Do not call Sadhguru a conman or fraud on this forum. You have no comprehension of the work he has done for mankind.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

You are creating a dangerous atmosphere if you think that certain people stand above all criticism and reproach. Even the most 'enlightened being' in the world is still a human that breathes, eats and shits. Especially people that are particularly charismatic - like Sadhguru - should be under close inspection. Regardless if Sadhguru is a fraud or not, there are a lot of people in this world who are definitely frauds that make millions of dollars, abuse people and elevate themselves in positions of power and privilege by using the word of God, enlightenment, spirituality or anything in that vain.

Sadhguru is a fraud and not enlightened. It’s unfortunate he is getting so popular when it’s just going to mislead people... wish Tolle got on JRE instead, he’s a much better introduction.

I get strong transmission from him. I'm sure other people can confirm this.

Ok. I find some of his behavior bizarre then if he really is legit.

Shanmugam was a user here and he got banned.

regardless I think he raised good points about Sadhguru and the behavior of his supporters towards him was concerning as to the community he is building.

I was going to say the same thing.  We cannot deny criticism of one individual and then allow it somewhere else

This is just criticism and nothing more.  We can't take it personally just because we like a person.  Personally from what I've seen I think he's just a really good entertainer.  I don't know about awake but I could be wrong.  He's a good business man though.

The paper isn't great, he uses Osho as the example of what a guru should be, which although I believe Osho was awake he was arguably more flawed than Sadhuguru esp considering what happened with the community he setup. Also generally he's not even saying Sadhuguru is a fraud in the paper.

In general ive always got quite deep vibes and general sense that Sadhguru is enlightened and in general has done a lot for mankind, esp with causes like this and trees which are not really fashionable, when the dust clears I think people will be very grateful for his contributions. Having said all that of course he's not above criticism and he himself has said something along the lines of don't just be devotee accepting everything I say, judge everything I say with whether it resonates and makes sense for you

You see, this is what I don't get with him. To me he's more of a philosopher than an enlightened person.

When I hear him answering questions, he always appears to have this need to always be right or to appear to others as someone who knows everything, because if he doesn't, people will think less of him, or something.

Like his ego is too attached to this spiritual persona superstar he is now. I'd love to just see him some time honestly saying "I don't know this" or "I am not very sure how to answer your question".  I don't know, simple stuff like that. I remembered now - humbleness - this is what I miss in him.

Sometimes I think I see him momentarily stuck when given a question - it's just intuitive - and I see his mind trying very quickly try to force some believable answer. Something that the person asking would think an enlightened person would say and is satisfied. He doesn't come out genuine.

But whatever negative stuff  people say about him, it doesn't negate that he did a lot of good and is still trying to do good for mankind.

I just don't buy the "enlightened" crap. At least to me it is crap.

Would it help people take spirituality seriously?  Not so sure.  I think he should talk to more serious people.

I think with any teacher it's better to just judge on the actual content, like for example there could be something in particular he said that doesn't really make sense to you or seems really driven by ego, in which case there could be valid criticisms. But in general I don't think he talks in an overly mystical way, he tends to break things down in ways people can understand, which is one of his strengths in being able to talk to people where they're at.

You may not like the delivery but I don't think that negates whether someone is quite advanced, a lot of people dont like Leo's delivery bur that doesn't mean he has a lot of great insights to share and is a developed person.

But also it doesn't mean you have to like sadhguru, there are many different teachers that might be able to connect with you better.
