@Saumaya Marcus posted Faceless path (below)...does it look like a teaching? Not to me.

"* Spend time on you own, in solitude. Get to know yourself, and see that knowing yourself is equal to knowing God.

* Interact with nature, animals and humans. Just interact with ordinary people, discuss life in an innocent and joyful creative way, and be equal with anyone, don't seek out for authority in others or in yourself"

If I understand Faceless correctly, he meant

Teaching has to be contemplated otherwise it cannot be realised. A teacher can teach a teaching, but self knowledge is only gained when the teaching is realised. He doesnt say there should be no teaching, he says there should be no psychological authority.

Any teaching is still a teaching. Vedanta is not a special snowflake.

Correct.

Communication must be mutual, which means there is only learning when no authority is relied upon psychologically.

It’s an open ended exchange. A movement of learning for both.

When there is a suspended movement of one’s own experience as the the knower.

To engage in the communication without any resistence/reaction.

To both suspend there own accumulated bias and prejudices so there can be a meeting (waking together)

To understand problems together, with that as the sole purpose of the investigation.

If you don’t understand yourself how can understand another.

This is common sense.

Only maybe not so common?

Im not concerned with Marcus's words, Im concerned with Faceless's words. Those are the one which you disagreed with without actually trying to understand them when you actually meant the same thing.

It might make you a better person, but it's not enlightenment. And so far it doesn't agree with the last 5000 years of spiritual wisdom which all point to the same thing.

Faceless ideology is new age thinking. And it's covertly prescriptive (a teaching)

I'm not sure where he picked this stuff up from, but it sounds very new age with the oneness stuff.

Which is not what the traditions say non duality actually is.

I have never accumulated a single non-dual teaching.

What traditions point to is not what nonduality is anyway.

I simply learned about all dualistic movement in myself and ended it.

As I have said before duality must end.

There is no way around that.

In the beggining Barry Long states that behind consciousness we find something else! What ?

You've slept a hundred nights, And what has it brought you? For your self, for your God, Wake up! Wake up! Sleep no more.

@LiakosN Nisargadatta refers to it as the Para-brahaman, the absolute. Beyond all conscious experiance. Conscious beings as conscious experiance are literally the eyes/witness for what God has no awareness of. I think of it this way. Does a flower have conscious awareness? Not really. But yet it is very much a part of existence.  Same as with God. All of existence - god/us-everything, exists only in the eye of the beholder/consciousness- Brahman.

"The parabrahman or absolute has no awareness of itself. Consciousness happens as if on a screen on the absolute"  Nisargadatta

Notice the word "on" the absolute and not "of" or "in". That would suggest that consciousness is one step under God.

I wonder if it only is a difference in interpretation.

@John Lula I'm quite sure it is. Infinite interpretations/expressions of God. The beautiful infinite diversity of God.

Requires either a very still mind, like a perfectly calm pond, or psychedelics.

is it achievable only with those 2?

Does everything needs to be about enlightenment?

Not sure how to answer this. It's weird.

Not every teaching needs to be enlightenment. If I say be more considerate about other peoples feelings, I shouldn't use it because its not about enlightenment?

Non Duality has nothing to with traditions. Traditions may attempt to express it but true Non duality is always practised.
