Interesting sentiment. Seems a bit random though. Anyway, I did watch the first episode before - there was a disappointing lack of Florence Pugh, and when she was on screen she looked bloody frightful (pun intended), but it was great drama all the same, with some terrific performances. And the teaser for the rest of the season that they showed at the end reassures me that the delightful Ms Pugh is going to feature prominently, so I reckon I'll stick with it just for that.

I'm conflicted, I absolutely love Florence Pugh but I'm not so sure about all the human suffering.😂 I did start to read the novel many moons ago I think, couldn't finish it though.

The video below just came up on my Youtube feed and I think it deals with a really important subject in relation to spiritual awakening, so I figured I'd share it here. Spiritual awakening sounds like such a positive thing, and it ultimately is, but the road to full, abiding awakening tends to be incredibly challenging, and people can even start to feel like awakening was the worst thing that ever happened to them, so I think it's really important to understand the awakening process and to do the inner work that needs to be done. Yeah, that does seem like the most sensible thing to do. I checked before, a Switch 2 on its own would cost about £400 (around $535 in American dollars, $750 in Australian dollars ).

Definitely hard to justify buying a Switch 2 just to play a remake of a game you've already played, though I'd do it in a heartbeat if money was no object, tbf.😂I'm not even sure how much a Switch 2 costs, but I'm pretty sure it's an eye-watering amount.

I'd probably give it to 'Majora's Mask', though I haven't played the more recent Zelda games (and a whole bunch of other great games) tbf. It's funny because I started 'Majora's Mask' a few times and couldn't get into it, the whole three-day cycle mechanic just felt like an anxiety-inducing nightmare to me - now it's one of the things I love about it, plus being able to play as different characters with different abilities. As for this remake, I'm curious to see how it pans out - obviously the graphics will be much better, but the actual gameplay would have to be noticeably improved to justify shelling out for it again, imo. Though I did notice that you can change your boots in the water temple without having to keep pausing the game, so that's definitely a big improvement on the N64 original already.

Did look that way, and to be honest I couldn't entirely blame him because Spain are clearly a better team. I agree, it's just that it had become all about winning at all costs for me, and then when I started to see how unimportant winning actually was, my interest in it started to fall away pretty drastically.

I've found that my interest in sports has massively fallen away post-awakening for the most part, tbh - it just started to seem really silly to attach so much importance to putting a ball in a net or whatever, though I do still have some lingering emotional attachment to certain teams.

I gave it a swerve for the most part, because I was still deflated after the semi-final loss and figured the third-place play-off match was pretty meaningless anyway - then I saw the French were in serious danger of making an improbable comeback from 4-0 down and suddenly I found myself caring quite a lot about the outcome.😂 Insane game though - amazing what can happen when the pressure's off, if that had been the final it probably would have looked a lot like the awful spectacle we got yesterday.

Completely agree with that, I'm no great fan of Argentina with all their cynicism but I can't really warm to Spain either, with the way they play. They manage to be both very impressive and yet somehow also completely forgettable, imo.
