That's why it's affordable.

You can't have everything without a fee.

You want perfect weather? Pay 3x higher rent.

Or move to Northland in New Zealand where I live. Mild summers and very Mild winters too 😂. I must admit a part of me felt the same as spiral wizard about this topic until I realised who gives a F where you live, it's just a reflection of my own shadow and insecurities that I project on to other.

You have access to red rock canyon and mt Charleston for some respectable hiking.

Cheap cost of living besides gasoline.

It's a small city with not much traffic so you can get anywhere fast.

Downside is tourists come and go so can't develop relationships too easily.

Overall I would give the city a solid 8.0/10 for cities within America.

These are good arguments,

Personally I would need at least forests and rivers.

Jet skiing, kayaking, rowing, walking in the forest while smoking cigarettes, hunting, fishing, shooting... :P

Nothing will prevent Willy.

Reno also seems super cool. If I moved back to the USA, I would seriously consider it.

No. I hate big cities like NYC.

I would not live in any big city, like a rat in a concrete box.

I understand you, I live in a Mountain area in Portugal, small City, some nice places to eat, simple people, some turists sometimes in Summer, Hot during summer days but more fresh in morning and afternoons. Big cities like Lisbon may have more Nigth Life but one can go there once in a while to have fun and come back to the peace of nature to rest.

And also away from City Civil Unrest in case it hit someday.

I am so happy I found a place with perfect weather. Sweden baby, 20-25 C summers; -5-10 C winters. Hot weather makes me depressed, I sweat, I age my skin. Rain is nice, stop hating rain people.

Sweden is buit in such way that you can even live in the middle of the city and feel like living in the country side. No noise, no pollution, 100 steps to nearest forest with a lake. I feel so privledged living here, 95% of people will never have this luxury way of living in a city. USA infrastructure is a piece of garbage compared to germanic countries.

Yes. There is a culture of over politeness and not standing out, people don't want to bother each other. Which can be nice, but it makes people lonely and emotionally/socially underdeveloped.

The "cutting the tallest poppy" and "sticking the head into the sand" can go too far sometimes.

Conversations can be boring as hell, as social skills being generally mediocre, also people do not dare to challenge each other into deep talk . Men are affected massively, as men collapse when nothing challenges their immaturity.

Upstate New York it only rains. Winter is 6-8months. You are lucky if you see the sun. I cannot wait to move to Las Vegas in 2027.

I live in Belgium, which is similar to Sweden culturally and even somewhat weather-wise. If I could do it again I’d have moved to south of France or Vienna. Better balance of decent welfare state and good weather.

I once drove through Vegas, that was all i needed to see. It was one of the most Anti-Truth/God/Love places I have ever seen. It would def make me jadded and burnt out,
