Btw, is it just me or Claude Code got really expensive lately for less session times? This shit costs a lot of money each month.

Separate writing the code from designing and conceptualising the architecture and just get really specific about the boundaries the ai must operate within. Eg: not coming up with any solutions you didn't think of. You can boost your productivity by not wasting time regurgitating syntax. And spend it where it really matters: solving problems.

You can create a custom ai within ChatGPT or Claude that is restricted to only operate within the set parameters.

No reason to deny yourself the productivity boost.

If your business is to provide web development services to clients, stop focusing on just development and more on providing the client with solutions, marketing and sales. You have to be creative with your mind. Once a website is complete, clients are looking to generate sales and revenue: consultation hasn't been replaced by AI. Talk with your clients and actually understand their problems. Most web developers focus on pushing out websites and calling it a day. They care little for their clients business.

Build up other skills: AI increasing your ability to be productive? Then learn something else while you produce more. Simple.

If you are building a product, stop focusing on coding and start building real solutions. When developers complain about losing their ability to code or AI is frying their brain, then use your mind in another way. I've spent 15 hours per day building up a SASS product with the assistance of AI and I'm a software engineer with a comprehensive guardrail/conductor (non-AI and human quality review). Before AI, I've iterated, built and launch over 700+ websites and designs.

Instead of focusing on coding brackets, I turn my focus on building products that provide value to the world. The democratizing of coding should be used to create solutions, building competing products that can be offered at a smaller fee compared to corporate monolith or finding gaps into the market. AI accelerates you there, your software engineering skills makes you better than 99% of vibe coders. Built something that's worth a damn and put your focus on that.

Everything else is noise.

Am I lazy or am I efficient? Or am I just not keeping up with my peers? Why am I worried? Who am I living for? What's my purpose? Wait let me ask AI.
