Alex Hormozi - the pinnacle of stage orange?

That's not an ontological truth, that's just common business practice.

You don't have to be a devil. You can work your way up through hard work. But it will be hard.

People who earn tens of millions quickly are usually doing some kind of exploit. It's hard to get that kind of money through pure hard work. Or they are selling something very low consciousness or unhealthy, like dick pills.

Most rich people are extremely good at finding exploits in society. Which is how they got so rich.

@Leo Gura did you fund actualized this way?

He appears really worn out in some of his videos, I’ve seen him look worse than me after my nightshift.

I don’t think it’s necessary for any of us to make even close to a million a year, It’s a huge trap for guys like him.

You can have a really good life, way better than someone earning 10x your income, if your job/business is good enough and the money you make is decent/good enough.

Does anyone need more than 150k a year salary? Your priorities must be really screwed if you do. You can even drive a sports-car on that salary.

Not to mention the years or routines and staleness you have to put yourself through for that kind of money (7+ figures)

Fair enough.

I watched a few of his videos before and his advice was solid. I just wonder what goes on behind the scenes in his business deals. The stuff he doesn't talk about.

It's real hard. I don't have a solution for you.

Remember, Orange exists for a reason. It is often necessary when starting out in biz.

Conscious biz/marketing is a luxury that must be earned.

I agree.

But its a shame people can make 7/8/9 figures more than any civilization let  alone human needs, and still choose the unconscious path…

@Lyubov essentially he made a fuck load (8 figures) and decided to leverage that and start creating content to get to 9/10 via P/E

“nothing to sell you” is kinda true but basically he gets the cream of the crop.

even when it comes to investing in companies - he’s set their philosophy to be heavy hustle culture, so knows it’s a bigger chance of success.

from a stage orange business stand point - it’s genius

from a life / spirituality / love embodiment - it’s far from it.

It’s hard for me to buy anything he says entirely. I’m sure he’s doing well but I don’t trust him or everything he says. Most people who have actually created a business that is not snake oil usually have more transparency to them, you can see the fruits of their labor. With his stuff, he yaps a lot, but I don’t see anything behind it. I’m not saying he’s an entire fraud or purely peddling BS but companies with actual liquidity and value appear much more transparent, you can see what they do, what they sell, what’s going on. Maybe his grift is scamming start up guys who have a trust fund or cash to blow on some business selling junk like drop shipping. There is an entire layer of the manosphere which earns its money just scamming each other and offering each other courses and mentorship. Maybe that’s how he earns his cash. He definitely isn’t some Wall Street insider or tapped into any real industry. He’s marketing on YouTube, that’s always a sign that his clients and income come from the same place more or less. People running legitimate businesses in various industries aren’t watching Alex videos, they are out in the field pioneering. Alex’s market and clientele is sort of a collective ponzi scheme where they rip off people trying to get rich quick or do some outsider thing like drop shipping. I think I heard Owen even mention him because they market to the same group of men. The product is the people they market to, nothing else.

@Lyubov It seems like you have already made up your mind about Hormozi without giving him a fair shot. That's ok. But it was apparent to me (especially from his books) that his work is really special. It's in another category compared to any kind of business advice I've heard up to this point. It doesn't really take faith by the way. You just see it yourself. When I read the Offers book, for the first time in my life I thought: "holy shit, I would absolutely buy an offer like this one!". No need to persuade me. The logic of his understanding and models persuaded me. I can see with my own eyes how what he says is genius.

Obviously, money is his religion so you may want to moderate his advice, especially if selling B2C. But as Leo said, conscious marketing is a luxury you have to earn.

What doesn't make sense is why he would be teaching marketing if he sold his business for tens of millions.

According to him, his youtube channel is a funnel for finding business to invest in. His main business is investing in other businesses - i think he has a portfolio of like 20 companies if i remember correctly.

He doesn't sell marketing courses

The way his model goes is this:

He helps starting businesses grow into 1m a year EBITDA - completely for free via his free stuff and socials.

After that, he has basically built massive trust, goodwill and finally, the businesses have proven to work and the founders are clearly hard workers who now handles the basics it takes to run a 1m a year biz. Basically indicating to Alex that it’s possibly worth investing in.

This is where Alex’s Acquisation.com comes in. He takes a percentage of the company he invests in and takes it to 10m+ with his skills, knowledge and network.

And there are tons of businesses interested in letting Alex take a percentage of cuz they trust him from all the free help.

@Eskilon A 5 meo dmt vape pen costs about $150.

You guys can read about people that worked with gym launch and had bad stuff to say here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Entrepreneur/comments/1jvr5z6/psa_alex_hormozi_is_selling_your_information/

Yeah but not all people who use it get enlightenment, it's not 100% guarantee. I'm talking 100% guarantee liberation.

You guys are projecting a lot onto Hormozi. Hes not being clearly understood here.

Been following him a long time. He's as high quality as orange gets. Hes passionate about teaching and doing business. He does it for its own sake. His life purpose is to make serious business knowledge accessible to everyone. He's also a philanthropist and he gives away all of his knowledge basically for free.

Consider that he's fully transparent and not "acting" in this video – period. Try not to project other toxic orange marketer traits and tendencies on him

You think Hormozi is gonna make his billion through hard work, or exploiting suckers like you?

His business model is simple: he gives advice that helps people grow their businesses to the $3–10 million range.

Once they reach that level, they’re comfortable with Alex and might even consider working with acquisition.com to scale.

If acquisition.com buys their business, Alex Hormozi knows exactly how to scale it from $3–10 million to $30–50 million. Alex helps the business scale because of specific knowhow.

That’s where he makes his money,  but the original business owners also make a fuck ton of money.

So honestly, I don’t really see where the exploitation is?

That sounds nice, assuming it actually works that way and something is not being left unspoken.

@Leo Gura To give you further insight: simplified, probably miss a lot more information.

  • He started in marketing within the fitness industry (coaching, client acquisition etc..)
  • He launched his own gym and found a way to grow it through marketing and hard work.
  • He launched Gym Launch, which is a licensing model for gym owners.
    • Gym owners take his model in hopes to produce more leads and customers
    • Gym Launch was successful, but I'm sure it wasn't all bells and whistles (some benefited, some failed). Possibly more failed than succeeded as which typically happens in such a hard industry.
    • He sold majority stake in Gym Launch and went into other ventures.
  • Of course, with GL, he was providing feedback on Youtube for gym owners, but wasn't as popular as it is today and the advice was great too.
    • This lead to giving business advice to business owners in other industries
  • Now, he leverages traffic from Youtube and other social media products and sell info products, educational platform (School.com) to teach business owners how to launch and acquire customers with solid advice.
    • Funnel small % of business owners who are qualified to Acquisition.com  / take percentage as mentioned above
    • Those who are not qualified but his fans will buy at least his books, watch his videos and sign up for Skool (founded by Sam Ovens - who sold courses and other info products with a promise of growing as a consultant.
    • Alex Hormozi and  Sam Ovens appears to now be partnered in Skool.com
    • Most likely will maximize his business-orientated platform to funnel people to sign up or sell on Skool.com

And yes, I'm sure a lot is going on in the background that's untold.
