Going to university or not?

17 posts in this topic

I’m 19 and I have 1 year for deciding to either go to university or going to work.

I already discovered my life purpose , at least a raw form of it. My idea was to finish school and find a crappy job and In the meanwhile working on my life purpose.

The alternative is to go to university , or do some kind of specialisation so I can find a better job and then dedicate myself to the life purpose.

What do you think is the best way? Searching for a crappy job and immediately working on my life purpose or waiting to specialise for a better job and then working on my life purpose ?

The problem with going to university or doing some kind of specialisation is that I don’t have any kind of interest outside my life purpose , and doing university of specialisation without interest doesn’t seem like a good idea to me. It seems like a waste of time and money.

You're right, going to university without an interest is likely a mistake.

I was academically inclined when i started university, but then i learnt i had made the wrong decision, but stuck with it anyway, and that was a mistake,  because i no longer had an interest.

Now i am doing further study, but i can see s clear career development from this degree.

If i had studied something that interested me, i wouldnt have considered it a mistake, and if i had done something with clear career development i wouldnt consider it a mistake, but instead i went down the middle and did something with some interest and some career development, but not enough of either. I could have instead done something that interested me more and specialised later, i just didnt know at that point what i wanted to do.

Maybe find the middle way, you can study in university with the course that relates to your life purpose and that's how you will be working on your life purpose in a way, and maybe you will find out the clear-cut view (niche) of your life purpose.

I think that no matter how much you count on going to university, it's worth it. I think proper time planning with the university in mind will give you an idea of the specialists and skills that you will need in your profession. Yes, I agree that there are many nuances to studying. There are many problems in education that students face. But, these problems can be solved by using the website https://ca.edubirdie.com/math-problems-writing-service for homework in different subjects. This site is a writing service for solving the problem with math. In addition, a university is a place for new acquaintances. A place where you can not only study but also have fun. I went to college and then went to university. I don't regret the time, because my knowledge made it possible to find a well-paid job.

STEM degree? Yes. Otherwise, probably not worth it.

Since you have a year to decide, there's no reason not to start working on your life purpose now.

A year from now, you should have the experience to know whether your life purpose is more important to you than a professional career. There's no right answer, it's all dependent on your personal experience.

Take your time and weigh up the possibilities, university should be a time of becoming independent and flourishing socially and trying different things as well as the qualification at the end of it

Maybe online cource is better? You can make an appointment with the teacher, in advance, for a short interview. On online private platform, teachers can offer their future students a free 15-minute interview. The goal is to meet and discuss the student's expectations as well as their difficulties or their goal. Teacher can then identify the needs and work from them and develop the best teaching strategy with the right method to adopt. Furthermore, offering a first 15-minute session is a good way to reassure parents and students about the quality of the course they will be receiving, indeed online tutoring is still new for many people
It is not easy. There are many factors to take into account, such as the subject, the level, motivations and objectives ... etc. Or go to https://pro-papers.com/personal-statement-writing

Hmmm, I am 24 dropped out of university because of depression and anxiety.  I do wish I had some skill that paid me a lot of money. I feel a bit trapped right now because what I thought was my life purpose isn't and I am in a land of confusion. It would be nice to have some money that's for sure.

Thought I WAS able to get a decent paying job. Just, I got a huge ego backlash and now I am figuring it out. I don't know why I am here.

university won't  be a miracle platform for you when you're lazy but it can be still good option

if you are okay not to attend university, do not attend but it requires constant discipline and planning all by yourself.

When I studied at university it was useless because I had to work.

It was hard for me to write an essay. I was lucky because my friends advised me excellent help essay write service. Service can paraphrase online text and make it unique.

If you have to work and study at the same time, it will be difficult for you to cope on your own.

Now is the time to learn, you will be able to work later. If you don't do it now you will regret it later. Later it will be harder to learn for several reasons.

These seem to be the main options

  • Find a way to make your life purpose profitable (If I were you, I would make sure it is a secure way)
  • Aim for financial freedom (ideally through building high income-producing assets)

However, more information is needed

  • Why do you only have 1 year?
  • What is the area of your life purpose?
  • How much would university cost? Any scholarship or aid?
