A very good example of vMEME Orange overrelyance  on logic, to the point of being naive...

Reality is far more chaotic than what this video is trying to present...

A lot of our challenges in life requires non-linear solutions, when feedback is not very clear or it's delayed (no "if-then" fallacies), or sometimes we might do everything right, we have the "clear logic", but the environment that we're in is very hostile for growing, or it doesn't provide the frame of reference necessary to overcome a problem, and so on and so forth...

Don't get me wrong! logic is a very helpful tool! The Problem with vMEME Orange is that they atomized too much their worldview, to the point of trying to make reality to accommodate their own individual perspective, giving lots of instant feedbacks, just because someone has the "right mindset" and is being proactive ... and that's not gonna fly in a complex world like ours...

Maths is Orange.

Prove me wrong.

You can teach a preschooler (Purple-Red) basic arithmetic, but more abstract forms of math (algebra, calculus) are more Orange.

I'm not referring to arithmetic.

You're right, arithmetic is lower down.

I will say, higher level maths is also a lot about Yellow, but this is more for researchers. A university professor doesn't need to be Yellow. They can be Green. Pure maths professors are typically Yellow and above, but statistics professors are often Green.

Yaaa... I think many people misunderstand themselves and others here as Yellow or above but are really more "orangey-flavor".  Or more "Expert" in terms of the Ego-Development model I think.    Just cuz we talk about systems thinking and spirituality and even have mystical experiences and do psychedelics doesn't put us at Tier-2 etc..  The popular SD and Wilberean theories popular here even emphasize people have different lines of development that can be at different stages.

The people here are mostly Green who talk about Orange things.

In truth, that's most adults. Green Frontier with Orange Centre.

To have a Turquoise Centre is incredibly rare.

What are math's motivations?  Does it seek recognition/success?

Originally was, now it's Orange-Green, with small pockets of Yellow and Turquoise.

Are you contradicting yourself?

Misleading to start using such terms, imo.  There's just centre and cultural influences.

UK and Japan lead the world in recycling.  But that doesn't mean they're Green countries.  It's just culture.

Yep. It's a sad truth.

Maths is upper Orange, which is Modelling.

Read my post in the Thematic Hierarchy thread about Centre and Frontier. I didn't contradict myself.

It is not.  Orange isn't interested in models for their own sake.  Orange doesn't value understanding/wisdom in itself, it values achievement.

No idea where you're getting these ideas from, but they're wrong.
