The human ego is also a belief. I was talking about the eternal Self. The ego' story is that death is final and this is just a ride into nothingness. Have you ever experienced death to know that you won't come back to life in another form? We forget many things in this life, so the reincarnation theory seems plausible to me. Yes, it is one of the explanations and you can call it a belief but it is better than "death is the end".

There was a new Your Mate Tom with a crackpot guy talking about God and Jesus and whatnot, they made multiple digs are Leo, which came off as very childish and irrational. Why can't these people see the truth of non-duality It's right in front of them but they continue to be completely wrapped in their thoughts. They also claim to not be new-agey but they're talking about Astral Realms, Reincarnation and Spirit Realms. These childish beliefs make me disheartened at the path so many people are going down.

Might of took that comment in the opposite way it was intended, and so it seems like a contradiction. There would not be a ‘why’ prior to a ‘reincarnation’. ‘Why’ is a thought. If & when you do contemplate reincarnation, leave electro beam out of it. Electro beam thinks why electro beam & somebody else. (No offense ) If meditation is the answer...meditation is the answer. Meditation is the self which makes up all kinds of dualistic stories apparently, but there are none in meditation, or we could say they are all in meditation, as the infinite potential of any possible story. The ‘bullshit’ could not possibly be more crystal clear. It is the only ‘thing’ which is clear in the place. Contextualize the shit outta it, if you like. Which you don’t like. Which is precisely it’s clarity. How won’t come from the thinking, nor ‘other people concepts’ (which is your concept - if it is) but from the source of “thinking”. Splitting your consciousness: You can split your consciousness in LDs and APs (and probably STs as well), thus be able to inhabit many independent bodies having independent experiences at once. Usually when someone has an OBE it is during the day or when you are in REM sleep. So you usually have alpha or theta brain waves. It is generally believed that you can't have OBEs during SWS (Slow Wave Sleep / deep sleep, when you have delta brain waves, 0.5-4hz). I'm not 100% sure yet but I believe OBEs are also possible during SWS, here are my reasons: I have heard several people say/write that it is possible and that they have done it Tibetan monks are able to stay aware during the whole night, including SWS. They (including the Dalai Lama) are aware of Awareness, thus a nondual state. So if they can be aware of Awareness then it should also be able to project onto a plane with a body. Soul Travles (STs) are said to happen when your brainwaves are in 0-0.5hz, that is even lower than what happens during deep sleep. So it's not only that it seems that OBEs are possible during low brainwaves, but that certain OBEs, STs are only possible with very low brainwaves. That means you should be able to project the whole night, 8 hours each day, that makes 29 200 hours after 10 years. 99.999% of people waste that time. Extra Time: If we combine the last 3 points: Splitting consciousness + time dilation + OBEs during the whole night we get an incredible amount of time which can be used for all sorts of things. Soul Travel: I don't know much about it but it is said to be far more epic than astral travel You can explore our actual physical universe and the past. This for example allows you to check in your direct experience which conspiracy theories are true and which are false. But you would need to be extremely careful, because it is very easy to see something which is not actually there but created or distorted by you. So you would need to be very advanced and do a lot of cross referencing of what other advanced OBEers report. Future. You can view probable future scenarios of earth. And you can see how different timelines of your life would develop depending on what choices you make. So for example you can preview the most likely scenario of what will happen in a week or in 10 years if you now choose job A versus job B. Explore paralell Realities Explore all of Creation. You are God so you should be able to explore all of Creation, be it past present or future. Escape the Matrix: All advanced OBEers I studied say similiar things about that topic. Their investigations made them come to the conclusion that we live in a kinda simulation, a matrix. The Matrix includes many astral planes, so after death, you are still within the Matrix. First you go through a tunnel and a white light, then you meet deceased people and some Guides, then after a while you get an amnesia shot and then are sent back to earth. That's the reincarnation cycle. Aliens created the matrix so that souls can have a certain experience, like being human. (There are obviously many many more Matrixes). All advanved OBE practioners I looked into (John Kreiter, Don Juan, Carlos Castenada, David McCready, Jonathan Dilas, Marco Lorenz,...) agree that this is the case, even scientists and people like Elon Musk believe we live in a simulation. Now, the matrix was actually a good thing because it allows souls to have a particular experience, but many researchers believe (including the OBEers John Kreiter, Don Juan, Carlos Castenada and Jonathan Dilas) that it was hijacked by malevolent aliens a couple of thousand years ago. If you know what they have planned for the upcoming years, it might be worth considering to leave the matrix. There are several possibilites: Don't fall for the Light Trap. Instead of going into the light after death, you search for a hole (which looks black) in the artifically set up grid and escape through it. OBEing allows you to verify for yourself whether this is true and it will probably be easier to escape if you are an OBEer, but it is definitely not necessary You create a double body while still alive and make it more and more solid (through having OBEs with it) till you can transfer your whole consciousness to it and then just leave your physical body behind for good and then try to escape the Matrix. It is believed that the soul will continue experiencing, it will upgrade to a different plane. The question is whether this plane is within or outside the matrix. Acashic Records. You will have access to the acashic records, thus to all knowledge become enlightened. Tibetan monks use dream yoga (LDs) to become enlightened Inhabit and control another real body. You can temporarily go inside someone else's body and live in it, as if it were your own. This is definitely possible. This usually happens in form of an agreement. 2 beings temporarily exchange their bodies so that they can explore the world of the other being. For example if an alien from another universe wants to explore earth, it can astral project to earth, but it can do more things with a physical body than with an astral body. If it happens involuntarily then this could be considered demonic possesion (if someone is demonically possessed they usually still have some control though) Download skills. Leo said that when you are super conscious, you would be able to just download skills. I believe you don't even need to be super conscious, it's enough to be an advanced OBEer. sorry if im annoying you. im coming from buddhist culture. here most of us believing in reincarnation, and sansara ( Saṃsāra "Sanskrit, Pali; also samsara", in Buddhism is the beginningless cycle of repeated birth, mundane existence and dying again. Samsara is considered to be dukkha, unsatisfactory and painful, perpetuated by desire and avidya (ignorance), and the resulting karma.) what is your opinion about this?

Nobody knows what happens after death. A student asks a Zen master: “Don’t you know if there’s life after death? Aren’t you a Zen master?” The Zen master replies: “Sure, but I’m not a dead Zen master!” The human form and personality dissolves at death. Indian religions believe in reincarnation, but that is speculation. Pema Chodron thinks there is a karmic imprint of the person at death, but that too is speculation. I like Advaita because it's a simple teaching that doesn't require extra beliefs, such as in Buddhism they believe in reincarnation. However when it comes to the concept of time Advaita is too dismissive in my opinion. Therefore I have come up with my own model which includes time. I have put the model together from different sources including Leo's explanation of reality as difference, an idea that originally may have come from Peter Ralston who described all of reality as distinction. My model briefly is: Reality is difference. The difference manifests as Indra's net expanding forever at an accelerating rate (which is possible to mathematically define). Indra's net in its complete infinite form is the unmanifested reality and can be illustrated by the unit circle which has the radius of 1. Our multiverse is a point on that circle and that point can be represented by a single real number. Consciousness is that number observing the finite manifestation of itself within the expansion of Indra's net which produces the experience of time. My model might be more complicated than Advaita but to me it explains more. And precise predictions can be made. For example our manifested reality is always finite. It's only the unmanifested reality, the complete unit circle, that is infinite. Think of it as resolution of a screen getting higher and higher making the unit circle drawn on the screen consisting of more and more pixels. The unmanifested circle has an infinite number of pixels (points)! Try to produce a computer screen with infinite resolution.

What about to eat vegetables? You need first deforest the earth, destroy a lot of animal wild life, transport the food, etc. The best solution to avoid that would be a collective suicide. In other hand, a chicken in a good ecological farm have a good life. Better than most of the humans. Eat, sleep, stay with anothers chickens, no worries. One day he dies...what to do? Not bad for a reincarnation. I don't think that reincarnation exist but who knows. What are you? First question. For me the best answer is that you are a shape in the nothingness, you are a perfect, wonderful shape , incredibly perfect, a miracle, but no more. Your substance is the infinite nothingness, the same for you, for me, for the shit that I did a while ago, or that formed a stone. A infinite empty hole that it's everything, vibrating in a miraculous simphony...so, when your shape ends, who is going to reincarnate, if already now there is no one, there is only another shape , another wave with a frequency, when the wave gets consumed, only the substance where the wave vibrates remains, and the substance is everything, so what reincarnation?

Look, even though the world is a mess right now, the world changes. What makes you think you will only be a human form for all for eternity anyways? Reincarnation is real in an infinite universe, no one has proven you are stuck in a human form forever. You have an energetic and a formless awareness essence. Both of these transcend form... The human form, although beautiful is not a limit on the self which is always expanding and creating new experiences. Imagine a heaven Earth, synthetic meat no more animal killing, cured diseases,space exploration... The possibilities. This reality really teaches us only to focus on the negative, they bombard us on tv and everywhere in politics,so people become affected.Also life has twists and turns, but really it's self created misery. Humans make other humans miserable from egoic actions. Humanity did this to itself and the planet. Only humanity can repair the mess..

Leaving the reincarnation cycle? ) What happens when you aren't in the body? I'm still confused. There is no ego outside the body, Isn't it gone? Please elaborate @Proserpina ?

I'd prefer to leave my incarnation a mystery. A conclusion drawn like that seems like a shot to the foot. Already got one ? I don't think reincarnation is a literal term, it's a perspective view that is subject to change. I doubt that measuring another's power level can be anything of value unless you want to get something out of it. The discrepancy drawn between souls is a product of your current level of incarnation which is not inherited by any other soul, even if you agree with another. Older spirits would be generally happy to experience life in mundanity yet somehow subtly raise an aura of love that is based on integrity and awareness. Planning to do work after death seems like an excellent way to put work aside, I'd wanna tad more pressure

@Moksha I'm not referring to some religious sources claiming about reincarnation. I have referred to the research papers from Virginia university as well as documentary videos of scientists who are researching it. On the other link: I have posted some links of the CIA's research into paranormal activity like Remote viewing, ESP and other such phenomena. Who in their reports have concluded that such research is valid and yielding some positive results. Not all phenomena can be easily replicated. You cannot replicate reincarnation. You can only study it. But, studying many iterations of the same phenomena, you can atleast deduce something about it. In my own case, I used to think that kundalini awakening is fake and people who exhibit it are faking it. But, one day, I have directly experienced the awakening of kundalini within myself and started to have intense kriyas that follow it. Although the energy didn't enter into the central channel, nevertheless the experience itself was like a nuclear explosion within the system with way too much heat all over the body. Also, during that time for a few moments, any person that came to my mind during those few moments I was only having love for them. I could not hate them even if I wanted to. Anyway. I guess, as they say: You can only peel the skin of the fruit and give it to somebody or may even put it in their mouth. But, it is they themselves who has to chew and swallow it. I hope you get to have some experience where it will become quite obvious to you what the true nature of reality is. Good luck for your journey on this path. May the force be with you...

@Moksha I thought everyone got the memo, objectivity is an illusion, doesn't exist. Only subjectivity. Noone ever experienced something objective, only subjective. Standard in an... objective universe? The one that nobody can ever experience. Everything that exists is Consciousness, which is no thing From the point of view of your belief in an objective, real universe and reality, this makes sense. In my subjective () perspective, since all that exists is Consciousness, and all that exists is YOU, any supernatural phenomena must by definition also be YOU. So how supernatural can YOU be? Perceiving so-called supernatural phenomena only depends on the level of consciousness, if you're not aware that what you're perceiving is YOU, you might be convinced (maybe even by direct experience) of angels, ghosts, reincarnation etc. But these are just stories you (lower case 'you', the one that believes it's limited and separate) makes up about what you perceive, according to Consciousness level.

Dear @Moksha , Isn't it a biased thinking too to think that "any evidence that anybody provides is a biased evidence". I know you don't think that way. But, that is exactly what you are doing even without knowing you are doing it. Instead of researching through the sources provided, if you keep on arguing about it, how are you going to get a new understanding? Take one topic, say Reincarnation, keep watching every documentary video you can find on youtube about it. Also go through the research papers and sources I have referred to. Don't skip or rush it. Research on it properly without any preconceived notions on it. Come back after you have done this rigorously for a week atleast and we can see whether you can confidently tell me that you still believe there is no phenomenon that happens after death.

Thats ok, right now your mindset is resisting it because you haven't found the proper evidences. For the time being gain as much knowledge as possible. The Point is that the senses themselves are just that: SENSES(Experiences of varied Types). They are not physical in nature. But, they correspond to physical reality through physical body and brain firings. But, even without the body, the individuality and sensory experiences continue. Only when complete liberation happens, then individuality dissolves into infinite Brahman(Infinite Consciousness / Oneness). That is why I previously explained it in terms of dream reality where dream brain seems to control dream character. But, in truth both are non-existent and Imaginary. What we call as senses like visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, taste are just different configurations of infinite consciousness into those forms called senses. Consciousness does not have a restriction as to how many different types of senses it can configure itself into. Humans only have those five. During NN-DMT experiences, or even during meditation, people experience certain types of experiences which are not at all in the realm of our ordinary five senses. During such occasions new type of sensory realities are experienced which cannot be explained or perceived or understood through the ordinary five senses that we have; just like a blind person from birth who never seen colors can never be made to understand the reality of colors / visual perception. Thank you for sharing the link. If you read through it, the first four sheaths are all tied to the physical body since they require the five sense organs to be active. Only the final sheath, Anandamaya, doesn't reference the senses. But this is only one of many perspectives on ultimate reality. I resonate with eastern philosophy, but I recognize it as such. There is no objective evidence for its claims. For example, I see no reliable evidence for reincarnation.

Are you saying that you have a fixed form but the ultimate reality is formless? How can be form and formless two separate things? Well, I'm not sure if it refers to the human avatar or something else, I never have been interested in the reincarnation idea... but apparently, death is not the end, so maybe you just forget that you had a past life. The temporal life makes no sense if reality is infinite... infinity would include your human avatar as well, I guess.

Have you read the "Journey of Souls" books and if you have do you have an opinion on life between lives and reincarnation in general? In my opinion they are the book on reincarnation that most resonated with me. How do animals fit into the picture? Do they have souls? It would seem they can't really achieve enlightenment because they lack egos, only having basic instincts. What about alien civilizations? Multiple dimensions? In theory if another species achieve sentience say Dolphins they would be facing many of these same existential questions? Or alien civilizations? If true enlightenment is nothingness, why pursue it?
