I am a very strong advocate of not only nofap, but refraining from all sexual activity and pleasure. I believe that intense physical pleasure like sexual pleasure is directly antithetical to spirituality.

Have you ever had an awakening?

To balance beauty and complexity so perfectly is a divine mystery.

@sourcetruth The primary reason you are repressing sexuality is not because of some spiritual reason, is because of your inability to get with the opposite sex, you consequently use nofap as a neurotic overreaction to cope.

Don't kid yourself. Somebody who is developed and conscious would not be preaching about nofap.

That is a good point.

GO TALK TO GIRLS! << that's the elephant in the room for most of you guys.

Notice how many excuses you have for not talking to girls.

Nothing is anthetical to spirituality.

Spirituality is not the renunciation of life

It is the art of living fully

In the relative world, and only if you create a duality from your egotic human mind.

I know myself well enough to tell you that is sincerely not the case. You are assuming that I think like everyone else.

Then you're talking about a relative lifestyle you created, not about realizing what's true.

@Shin What would you say about the lifestyle of those like Priests and Buddhists who abstain from sex?

That it is dogmas perpetuated for centuries, obviously.

@Leo Gura You have pointed me to wise insights, thanks.

Even though nofap might be a subtle neurotic behavior for building my confidence and grounding, I would still argue it works, but not like any drug or something, it feels healthy and healing.

But yeah, at least for now it helps me to deal with my not-so-strong mind. It makes me better with people in general.

And yeah I won't lie, this is scary - talking to women. I have some social anxiety and don't feel like it's "the right time"

Dogma? Are you saying there can't possibly be any valid spiritual reason to abstain from sex? If that is what you are saying, then that is boldly and arrogantly dismissive of antisexuality.

There is, but thinking you have to to be spiritual and attain any kind of spiritual realizations is pure dogma and delusion.
