I should clarify, I didn’t mean all of those were examples of bragging or ego. I could have been clearer on that. It was just every example ChatGPT could find of people self-identifying as tier 2. Some, including yours, are pretty reasonable. A lot are clearly just people pumping up their own tyres.

And hey, nothing passive about it—purely aggressive, but I'm working on transmuting my inner Stage Red demon energy into productivity.

It is a worthwhile issue to dissect though. @Zenterus makes a valid point but I think it lacks nuance and I'm right that a lot of people without a growth mindset see anybody that actually has a superior development to them as delusional or arrogant even if that's not accurate.

Betcha there is some Tier two in me, but I think  mostly operate in orange and green.

Life right now is focused on shoring up survival without whoring myself to a corporate machine, while building music/video for new heroes on their journey.

I grew up pretty fundamentalist Christian so I feel lucky there is a foundation of sorts, but Christianity and that whole method of meaning/living is not something I identify with.

I see Green and feel connection to it, but also see how unstable, ungrounded  or impractical it can be. Currently I care about personal success, I want financial freedom, I want my business to succeed, I like taking action, I want my relationships to grow.. I don't really know what I am but its not as simple as "Tier 2" or "Tier 1"

I see what you are saying with this post, but also it's tough to deny when you genuinely notice yourself aligning almost perfectly with the explanations of a certain stage. Like when i hear Integral post a video on Stage Yellow like this one shared, it almost perfectly explains my values and way of thinking right now. And then i think back to 5 years ago when i was living in a hippie yoga village in Mexico and it basically perfectly aligns with Green. If i was to hear a Green video now, it likely wouldn't resonate so much, same with Orange. I even tested this out, i lived in an extremely Stage Orange environement and while i wasn't judgemental and could appreciate it, it felt limited in certain ways. 

 

I don't think we should put Tier 2 SD as this impossible and super rare thing to achieve, once you know about it and study it properly and actively work on it, it should only make sense that you would move up the spiral. Do some people over shoot and create an ego about it? Absolutely (like the person saying they are Stage Coral here) but I don't think everyone who genuinely asses themselves in Tier 2 is automatically cringe. If they use it as a weapon or superiority thing, then yes, that's super cringe and an almost immediate indicator they are not in Tier 2. 

 

Also, part of SD is to go back and "clean up" as Ken Wilber says, to integrate shadow parts of previous stages, so if someone in Stage Yellow wants to "dip back into" Stage Orange to maybe integrate some of their sexuality, power, and money making, that is totally healthy and encouraged. Those are not "lower than" Stage Yellow, they are integrated, like rungs in a ladder.
