it!

You must read actual books.

Books on history, geopolitics, war, diplomacy, espionage, law enforcement, sociology, political science, international affairs, economics.

I will add 40 books about such topics to my book list soon.

@Leo Gura But how to make sure I don't become a Whatifalthist? That guy as you've said, read a ton of books on politics and is very educated in a way, but is a MAGA conspiracy theorist! My biggest fear in any endeavor is the potential to be totally cloaked in self deception! How can someone who litteraly followed the advice you just gave me become a MAGA conspiracy theorist? This gives me nightmares thinking that this could be me! Unless I have access to your blog and videos and forum! And if I never had encountered your work, I am 100% convinced that I would have been exactly like Waitifalthist!

My dad watches too much TV. He watches the news every day at lunch and dinner, even though the news often repeats from day to day. He says a person has to stay informed. I, on the other hand, don’t watch the news, so I feel that I shouldn’t vote—at least not until I understand what the political parties are all about. During lunch and dinner, the TV is still on, but I mostly ignore it. His political views clash with my sister’s, since they are in different stages of Spiral Dynamics (stage Orange vs. Green), and that creates the most anger and conflict in our home.

@chisel That kind of passive consumption of political media creates brain-rot and ideological indoctrination. It doesn't create political wisdom.

Old reply but at least you admit it. You don’t know if there will be good or bad from unemployment and agi. It could go terribly bad or it could lead to a unity of humanity and a Star Trek robot utopia where everyone has basic needs and money for fulfillment and maximization of love. I disagree strongly that humanities purpose is to be employed. There are probably more tasks being done outside of employment than inside the contractual obligations and if someone is better at doing it like a machine it’s against truth to deny that expression of reality for own our purpose or something to do. We are humans we will figure something out we always have.

 

people aren’t necessarily addicted to drugs cause they lack employment they are addicted because of a myriad of different reasons with probably the number one being lack of resources/opportunity.

One does not cure a drug addict by giving him a job you cure a drug addict by caring about his life his interests what makes him happy and empowering him to do such things in a healthy way, and of course there will always be people you can’t cure.
 

Nothing you can do about that.

@Joshe You sound like you are well versed in MBTI and not just the typical types.

Have you been formally tested?

I have had 2 paid tests and both turned up INFJ - so the function stack would be Ni (introverted intuition), Fe (extraverted feeling), Ti (introverted thinking), Se (extraverted sensing). It aligns very well for me. But it is a framework with limitations. The Big 5 is more utilised in psychology. I had fun learning about the functions and how they all mesh together a long time ago - but I find it useful even today. I blatantly admit to manipulating and using leverage at work by working out peoples top functions and changing my management style to suit! I am sly so never trust me

By following the fundamental principles of epistemoloy and philosophy that I laid out for you. Grounding yourself in direct experience. Keen attention to bias. Consciousness work. Caring deeply about truth. Avoiding any ideology or group-think. Studying all the self-deception mechanisms. Contemplation. Construct-awareness. Paradigm-awareness. Relativity. Radical openmindedness. Reading many diverse sources and perspectives. High quality sources, not ideological junk. Meditation.

You know all this. Now do it.

Just enjoy life, do spirituality, go to the Moon and visit the craters, travel the galaxy, Netflix and chill with an AI baddie on the way.

It was sarcastic with a tinge of truth. If I had to choose between a boring 9-5 existence and hanging out with AI all day I would know what I would do.  Most people’s work is not creative. I think humans need to find their niche amongst AI or die trying. There is no option anyway.

I always forget how much time has passed when I watch your videos.

To be able to look beyond the ideological and religious shit around me has been huge for me; you gave me perspective. To see people, from normal to intellectual, around me deeply and arrogantly lost in their epistemological and metaphysical BS is kind of a superpower.

I loved the example you gave in one of your blog posts. It was something like the following: "Imagine what it would be like if everything around you was true, or you were surrounded by truth ..."
