I disagree with quote #412.

Ugliness doesn’t exist. Ignorance, war, greed, corruption, etc. isn’t ugly, it is Absolute Beauty. How can reality be Absolute Good if there’s ugliness? Ugliness is also Absolutely Good and Beautiful. But nothing is inherently ugly, it is always inherently Beauty and Good. Perfection, God, Good, and Beauty go together. Ugliness is finite perception. Beauty/Perfection is baked into Reality.

We all know at least one person who makes holding space for them extremely difficult due to how self absorbed they are.  These are ugly people- has nothing to do with aesthetics or morality, but our natural inclination to steer clear of entities who are unpleasant to be around.

God sees Absolute Beauty everywhere, even in a dog turd. If you can’t see war, ignorance, corruption as Absolute Perfection, then you are in Devil Consciousness not God Consciousness.

Yes.  It is not wrong to not want to be around abusive people, I agree.  I feel like I can tolerate unpleasant people to a degree though.  I don't want to be too judgmental in that way.

But are you in God Consciousness or in human consciousness? That's the point, otherwise you are spiritual bypassing. Moreover consider that maybe for God everything is Beautiful but there are graduation of beauty and hence God's work is evolving itself towards ever more Total Beauty.

Awakening into the nature of Perfection 

Absolute Perfection and Beauty is an asymptote towards ever more Perfection and Beauty. God is cracking it's way towards ever more beauty, perfection and Love.

So the awakening goes like this: Oh Reality is Absolutely perfect it can't be any better, it's really impossible!!!

Then it happens, it overflows into more perfection

Now you realize it's really REALLY ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! It can't be any better

Then again it breaks through to more Perfection 

So after an hour of crying and rambling in pure ecstasy on the floor you get the point or physically die.

Moreover, you realize this is the most brilliant design for Reality itself. A neverending ever increasing Acceleration Singularity of Infinite Love and Perfection. 

That's what my current Awakenings point me to.

You are correct. As long as I am human, I will never be in full God Consciousness. The most Awakened being can never be fully God while they are human. Full God is Death. So I wouldn’t say I’m bypassing. I’m acknowledging my human biases, as well as Ultimate Existence. I’m just saying that from the perspective of God, there is no ugly. To the Devil (which is me), there is. Just because I am conscious of God right now doesn’t mean I inhabit that state 24/7. I would claim that no human can. Anyone that says they are in full God Consciousness 24/7 is kidding themselves. Ask them how conscious they are of God when they are sick, dying of cancer, watching genocide or scrolling on social media.

Doesn't what is beautiful hinge on some kind of finite picture of values or perspective?  Otherwise, it would seem that Beauty would be immune to judgment, but nobody ever takes this position consistently too.  Beauty (and aesthetics more generally) is puzzling for this reason.  Good conversation.

This Jonathan Blow video hit me. These days I was getting myself in the same situation he describes. Of course I can enjoy my good thinks, food,music, the nature, beach etc.. in my life, but I looks like very good creative stuff is more and more rare. And I know is my duty to create this goodness if I feel it lacks in the world. But still very less things feel worth.

@Leo Gura AI video was very insightful, thanks for sharing.

I liked the part when AI outputted "aha" token to indicate having an an actual aha moment, but in reality nothing new was added to the context except for that literal one token. It's so deceptive. It's crazy.

These people who make AI tools on top of LLM's make it harder to notice that illusion of reason. One example, when you prompt something, some models show "Thinking..." label, instead of something like a generic "Loading". It tries to sell you the idea that LLM's do reason, but as they guy was saying, they rationalize instead of reason.

LLM's are really helpful in many ways, we just have to not bullshit ourselves on what they really are and do. But since the topic is too technical to dive into deeply the maths of it, it stays unnoticed.

ChatGPT is epistemically irresponsible 

I wonder if we'll see some entirely new AI based on a different technology. It's apparent that probabilistic search system won't do it. And this tech-bros make it seem like AGI is around the corner, when in reality the current technology just isn't in the same ballpark as it seems.

He mentioned Emily Bender, and I found some of her videos YT interesting. Also there is this book that I'll check later:

I agree that lotus is not good. Sitting cross legged doesn’t mean lotus or even half lotus. Your legs shouldn’t be on top of each other.

I agree. Sitting on a chair is not natural and can even be harmful in the long run.

If someone can’t sit cross-legged or in natural positions, this is a sign that they need to work more on their flexibility and practice more asanas. This can also protect the body from injuries, especially as we get older.

I don’t know if it is mentioned in the Kriya Yoga book Leo has on his reading list. I have another Kriya book which is more comprehensive in my opinion, and it emphasizes the importance of doing yoga asanas prior to meditation because it prepares the mind and body by making it easier to enter a meditative state, unlike directly entering a meditative state without any asanas. Doing so is like running without warm-ups. This only shows how the mind and body are connected and how ignoring this connection negatively affects the meditation practice.
