I love rap and I don't really give much of a shit about what they rap about.

If I did not have rap a massive chunk of my happiness would be gone. There are just certain moods where rap works just perfectly to amplify that mood, feel alive and dance.

Also I think the movement of rappers is genius. The way they dance. It is both powerful, but also relaxed. It can be argued that this is a superior way of movement from the daoist perspective. You cannot have power without weakness. In the same way, you cannot have strength without relaxation.

You cannot tell me this isn't a form of true power. The power of not giving a damn.

If I didn't have metal, dubstep, rap, I would be significantly less powerful.

I agree. 

I find that music with which I am in resonation with is very empowering and can even lead to experience of expanded states. Music is psychoactive.

Yes you can take a psychedelic or you could do what lil Yachty does and walk on a stage SOAK up that energy. And he can handle it since he is relaxed and non-attached. 

The body mirrors the mind and the mind mirrors the body. It is impossible to be attached in the mind and relaxed in the body nor is it possible to be relaxed in the mind and tight in the body.

When one is relaxed and flexible, not only is the intelligence of the fascia activated, but there is a stable controlled flow of energy which leads to immense power. 

If you think about it, a good performer has control over their audience. Again if that's not power I don't know what is.

Same here. I could listen all day to music. beeing mega super aware of the music, but contemplating nearly nothing :-D I really need silence for contemplation.. but thats a personal thing i guess.
But I am a musician.. can be all day in that music world just for the sake of music listening and playing

Rofl this gonna turn into a 'Do you like this Leo?' thread.

My suggestions were ballpark for Leo but I tried to push the limits of what he might like.

But I gonna admit, you aren't really trying with music if all you do is skip through on first listen. You have to listen to the full thing prior to dismal. Otherwise you castrate your own ability to experience novelty and broaden horizons.

I have a girlfriend who is similar, although with a different genre. My taste has a huge span, and I gave up a LONG time ago recommending her new stuff. 

No judgement from me. I eat and enjoy brain, offal, liver, eyeballs and tongue in my meals. And I think pizza and lasagne are disgusting! 

Although I think you might be open to more new music within your taste. She is stuck in a loop of the same songs from her younger days. She won't even try new music.

Good point. I personally never had the intention to please Leo Gura, he seem already Self-Pleased to Infinity Degree,so nobody here can reach that standards. For me the insights and recomendations of everone here is takens both with same value and taken with a pinch of salt. So share your musical frames.
