May we all do better on this site. A man may have just been murdered for dialogue but we're worried about/fixated on, how some may now behave. We are focused on a potentiality, all the while what's taking place in reality?

Reports are he is alive but in critical condition.

Apparently shots to the necks actually do have high survival rates if you get medical care fast enough. So he may make it.

I’m pretty sure that when left-leaning governments are allowed to rule unchecked, they almost always slide into tyranny, clinging to power at all costs, censoring dissent, and restricting individual freedoms. Corruption ends up being the smallest problem.

Which is why I would not support a far left radical government. But there is no danger of that in American politics. America has no far left in office.

Maybe you disagree with this, but the whole spectrum has shifted left, so current left is rather far left. This is evident for example in universities in the last decade, where the only "allowed" ideas are progressive ideas and any right wing ideas are censored.

People feel like they have no alternative.

To think much of what's coming could have been prevented had Merrick Garland and Biden's Admin actually held Trump and the Jan 6 coconspirators accountable. There was a very brief window of time when most Americans were appalled by the events of Jan 6th and had a moment of clarity about who and what Trump was and represented. Now fascists are in power and we're petering towards a Yugoslavia type of situation very fast. This is what happens when justice isn't served. Pure chaos.

I just saw that he died. I am quite sad. I remember when he would just post up with a little stand and sign. I didn’t agree with a lot of the stuff he said or how he said it, but I appreciated that he would have discussions about things others weren’t.
