It's very easy to drown in turbulent water, people don't realize how easy it is. There are undercurrents that will pull you in and you'll never get back to the surface. There's people who drowned every year on a lake in front of my house and the water looks so calm and peaceful. You really have to know what you're doing not to drown.

Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

His last vid -

His last word was “death,” and I don’t believe that was just a coincidence. It makes me think that he may have taken his own life and that it was not an accident.

This is a level headed take.

In recent videos it shows him messing around, jumping in the same lake and swimming for the camera.

He might've underestimated it this time.

There is a video of his home. looks like he was smearing shit on his walls or some brown substance and drawing with it. His flat tells you everything. He went mad. He jumped into a lake a drowned while out of his mind.

Not just the conversation, but news about him through the internet.

He definitely had mental illness. People with mental illness will often deny they have any disorder at all, because they live in a fantasyland of their own making. Connor rationalized away all the problems with his behavior. He used spirituality to rationalize it away. He was not taking practical survival seriously enough.

He was fucking around too much, and found out.

He was like the guy who realized God is Love, grizzly bears are God, so let's go give that grizzly bear a loving hug. This kind of foolish spirituality is very dangerous. He lacked practical common sense because of the manic episodes. But practical common sense is what keeps you alive. Most people are practical for good reason. That's what survival requires.

grizzly bears are love, but the bear didn't get that memo. reminds me of the monk who goes to pet the stray dog barking at him after meditating lol, then asks his master why he got bit. love does not mean tuning out reality.

His drowning may have been intentional. I could see him engulfing the water because he seemed to have some insatiable hunger or deep urge to not be vulnerable to reality. Almost like he saw reality as his enemy because it imposed upon him. "Reality telling me I can't do this? Death trying to impose itself on me? Humiliation trying to impose itself on me? I'll meet them head on." IDK.

This is definitely real. Bangkok Post is a trustworthy source and it’s starting to get picked up by other media now.

I’m not surprised either it ended this way for him. I felt a bit of shock and startled finding this out and this whole situation has people who are emotionally invested and connected to it.

I went through a similar breakdown after Aya too and it was around the time when Conor did, mine was in 2019 Conor’s was in early 2021 after I had made my recovery and when he was talking to Leo, so this situation parallels mine and I’ve been here since the beginning of it all.

I’ve never fully trusted Leo as a teacher since my life destabilizing trip and I believe that’s a good thing. You should not be so trusting of people who share info on psychedelics and teach things that carry significant risk and from my own ethical perspective I’ve sometimes felt that Leo has been slow to adjust and recognize his mistakes in what he has promoted and shared. I’m not the best with words but looking back I think Leo’s old teaching were somewhat flippant and lacked the foresight and maturity to see what releasing the information he did so openly would do to people being funneled to him by YouTube.

At the same time though I also see Leo has changed some since then and he isn’t responsible for Conor’s life. Conor fucked up here and he had a lot of time to get his shit together. I don’t think I fall into the category of someone with an axe to grind with Leo but I do feel a bit angry about this. I took psychedelics in 2019 because I saw many videos of Leo talking about retreats and was under the impression it was what I needed to do to get unstuck in life and fix my life and problems at that time and it really really left me fucked up for around a year after and completely upended my life.

It’s in the past now and my story ended differently, my life is going so well, I’m spoiled. This touches on something real for me though.

Did his apartment smell like shit?

Also, I'm waiting for that girlfriend interview. I thought he had like three new girlfriends a day.

I didn’t watch this video with audio. But look at it… it looks like shit splattered on the floor and walls. He trashed the place he was renting.

This has to be real:

“Our most valuable resource is not time, but rather it is consciousness itself. Consciousness is the basis for everything, and without it, there could be no time and no resource possible. It is only through consciousness and its cultivation that one’s passions, one’s focus, one’s curiosity, one’s time, and one’s capacity to love can be actualized and lived to the fullest.” - r0ckyreed

I mean I sort of agree but also not Leo has stated many times that his work is radical and his recent videos have disclaimers warning people to not watch if they have shaky mental health. It is pretty radical stuff if you accept the argument that you are God then all previous paradigms are quite mild in comparison and what @Joshe talks about is a mild reaction to it.

Our minds went to the same logical place if it was truly shit then it would be reported everywhere, it has to be some sort of paint or clay.

I've been in many lakes and never been swept up by any currents. What lake are you referring to where people drown every year? I've mostly only been in southern lakes, so maybe they're different elsewhere. It is true though that swimming in freshwater is more demanding than a relatively calm ocean. Takes a lot more work to stay afloat.
