Context: Free Will vs Determinism - Does Free Will Exist? My quick and short take/interpretation about the video above to get to the question: We are the output of 37 trillions of cells that together make extremely complex decisions. Ok, so Leo (as in the videos): what is the "I", the "self", in this system(brain+body) that reincarnates? PS: I'm considering that usually the teachings in Leo's videos go along with Buddhism, Karma, enlightenment, and other subjects like this. I imagine I can make the assumption that reincarnation is part of the equation, even that I never saw a video from Leo specifically about the subject. Thank you for reading, appreciate any good ideas, links or comments to help me with this inquiring.

You choose to assume there is a God because you assume the religions are fully right. I ask, Have you heard about LEO? The latest God in town. Leo controls every frickin thing in the universe. Leo is omnipotent, omniscient, omniwhatever. Leo makes every man and woman wet. Leo is all powerful, pervading, origin of the universe, killer of the evil, upholder of the virtues, master of humans, freedom bringer, the prophet, a spiritual missile penetrating everybody's heart, the great sacrifice. the reincarnation, the caliph, the light bringer, the king of kings...................... but do you know what Leo actually is? All the things above are words. You don't know what Leo actually is.

Buddha admitted the existence of higher dimensional beings but he said they are not worthy of worship as they too are entangled to samsara and reincarnation. Brahma has form. He has three heads . Its brahman who is formless . By definition God is Infinity and is everything. Nothing exist except god. So god is universe/multiverse , birds, mountain, stones, walls, trees, curtains etc So why we limit him in finite form when he is formless and infinite.

If one is dead and knows it, then no one is dead. If one is dead and doesn’t know it, then no one is dead. If you mean after death of the body? This assumes time is real. It isn’t. In the dream of time in a very concession oriented way you could say there’s apparent reincarnation, but not separate from this — even that’s not strictly true though. This is already everything — separation of any kind is an illusion. One thing is for sure: you have nothing to worry about. The purpose of everything is literally what you are.

Why not make for a living with high quality content, like Leo? To bring into this confused world even more confusion is not good for karma. She won´t have it as good as me in one of her reincarnation in 100 years.

So let´s draw conclusion of what I´ve learned. Not exactly learned, I might have known it already intuitively but I wanted to hear it from a man. And now I did. For men there are 2 cathegories of women: 1. Women making impression of being IN control of their feelings 2. Women making impression of being OUT of control of their feelings To a group No. 1 they want to build a perfect relationship. This one: "It is commitment. Dedication. Loyalty. Sacrifice. It is a sacred partnership." (Ridiculous.. but Hulia, please stay matter-of-factly, we are exploring) To a group No. 2 they want fuck and talk. If you think of some popular movies, like "Lucifer" for example or "Helen and the boys", these are always the most rigid and biased women who get the best men. (And of course always blonde) By the way, now I understand why the guys of this forum post the anti-male videos of Till Swan. She is a perfect dream-woman for a perfect dream-relationship. She knows everything about relationships. What can go wrong? These are the things like they are and there is nothing to do about it. It´s like a virus hitting all men, even the smartes ones. In one of my reincarnation maybe in 100 years the mindset will change. And my strong wish presently will be the reason of this change. I´ll get what I want but it takes longer.

Why do Buddhists say there can be freedom from the cycle of birth and death? It is freedom from the carrousel of thoughts, which no one ever exits. It is a reference to thought activity, not a reincarnation of separate selves. The ‘wheel’: Subject object thoughts. Self referential thoughts.

Yup, as the mystics before me pointed out: "Death is 'a stripping away' of 'all' that is 'not-you'. The secret of life is 'to die before you die' and realize there is no death". I already knew that before my last DMT trip -- and not 'knew' as 'in belief', but as in: I have directly died many times already, i.e. transitioned from 'selfish states of consciousness' to states of 'Eternal Love, Empty Consciousness, God, Infinite Imagination, Absolute Goodness, Pure Being.' There is no death for 'that which you truly are' (God, Consciousness, Love, The Now, Soul, Infinity, Eternity, w/e you wanna call The Self-Less Self), since it is already simultaneously both dead and alive; or even more accurate: it is neither of them, it simple is what is: THIS: *plays a note on the piano*, and we won't give it a name. The thing is, nothing we can say with words about 'Absolute Truth' ... 'is it.' Everytime we say a sentence, we are limiting Infinity to something finite our ego can grasp onto. So even saying 'death is imaginary, you are eternal' is a limitation. Everything is. Yet everything is also IT. 'Death is imaginary' is a fantastic pointer to towards Truth, though. Life is also imaginary. My life as Thomas, your life as Leo, is also imaginary. The essence of 'every experience' is that it is part of the Infinity of Imagination. Absolutely EVERYTHING is imaginary, which means that EVERYTHING is also real. The only 'thing' -- we could say -- that is 'not imaginary' is Infinity (God, Consciousness, Love), but again: all language is limiting. What I'm saying hardly makes any sense to those who have close to no experience with ego-death. To be able to communicate pointers of truth clearly and accurately even to those who are deeply asleep is an art form: a task of immense complexity. The Essence of Reality (Infinity) is so infinitely meaningless, that whatever is then 'imagined' must - per definition - be infinitely meaningful. From the perspective of me as a human being who "needs to": breathe, eat, love, have sex, sleep, pee, shit, drink water, feel that life is meaningful... - death is *not* imaginary. (Absolutely speaking it is, but follow me here, please). I can die any time. I could have stopped breathing during my DMT trip. I can get killed by a car on the road in 30 minutes. I will die. Waveintheocean/Thomas will die eventually. That is as true as Truth can get with words. Leo will die. Not ego-death -- not some kind of 'imaginary' 5-MeO-DMT-trip-ego-death -- but as in real physical death. Yet, what I *really am* can of course not die, cos it wasn't even born to begin with, I am Infinite & Eternal, as you say, sure, I know that, that's not at all what I'm talking about here. I'm talking about real physical death. Just forget all the fancy spiritual talk, I'm talking totally down to earth: I will die. That's as certain as the Sun will rise tomorrow. I will die. You will die. This is simply a fact we can ALL agree on. You can run away from 'yourself/truth/death' all life, but you will still die. Now, what is physical death, then? It's imaginary of course. But my whole life, your whole life, *IS* already *imaginary*... Death isn't different in that way. It's Infinite Imagination. And there is infinite meaning behind your life and behind your eventual physical death. What I got a taste of during my DMT-trip was just what awaited me after my imaginary physical death. It was bliss beyond all human imaginations of what bliss is. I can try to describe it, but words fail. ... Life, as in down to earth life here on Earth, is mystical, enigmatic and ineffable...just like death. But it's also rather obvious that it is filled with so so so much suffering. One thing is the suffering in my own 'egoic limited selfish life' 'as Thomas'... - Hah, that's only one drop in the ocean of the bottomless suffering human beings 'have and are and will' endur-ed/-ing/-e....... Life is painful as fuck. We can transcend our own suffering, and thus help others transcend theirs, yet it's still filled with suffering. You and I, Leo, are lucky, lucky souls who can smoke DMT in their apartment in a relatively safe country like USA/Denmark. But let's look around on the globe shall we: it's beyond belief, it's too much, it's literally painful and mesmerizing simultaneously to see how much suffering the average man & woman endures in their lives on Earth. I went through what felt like every single possible human emotion ever felt on Earth during my DMT-trip, from heavenly highs to contentment to the most terrifying painful lows down in the deepest parts of hell. It was clear to me, that relatively speaking, the sum of all these 'emotions' was (still): pain, suffering. That's just the nature of the human ego/condition: to be in pain, to suffer. And it was just lucidly clear to me that there was a deep, deep meaning & purpose behind all of it. And while you always have an invitation (here on Earth) to wake the fuck up and actually transcend all your own suffering (transcend ego), globally speaking it's just a tiny tiny drop of suffering that's being transcended in a vast ocean of suffering. Life IS suffering. Death IS bliss. Yet I'm not saying you should strive to die, i.e. begin getting suicidal ideations. Suicide is an imaginary external solution to an imaginary inner problem. Suicide literally will just make your soul reincarnate instantly back into Earth one way or the other (it's infinite, remember), because you haven't finished the lesson yet. What is life? It's a long, long, long, thorough lesson in accepting pain, transcending suffering, saying no to ego, saying no to devilry, no to cravings, no to being asleep, and instead: yes to liberation, yes to being awake, yes to selflessness, yes to Love. That's what it is. It's basically about becoming a professional at 'breathing through all the pain of life'. When you have become pro enough, you can consciously die - Mahasamadhi - and join the rest of the pro-breathers in the afterlife. Consciously dying = Afterlife = Bliss Unconsciously dying = reincarnation = still some suffering left to transcend:-).

I think we incarnate here to learn lessons and undo karma and the best way to do that is to subject ourselves to discomfort and fall on our asses and have to pick ourselves back up on our own. To me the idea of an over-reaching socialist utopia that tries to save everyone from everything and make it so they never have to be a wage slave, get bailed out from everything, etc, is counter to the idea of growth, spiritual or otherwise. Also in the US it seems to me like it's the progressives that promote the racism they claim to be trying to solve, by constantly playing identity politics, telling minority groups how supposedly oppressed they are and thus stirring anger within them, and when they don't play the oppression game suddenly they don't matter. For example more and more asians aren't being considered people of color, because when they come to this country they work hard and make something of themselves, rather than sitting and screaming "victim." I've heard Leo talk about community responsibility in his videos but to me that only goes so far.. you have to have personal responsibility also. US politics in general turns me off... both sides are so corrupt and try to buy people's votes while spending the majority of their time in politics raising money for themselves. The amount of blatant hypocrisy is astounding. To me all this political stuff is really not making me happy, and a waste of time though. I know what I should be doing, versus what I am doing. I avoid this place because lately in the last couple of years it's taken the direction that campaigning for causes is a good thing, but that's not what enlightenment is really about. Advanced yogis transform people merely by their high vibration, and that high vibration comes from a state of radical acceptance of what is, not making the dream real and trying to be some spiritual warrior. It comes from living by example... focusing one one's own development rather than what everyone else is doing. Honestly I'm surprised the reincarnation aspect isn't discussed here more. If there's no reincarnation there's literally no point to to undoing karma at all.. if we just die and nothing in this life actually matters or carries on into future lives. In Leo's video on addictions he said that when you die that's it, you are gone for billions of years. Perhaps his view has evolved since he made that video... Why not just take the blue pill? There's plenty of happy people in my state that some might call "asleep" ... they work hard, own a house, have a family that makes them happy, they take that family on vacations, post pictures of their kids on social media, take them to sporting events, and all that traditional nuclear family stuff. Utah is one of the happiest states in the US because they follow these traditional values of Mormonism... so who's to say what the right way to live is, what kind of politics are right for a culture? This is why I want to ditch my politics.. I see it as largely pointless. Chuckle. I just get turned off by the state green elitism here sometimes... I'm so progressive so I'm so much more evolved than the peasants... no, you are not. It would do all of us good to get off our high horses and ditch our spiritual egos... myself included.

In Buddhism they Believe in reincarnation and karma. You keep incarnating after death until you pay all your karma and then you stop and cease to exist completely. That state of cessation and nothingness is called "nirvana ". It's basically a form of salvation and being free from the sufferings of life. (because according to Buddhism, life is suffering). What do you think of the Buddhist narrative? And what is your own definition of nirvana?

Then there is Ravi. I didn't talk to him yesterday because I was busy with work. But he is sweet and caring. Although strict. I used to always tell myself that if I fell in love with a guy he should be like a reincarnation of Shiva.

Every single moment of your life, every step that you take, you are given opportunities to choose, to decide, to create yourself and create your life. And since death is simply a transition from one state to another, even upon the death of your body, are you afforded yet more opportunities to choose. So I wish to address a question that has been popping up on my radar quite a bit of late. There seems to be some confusion about this. What do I do after I die? Do I go into the light or do I not? And if I don’t go into the light, where do I go? There is a perspective that the light it leads you back to the karmic wheel of reincarnation. And this is not a groundless area of concern! As I understand it, one of the disciplines Tibetan Buddhists attend to those who are in the process of dying. Really, what this is about is offering the dying some detailed instruction and reminder of what to do - and what not to do - after leaving this mortal form. The Tibetans believe that one can make poor choices after dying. Choices that result in undesirable experiences. They believe one can get lost or stuck. I don't disagree. I don't find the situation to be terribly troubling though, as I know there is always help. But that said, in response to my becoming aware of this question, I have sought some answers. And I'd like to share with you what I have found in this regard so that you might check this with your own truth and decide for yourself. So here is what happens when your body dies: Firstly, you will find that you are still alive. You will find that you still have a body, very like the one that died, except that it is not dense like your old body. It’s an energy pattern that you are still holding onto. For most of us there will be a moment of adjustment and then, as you let go of this world and accept your transitioning, the human world will begin to fade away until you find yourself standing in a calm stillness. It will become dark and peaceful. And then you will be offered a rescue. A salvation. A light will shine down upon you from above. If you step into the light, you will feel the tug of love and healing. A balm for your soul. You will hear heavenly music and it will invite you upwards into its embrace. Now, allow me to say that there is nothing wrong with accepting this offer. But every choice in spirit space is deeply symbolic. And this choice is no different. Choosing to go up into this beam of light that shines from above is a choice to seek what is true, divine and holy both outside of yourself and above yourself. It is a dualistic choice. And what will come from such a choice will be dualistic experiences. And if that is what you want, then that’s perfectly fine. You can go to heaven that way, meet your savior and whatever else lies in that direction for you. And then, when you have rested in heaven and healed your wounds, you will come to the awareness that you want to return again to incarnation and do more work on your soul's growth. That’s what happens when we remain in duality consciousness. The second option, the choice not to go into the light but remain instead in the darkness is not a great option. This darkness is not an unpleasant place. It’s just a non-place. A place of perfect external stillness. Those who find themselves there, find their minds beginning to create experiences for them. If you have ever experienced the sensory deprivation of a flotation chamber you’ll know how this works. When there is nothing for your mind to busy itself with, it begins to create. It’s a bit like dreaming. And that is exactly what happens to you if you remain in the darkness. You are actually in the astral realms. You see all kinds of dreamscapes. You encounter all kinds of phantasms. You meet other dreaming souls. It can, in its own way, be both fun and interesting. But then too, if you have many unresolved fears you might experience this to be quite hellish. When an undisciplined mind begins to play upon itself it can produce some very unpleasant experiences. So, unless you know what you are doing, I wouldn’t recommend choosing to remain in the darkness. So where DO you go if you are busy transcending duality consciousness? The answer here is to look to the source of your own truth. Look to the same place from which you connect with the divine, eternal indwelling spirit. Look to the same place from which love comes. I refer, of course, to your own heart. Look to the place where you feel your heart to be. Look inwards for the light of oneness that shines from the center of your being. Now, this is not some clever trick that you can use to circumvent your own growth. Those who are still of duality consciousness will probably not believe a word of what I am saying. But even if they did, they would not see this light within. I remember when I was still very much of duality consciousness. I remember that there was nothing in my heart. It was too blocked for me to feel anything there. It was with my first awakening to unity consciousness that my inner most Heart Chakra opened. So there is no trick here. If you are of unity consciousness, you will probably look to your own heart anyway. This message from me is just a kind of gentle and loving reminder to do so. If you are of duality consciousness you will probably look up to the light to be rescued. And that will be right for you too. But if you are ready and if you do look within you will find the most radiant, most pure blazing light shining from your own center and you will be able to move towards this light. And then into the light. And as you do so, you will see, sense and know many magnificent things. You will know, for example, that this life of yours has all been your creation. You will know that this person you have been has been your creation. You will know, finally, that you are the creator of all that you have experienced. Answers will arrive in the same instant as questions arrive. You will know. And then from this place of pure, still being, you will be able to choose where next you will go and what next you will do. And this will be the most perfect, divine, right choice for you. Greg

Do you want honesty or philosophy? I prefer honesty, which is that nobody knows what happens after death. Eastern philosophies favor reincarnation and ultimate reintegration, but that is just another belief. The only reliable truth is directly realized, and being free from conceptualization, there are no beliefs associated with it. Ultimate reality simply is, and life/death is the story we tell ourselves. Near death experiences are about as close as you will get to understanding relative reality, and they suggest temporal continuity, in some form. I find "Return from Tomorrow" by George Ritchie to be more credible than most, and also love this:

The only theory about reincarnation that I read and it seemed possible to me is that no one really reincarnates since we are all basically the same, what happens is that a being that exists is basically a form or an energetic pattern that delimits the being, nothingness ,what it is, or whatever you want to call it. when that pattern disappears in some way it remains in the general memory (if such a thing exists) and, with the tendency of existence to evolve, that pattern reappears, to continue evolving. this is as believable or incredible as anything else, but it sounds logical to me. It is not that you are going to reincarnate, since you are basically the existence, it is that your ego, or the energetic pattern , which has been evolving for a long time, will continue to do so. so here we are working for the evolution of ourselves

I want to talk about death and reincarnation. The first question is being that when you die does the physical world and universe cease to exist? Because fundamentally there was never a physical objective universe, the universe was something you were imagining. How can this be well explained? Because someone may say "no the physical world and universe will continue on and it existed before you were born." But It's a chicken and egg problem. The second question is reincarnation. I have always asked the question of what was I before I was born and did I ever have previous lives prior to this one in some parallel universe. These are deep existential questions for everyone, because what is awareness? and did this awareness exist before you were born? is the awareness consciousness? And when you die do you just rest in this formless empty void forever or do you reincarnate? Another thing that I dont understand about reincarnation is that why even do it even after you awakened? You're just going from one ego form to a next? Doesnt that go against the whole purpose of ego death? I will hear many things about reincarnation, this one in particular I will hear alot from Buddhist and other spiritual teachers... "If you dont get it right you will reincarnate, but until you do get it right or awaken you will stop the cycle" What are they specifically talking about? To love everything?

I just look at it as karmic lessons they need to learn. If they end up in prison it's probably for a reason. I take the reincarnation approach to looking at a lot of these things though, one reason I'm not so hell bent on trying to save everyone from everything. Hardship exists for a reason. Hardship is a learning tool. I've heard it said that communist governments are so bad because they prevent spiritual growth, because they take away incentive for people to make mistakes and learn from them, by having their hand held from cradle to grave by a government that over-regulates their lives. My goal in this life is to undo as much karma (past life or otherwise) as possible via forgiveness and radical acceptance, summarized neatly on such sites as "cfenlightenment.org" As for pedophiles I firmly believe it's wired into some men's DNA (and women's) to be attracted to minors right down to the age of puberty. If you ever research the subject you'll know that 12 year old girls are perfectly capable of bringing a child to term, and we used to marry at age 15-16 in the US back in the 1800's, and for most of our evolution, right around puberty. It's only cultural mores that make it unacceptable now. All the past empires... Romans, Egyptions, Aztecs, Vikings, etc... it was 25 year old men marrying 12-15 year old girls. Sometimes the men were much older. Boys were taken off to learn combat at age 7-8. I believe in the rule "When in Rome" so I think it's a mistake to exercise these urges, nonetheless I'm lead to believe by the study of evolution and past cultures that these attractions exist in many individuals. Also just talking to women... the stories of the crushes they had when they were really young... That said it's best to not partake in any activity that will add more negative karma that will have to be undone in future lives... and is it worth prison time for sexual urges? Certainly not.

Then what makes you anything but a reincarnation of Shiva? Your belief surrounding it. I had to accept that I was an incarnation of this being and then surrender my entire Being to the guidance of this being while encompassed in crown chakra bliss (I prefer Holy Spirit as a term for this, but it’s not very active here) to experience my deepest awakening. I gave the most intense form of Bhakti in that moment.

There are different orders of reality and yes, subtle-body is the inner transmigrating "apparent" body if you will, according to Vedanta. From one order of reality every thing is all consciousness, end of story, we can all hang up our spiritual hats, boom...done! But, from another order of reality we have the "apparent" world with people, animals, maybe an afterlife and reincarnation! ? ...and all of it, no matter how you think it sounds is nothing but consciousness really, as it is made of consciousness, within and permeated by consciousness, but Vedanta picks it all apart for discrimination purposes. I was pointing you to the correct terminology, according to Advaita Vedanta. If you want to explore it, so be it, if not, that's fine too.

You're already in a non-physical plane, this is no more solid that your last night dream, except now you believe everything around you is made of something you call matter and that is definitely not made up by your mind, but it is. God is everything you experience right now, and no individual self is experiencing anything, the individual self is an experience too. There is no ego that can die, it's a figment of your imagination, an experience you create out of thin air right now, something you imagine as God. So there is no contradiction really, those people just recall what they imagined (as God) after "death", which is just more experience. What Leo says is that to merge with God you have to see through the fiction of "death" and see that you're not a human being, that it's just an experience inside you (God). So in a sense, the death of the body, is the same as the death of the self (what you think is you), cause when you lose the body, you lose the object of identification you used to be attached, and if you believe in reincarnation, that you have an individual soul, then you can go on and imagine there is a you in an another body or animal or whatever. Basically, if you want to understand this intuitively, just start to think that everything you experience, whether it is a dream, "real" life or the "hallucinations" of a psychedelic, that they are all happening inside an infinite mind, capable of imagining whatever it want, even that it's a human being extremely limited in what he can do, in a vast world with other people. It's all imagined by you (as God). Just be careful as to say that then nothing is real, that will just add unnecessary suffering and depression, that's just a human projection, cause you can't say that something is real or unreal, cause there need something to be real (materially speaking) for that distinction to be even possible. There isn't, nothing is material, materiality is a thing you imagine too. Same thing with aloneness, you can't be alone if there never was something else than you, that's another human projection. /!\ Don' t harm the body, you don't need to "die" to realize what's true /!\

Only if you believe in those things. Reincarnation is not understood by most Buddhists. Reincarnation is not a specific individual soul reincarnating, it's God incarnating in an another experience, which there is an infinite number of. And by that it also means you right now as God identifying again (reincarnating) every moment with Machiavelli. That's a materialistic view you have on reincarnation, there is no individual soul to reincarnate in anything, because those only exist if you believe in them. So yes it's important, as long as you hold it as important. Do you want those ideas to be important ? Seems like limiting your capacity to be happy and fully yourself in your life from my point of view.

@The0Self But reincarnation is proved to be true. There are some documented cases of people across the world where people can remember their past lifes on earth. Some claim that they were born on other planets light years far from us. The whole notion of atma triggers duality . As soon as soul/atman exist then it implies it exist separate from body and is located somewhere in body. Otherwise what is that leaves the body during death of physical body? If soul exist then it means that whole notion of our body is Mind or consciousness is wrong. And we cant have influence on our body. As body and soul are different.
