Who knows? The illusion is illusion, ok. But why the illusion exist? If you realize that it's a conciousness in the inmutable no time, you're going to realize that you are an illusion and the colored reality with time and space is all illusion. But illusion exist! Maybe the base of the illusion is the nothingness, but the illusion is something. It's duality? Maybe...not all of us realized the non duality, I m not doubting about it but it seems that some accept it like a dogma. About free will....In the illusion level it seems that you, as illusion , have a wall of concept that keep you isolated of the self, and you could break it or not... why? Who knows that. In a level seems that reincarnation exist, and a path of different lifes exist. How? Why?

But in a broader sense, what are your thoughts on our role in the awakening process? Aspirants practice the paths of yoga to receive enlightenment, but is all of that misguided and unnecessary? Krishna approves the paths of karma yoga and raja yoga. I understand the nonduality of uitimate reality, but "we" are in a world of time and space. If it's all an illusion, why go through the motions of realizing enlightenment? Agree with killing the snake for protection, but many criminals are punished beyond the point of protecting society from them. Are these punishments unjust since the criminals weren't responsible for their crimes? Even following an egoic act, why apologize? If we can't control whether or not the ego is at the helm, aren't we guiltless?

This is one thing I don’t know is true because this is infinity we are talking about. 1 all things in the universe are your simultaneous lives past lives and future lives this works because time is one moment and doesn’t exist. 2. If reincarnation of an individual soul holds any weight in truth I feel like none of our past reincarnations have been anything like earth . Because it’s infinity

@Mu_ That's cool, for me also the times of depression are of great use in poetry and music and philosophy also. I am still functionally afraid of death as in if I was about to die id probably shit my pants, but I'd rather die than kill someone. I see death as a continuation of the metaphysical factors which gave birth to you to begin with, in other words death is simply the necessary step to reincarnation. So actually I am terrified of death, but only in so far as I have negative karma(action(s))

Reincarnation framed as Cosmic Bowling Arnold Keyserling made the case that basically the 12 potentials of the Zodiac are to be actualized and mastered in a series of lifetimes. After which, eternal existence is only then assured. Not surprisingly, very similar to Gurdjieff's notion that just because we're born, eternal life is not a guarantee. I like that Leo used a quote from Don Juan Matus in his last video regarding Controlled folly in relation to fulfilling one's life purpose. Arnold Keyserling used the same phrase here in describing his notion/theory about attaining immortality. Keyserling- "You must choose to use all twelve of the basic potentials, both in language and in life, when the opportunity is presented by life. Otherwise, they will remain latent. These potentials do not automatically grow. They require choice and intentional efforts. First, your language must become holistic and coherent. I don't know if there is a heaven after death but if there is it's still the SAME reality! It's one reality. Imagine growing old, getting sick and then dying. What a fricken horror, haha. Maybe one shouldn't joke about it, but death seems completely stupid to me. The same with reincarnation, idiocy! Surely, if it's all one and the same reality, then the smartest thing would be to improve our current physical reality. I suspect that the crystallized ego at the personal stage of development goes totally mad, because it clings fervently to its possessions in this life, both material and immaterial such as loved ones and so on. At the same time the ego believes that the body will die and all the possessions lost! So it must be in an insane kind of inner conflict all its life. Can physical reality change? If reality is all mind, then yes, and especially if reality is infinite intelligence then surely something as trivial as a physical human body can be improved greatly. I'm aiming for eternal life in this and other universes, not for some heaven, reincarnation or nonexistence as are the options at the personal stage. Well, there is also the transhuman option with nanotech and biotech to achieve immortality but that's too limited I suspect.

I mean you can look at models to predict the future but really it’s impossible, how many people accurately predicted the industrial revolution or smartphones or the internet, something equal or greater could happen, society totally moves at a slow rate (historically) but there is no telling how fast it could go, I agree with kenWilber if he says there is a tipping point like a singularity of consciousness. also I’ve listened to a lot of the great awakening theory and the people who talk about it certainly don’t mean the level of awakening you are talking about @Leo Gura. They simply mean spiritual awakening like what most people have from blue-yellow they don’t mean stages they mean temporary states and then there is the whole complicated thing with souls and reincarnation(which I certainly believe) but yea it is a story and maybe a great story but it can be problematic and you will sound like deepak chopra to a lot of people lol having said all this, knowing the nature of growth and especially collective consciousness, there is many problems with evolving too quickly and no perfect way to evolve it’s often bloody and crazy and unstable but ultimately none of us can tell at what time in the future we will progress to solid green yellow etc. I think sadhguru has don’t a great job of integrating turquoise values into society pretty easily and other youtube teacher such as yourself leo, the problem with improving consciousness rapidly is that it requires everything else to improve rapidly which isn’t the case yet, but I am very optimistic that solid green will happen in our lifetimes of you’re around my age (25h and live a long life maybe even a yellow country/society will emerge, it’s impossible to predict, but just from when I was born 1995-2020 seems like a quantum leap

This topic is not an easy one and I still don't have enough first hand experience besides some awakenings, god/oneness/all is a dream realizations and some contemplation I did, so I'll try to do my best. The "standard" way of describing solipsism is to say that all there is out there is you and that everything other is imaginated. People get confused by this phrase because they don't understand what is meant by "you". By saying "you" it's NOT meant: 1) a person 2) an identity 3) an ego but "you" as one single being (nondual being), so for everything there is, consciousness. And that's actually true. After having some awakenings and going deep into the spiritual studies you will discover that all there is out there is is both nothing (the emptyness) and something (consciousness). Simultaneously. This is then what is really meant by solipsism: the essence of oneness. "You", as such as your friends, your parents, animals and all people out there are simply imaginated. You don't materially exist. You perceive that you exist, but you cannot prove that you physically REALLY exist, because you cannot prove that your perceptions are true (saying: I perceive therefore I exist is an assumption and a dogma and proves absolutely nothing, because it's not based on any kind of proof) So "you" as a specific being (you, the one who is thinking he is reading my post) are not experiencing anything at all. What I still don't understand is what happen when you die. Leo says that everything (the entire universe) disappears and that noone will keep living here, proving then that there isn't any objective singular reality, but rather that's everything subjective. What I don't understand is: how can it be true, if there are/were many cases of reincarnation or people reborn in other bodies and have some remembering about their past lives (eg I saw long time ago that documentary of this child who discovered his old child body that was murdered, digged and never ever found)? Mahasamadhi means the end of self,soul identification forever. No more reincarnation no more others,it is a conscious choice and only desireless people can achieve it. So basically yeah,people should contemplate if they never want to have any kind of external world,experiences and others for the sake of just being in beingness forever. First of all I think you need to understand that Islam deals with spirituality in a different way, or we might say Islam has its own path to reach God. Ideas like reincarnation, I´m God, God is everything, Karma is inevitable … etc do not exist in Islam and you won’t find any resources related to these ideologies. If you see a Sufi talking about stuff that looks like these ideas make sure that the meaning is lost in the translation. Personally I think that your father does not need this kind of ideas and ideologies, what he needs to know is 1- he is a creature created by God 2- his actions will have consequences in the afterlife. This will take him a step further. There are a lot of resources in Arabic, but in order to choose one you need to understand your father more, for example what’s making him stuck? I believe that this universe and God always coexisted like sand and ocean water. I think that both God and universe are both infinite and eternal. Reincarnation

You are right, some guru isolate themselves on a mountain because they realize that there is no one ripe enough to understand their message. So by teaching them of spirituality the guru would just make them more miserable, giving them a false hope to achieve something which is unachieavable. This is rude and useless. Then there have been compromise lately when the guru knows that it will cause suffering to some people who can't achieve nirvana, but it's the price to pay to teach to those few who can benefit from its message. In this era of the internet, the message is being spread worldwide, sometimes in distorted form (for various reason which I'll not get in to now). Those who can benefit from it will do, others will still hear it and become unhappy knowing that they can't achieve in their present reincarnation. Others will not understand/believe the message and not become unhappy for they can't achieve it in this life. But they will achieve in their next lives so all is good in the end, we all gonna make it.

And what does that have to do with reincarnation? I asked you how do you know reincarnation is real.. You said you read about it in "spiritual material"..that's like a Christian saying hell is real because it is written in the Bible!
