I know I said that was my last post, but I feel I need to set the record straight... because I checked in on this post today, and a lot of strawmanning is happening on this thread, which is the exact kind of thing that I dislike and precisely why I have decided to leave.

So, I want to be clear before I leave this behind for good. And I want to set a boundary where I leave this space behind for good because I don't like coming here... but I'm drawn here because it's a space for my anger to exist and be channeled intellectually. This is valuable to me... but it's also a waste of energy. So, I need to set a boundary to preserve my energy.

But these are the things I want to set straight, so that certain individuals stop getting away with strawmanning...

  1. It's fine to disagree with me. I am not leaving because I was disagreed with. I like to debate. I am leaving because people here frequently engage in dishonest arguments in order to avoid having to defend arguments that are weak and not well thought through. It's like playing a game against a cheater... and that's frustrating and no fun. And the individuals in question (Leo included) simply will not honestly defend their actual claims or even be transparent about their actual claims. There's just a lot of moving goalposts, unearned grandstanding, and strawmanning... and the people who are doing it aren't even responding to my actual arguments. They're just projecting that I'm saying, "there are no differences between men and women" or "women are stronger than (just as strong as) men", saying that I'm closed minded and ideological, and slapping down that straw man and treating it like a victory.

  2. Let me clarify my claim to put the straw man arguments to rest: I wasn't saying, "There are no difference between men and women". Obviously men and women have quite a few differences, in general. And I even said men are way faster and stronger... and women are quite a but more adept with social and emotional intelligence on average. So, there are definitely things that men generally do better than women and things that women generally do better than men. And I speak often on the Masculine and Feminine principle and recognize the value of embodying one's natural energetic signature... not just for dating purposes, but for the sense of wholeness. So, my claim is not, "There are no difference between men and women"... nor am I claiming that "women are better hunters than men"... nor am I claiming "There's no such thing as Masculinity and Femininity" (I have a bunch of videos on the topic of Masculinity and Femininity on my channel. The topic is genuinely a passion of mine.) And I am very glad to be a woman and to be a mother (I'm the only mom on this forum, I think). And I am a mostly Feminine person... and my specialization are more Feminine-principled specializations. And I do not wish to be like men. I prefer being a woman and being like a woman. And I am not "being like a man" just because I'm being who I am.

This is my claim:  In nomadic times, men and women both provided to the group... and both parented. Therefore, it doesn't make sense to frame men as the providers and women as the parents in such a hyper-polarized and binary way like pop culture depicts, as it just isn't accurate. Humans have always relied on specialization within a communal group... and surviving has always been a team effort and a group affair. This required every member of the group (including children and elders) to be highly competent in provision survival skills... or they simply would not have survived in the wilderness. This is why it being a common occurrence for women to hunt in pre-agrarian times isn't a particularly shocking discovery. And given that long-range endurance is a physical skill that women tend to be roughly equal to or even slightly better than men at, it makes sense that women would be good at endurance hunting. There's also archeological evidence and ethnographic evidence from contemporary forager societies that support this.
Also, the group provision dynamic that I mentioned is also reflected in family farms in agrarian times... even in the peak of patriarchal societal structures. And there's no time in history where non-wealthy women didn't have to contribute to the group and do a ton of labor to put food on the table.
One of the prevailing issues on this forum is that people are very anti-community (despite this being a community)... and so they may find it unappealing to imagine that early humans were so communal and worked so much as a team. They also seem not to like the reality of women in agrarian and pre-agrarian human groups... and might prefer the fantasy that the women of yesteryear were once only mothers and not workers/providers... like in the 1950s. But that's not traditional... that's modern.
This is my claim... not the strawmen that you guys are slapping around. If you want to criticize my claim and argue against it, go ahead. If I were still engaging on here, I'd be happy to debate back and forth about it. But don't argue against a claim that I'm not making... and don't just be like "You're just being closed minded" when I'm trying to get you to engage with my ACTUAL claim. My issue is actually that my claim was not being argued against... a straw man of my claim was argued against OR my claim wasn't engaged with at all. Just slapped down with empty grand-standing in order for the straw manners to hide the weakness of their arguments (mostly hiding those weaknesses in their arguments from themselves in order to maintain their own paradigms and ideologies around women, gender, and manhood.)

  3. A sizable number of people here are very attached to certain notions about women that are comforting for them but inaccurate... which frames "modern women" as some kind of aberration or mistake that's unnatural and against human nature. And this allows them to imagine a bygone era where women fit more to their ideal image of women in their minds... and the idea that "once this era of Stage Green brainwashing is over, women will go back to 'normal'."
These security blanket paradigms around women seem to provide a kind of collective male identity ego inflation (meaning: feeling superior in all the ways that matter to them, simply because they're male) in the face of feelings of powerlessness and vulnerability that men with self-esteem issues can often feel in relation to women and dating.
And while I empathize with the feelings of vulnerability and recognize that as the origin point of why my perspective cannot be honestly engaged with (and a high degree of cognitive dissonance and strawmanning to avoid engaging with it honestly), that makes it impossible to be seen as whole and complete person in this setting.
I am either framed as competent and therefore not really a woman (this happens all the time as a means of discounting what I have to say when my perspectives threaten comforting gender/sexuality/dating narratives as it pertains to women)... or women in general are framed as less of a woman (even less of a good mother) for being competent.
And that's why this setting is one that I must leave... and that repels women. Women cannot be whole in this space without being seen as an aberration or a product of ideological conditioning... or trauma. The reality is that many in this space prefer the fantasy of a mythologized past where women matched up to a caricature of hyper-Femininity in their minds, where women were only Feminine in the way they conceptualize of Femininity. And so, "modern women" get framed as being the result of a societal error... or ideological conditioning... when we're just humans operating as humans do and always have... just with different social circumstances surrounding us. That's why this is a space that repels the Feminine and repels women. It's not possible to be a whole Feminine human here. Only facets can show up and be seen in relation to the comforting narratives.
This may also be something to keep in mind for men who are having trouble interacting with women or making genuine connections with women. That which I'm doing very publicly on this post is what most women are doing to you silently without you knowing about it.

Now that I have clarified why I'm leaving, I hope you don't go back to the strawmanning... though, you may not be able to hear what I have to say.

A) So you admit you were coming from a place of anger and then are surprised you are met with anger in return?

B) this is a desire for control, which nobody has on the Internet and why it's so frustrating to talk to people on it. IRL we subconsciously rely more on social hierarchies to determine who is right.

C) this is how all people treat each other on the internet men regardless of gender. Women on this forum do every single one of the negative behaviors you described above.

Men on the forum wanted me to write this to you because they were too shy to do it.

"I apologize for being a complete close minded Moran.

I was blind, but now I can see.

Thank you for opening my eyes, Emerald.

God bless you, you beautiful soul.

Amen"

This one's from me:

Fare thee well, Emerald

Hey everyone. It's been great getting to know many of you, since I joined the forum 10+ years ago.

But this is my last post on the forum, as it's just not a place that has space for who I fundamentally am as a person... especially as a woman, as there's no space for Femininity or womanhood here.

I suppose that's why I've come here throughout these years... as there's something in me that wants to be an unstoppable force colliding with an immovable object. There's maybe some fantasy that if I'm just very high integrity with my arguments... and I am very rational and reasonable and nuanced and thorough in my perspective, that the immovable object will budge.

It's probably that it's the only space I have to play out some early childhood dynamic where I was being rational and reasonable but was being treated like I'm being irrational and unreasonable, which always infuriated me and confused me as to why I always had to be the adult in the room as a child.

So, I think I come here to play out this same dynamic.

And having so many non-receptive people with black and white worldviews and their egos tied up in being "high consciousness" is a great place to re-play that dynamic. They grand-stand as the adults in the room with their dishonest debate tactics... whilst I am just honest and throughout and thoughtful about my perspective and try to be as accurate and nuanced as I can be.

So, I just feel like this place is a waste of energy, and I need to leave that behind.

Have a great night!

I like this original statement.

Even laying bricks for an hourly wage is abnormal. Historically normal is raping and pillaging and making slaves do the labor. People have completely lost sense of how serious survival is. The two biggest concerns historically was starving and a horde of horny rapists with axes bumrushing your town. They would rip out your unborn fetus and wear it like a necklace (no joke).

It's understandable that women are scared of feeling subject to men considering how powerless they can feel. It's a catch 22. Modern life shelters you from that dynamic (thanks to men), so they don't have to feel that way as much.

I think that's fine. Women have more freedom to be butch bitches nowadays. It just gets stupid when people get ideological about gender and make up lore. Equalitism gets certain things wrong, so they necessarily will create bad results when those thing they are wrong about are applied.

Of course, no problem with women who wnat to be tough and become soldiers. But they have to be sure that this is who they are. Not doing it because of ideology.

Historically.. laying bricks and getting paid would be privilege

Laying bricks is a privilege ? I would say spending time with your kids is a privilege but that's just me.

Watch your need to respond with cute little trolling tweets and ask yourself “why do I need to do that “.

It is a privilege relative to being forced to risk your life and attack a fortress. Or defend your own.

Of course she’s going to keep interpreting all of this as trolling. But if you actually care, I think the point is that you take yourself and this place wayyy too seriously, when perhaps you should take both a little less seriously.

Your constant overuse of distinctions within distinctions comes across to me as an attempt to sound intelligent rather than to say anything particularly meaningful. I literally don’t understand what on earth is the issue here . I mean people are fucking starving somewhere . unless you’re writing a bachelor’s thesis on these topics, all this endless talk about “femininity and masculinity,” “men this, women that,” doesn’t seem to have much tangible relevance to everyday life. I don’t think most people genuinely care about these things unless they directly affect their lives in some way because they’re experiencing oppression, struggling with their sexual orientation, working as psychoanalysts, or dealing with similar issues.Otherwise, it just feels like endless intellectual mumbling for the sake of it.

My approach to this forum is like sitting in a cafe chit chatting and casually talking.
I don’t take anything seriously here, I just contemplate it.

I feel like the real work happens outside of this forum.
this forum is just a place to hang out and chill but also be respectful.
I don’t why some people feel like they have to shove others with the “truth” here. Chill dude😂

I don't know if I have lol.  I tend to think more in terms of Masculinity and Femininity in these contexts.
