From an optics POV, it looks like this second podcast was not a success. He's still getting dragged in the comments.

I'm not sure why he decided to do this.

There doesn't appear to be any real new information in this podcast. It's mostly just Caitlin defending him and talking about their relationship, which people already understood.

Everyone knows his relationship with Caitlin is strong. She works for him.

I'm 80% through this nothingburger podcast & so far agree with this take.

I genuinely suspect he thought this little echo chamber was going to be some new revelatory perspective that would help shift the narrative.

It's almost like he's speaking to AI.

Deal with the issue now, on your terms, in your control. Or the issue will deal with you, in ways you won't appreciate, and cannot control.

Yeah not smart.

I think he would have been better off just moving on and keeping his affairs more private. Public figures need boundaries.

Instead, he just kicked the hornets nest.

Sounds like his whole company is a giant sex network. How much sex with each other can all these people have?

It's like if everyone on this forum was having sex with each other and calling it eros energy.

Here's something that might have worked better:

Reach out to different influencers who made response videos to the podcast. Bring on two and let them know they can ask any questions they want to Aubrey about the situation. No Marc Gafni or the backup squad to support him.

This might have at least shown his followers that he was taking the criticism seriously. And it could be a good opportunity for his community to see actual conflict resolution dialogue, not fancy new age podcast speak.

If no one is willing to come on the podcast, at least he made an effort.

I agree. It is the most strategic next move.

His ego is really in turmoil here. Trauma is the inability to resolve responsibility. We are watching his mind try to resolve this responsibility in real time. The brain is like this giant error-detecting machine (this is its survival mechanism), so when it cannot resolve/understand something like this it loops into this emotionally charged up state. You can see this also, he is being triggered to emotional outflow so easily. Fragile state. If he cannot fully understand the situation, he will walk away with trauma. And this combined with his ego will create a terrible friction of instability for some time.

This echo chamber move is a real attempt to self soothe because he is just NOT getting it and the emotions won't recede internally for him.

If he is able to correctly resolve responsibility and face truth, it will involve a large amount of ego dissolution. I just do not see this podcast as progress toward that outcome. His ego is essentially protecting him by blocking him from the truth.

@Leo Gura Would you say, there are legit ways to do polyamoury / consensual non-monogamy? Or would you dismiss the wole idea of non-monogamous relationships as a valid option?

I see it being done in varios stage green and stage yellow circles, by people that I have know personally. Many of them have decent experiences and even use this area of their life as an opportunity to work on their trauma and social conditioning.

Yes. Just stop making all these spiritual rationalizations for it, and stop proposing to people.

This is the way. Speaking from practice to echo the statement above.

You really have to have clear boundaries and excellent communication.

If you don't have the qualities of the above, it can work if each individual is quite empathic; you will naturally see when someone is not feeling right and open up channels for honest communication. But they have to be confident to call it 'Hey, you said this is okay. But your body/tone/expression runs counter to it'. This can be exhausting though, so good boundaries and honesty are better.

Spirituality doesn't have much to do with successful polyamoury. Maybe the crossover lies in the quality of openness being the commonality.

The ego is extremely sneaky in its ways of survival.

The ego uses polyamory as a way to broaden its search for the best partners, then once it finds the best one, it tries to ditch polyamory and go exclusive with the best it thinks it can find. But after a few years it gets bored or thinks it can find something even better. This is what's happening with Aubrey. He's jumping between poly and mono as it suits him. But then he rationalizes this egoic materialistic survival behavior as spiritual and divinely inspired.

That's what's so offensive about what Aubrey is doing. He's trying to get away with calling selfish, materialistic behavior highly spiritual. But truly spiritual people don't want to buy this BS he's selling.

To be truly spiritual is to transcend this materialistic chasing. But that doesn't fit Aubrey's philosophy that spirituality is supposed to be fun, exciting, and hip. He wants to be spiritual but also run around and have sex with whoever he happens to like that month. It's a sick, billionaire's idea of spirituality. It's like, how can I be spiritual but still keep my big luxury yacht full of servants and prostitutes?

This is why I can at least respect Zen Buddhism. They are serious about a spartan lifestyle. When rich & famous people get their hands on spirituality they want to marry it with their luxurious lifestyle -- which is bullshit. Real spirituality requires surrendering luxury and materialistic decadence, not rationalizing.

Running around having sex with random people is not spiritual. What's spiritual is surrendering that lifestyle to sit alone in a broom closet contemplating God. But you can't share that on Instagram. It's no fun.

This is a great example of the sophistication and craftiness of self-deception.

There is a deep connection because wealth is usually acquired and maintained through untruthful, corrupt, selfish, unconscious means. It's really hard to earn $100M through conscious honest hard work. That kind of money usually comes from corruption, and it also corrupts the people who hold that kind of money. That kind of money certainly affects your spirituality.

Spirituality is a battle against survival, corruption, and dishonesty. Rich people are in the habit of placing survival over truth. If you didn't place survival over truth, you would never get $100M.

How does one stop being jealous of such people?

It's hard for me, I'm incredibly jealous of spiral dynamics stage orange and red people. If I could pick between God and a million dollars, fuck I know it's stupid but I might  pick the million dollars.

like I question why I spend all this time pursuing God and my biggest fear is  it's because I just suck at capitalism.  Despite being a software engineer, starting a multi million dollar business is a whole other ballgame that I feel deficient in my ability to create if I wanted.

and Aubrey's physique, don't even get me started. I feel so inferior

Yes, I understand. Money, sex, fame, luxury is very alluring. It's how the Devil ensnares you, gets you to compromise on your higher values like truth, justice, morality, consciousness.

The answer is three-fold:

1) Authentic spirituality is just hard. There's a good reason why its so rare and revered. Placing truth above every other value requires super-human courage and discipline. This cannot be made easy. You are choosing the hard life rather than the fun life.

2) With Awakening/God-Realization, your connection to God can become so profound that it gives you more joy than any materialist rewards like sex, money, and luxury vacations. So it's about building a really deep, serious connection/consciousness of God that makes all the Devil's enticements pale in comparison. But this level of connection is really hard to reach, requiring lots of sacrifice and work.

3) You can burn through some of your desires by pursuing them. Go have some sex, go make some money, go take some luxury vacations just to realize that you will still be left unsatisfied. The allure of the Devil's rewards start to lose its appeal once you've had enough of them. Eventually you realize the Devil's rewards are fool's gold and you start to crave real gold, which only God can give. Eventually you start wanting God more than you want luxury vacations to Egypt or threesome sex.

How much threesome sex do you need to have before you realize that God is better?

Well... if you're Aubrey, probably never. So here we are :D

The more money, fame, and sex you have, the harder it will be to throw it all away for God.
