Why Women Prefer Betas

432 posts in this topic

I was having a conversation earlier this week with someone about how the types of men that straight men believe are attractive differ from the types of men that women find attractive.

Healthy Gamer just made a video about it...

Women will rate based on vibe, the guy on the right is more intimidating

I’ve exercised in front of many women while sweating and the response is strongly positive and I even slept with a couple of them.

A picture of a fit man is not the same as a man exercising and sweating which strongly stimulates a woman’s mind as long as she’s comfortable and not intimidated.

It’s ridiculous how the scientist isolate one variable in a laboratory and then try to claim something from that data while missing the forest from the trees

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

Men are more attractive in motion, that's for sure. And men are attractive when they're doing something that shows their strength and physical capabilities.

Plus, gym girls will tend to be interested in gym guys because of the shared interests.

But that is beside the point of this video.

The point is that men tend to value hyper-Masculinity in men and believe that women are also attracted to it.

But women tend to be more attracted to men who are more average in their level of Masculinity and prefer a guy who has his Masculinity mixed in with traits that aren't typically considered Masculine.

I keep trying to communicate this a lot of different ways on this forum because I see lots of men on here who are under the impression that they have to compete in some kind of male dominance hierarchy and be the top alpha male to be preferred by women.

Women's preferences are a lot more geared towards the average guy than they are towards some gigachad of a guy.

It’s a good video thanks for sharing. Also worth considering what type of women you’re looking to attract. Average women will feel more comfortable around an average man but particularly attractive woman won’t give those average guys much attention.

Women do tend to develop attractions towards men who are their match looks-wise.

But very attractive women also don't tend to go for super ripped guys, as they don't respond as well to it compared to moderately strong guys.

Like, the guy in that picture is WAY more attractive before his transformation, imo. And I'm sure that very attractive women would say the same things.

And they've done surveys of women (including attractive women) where they rated the male body types they liked, and very few women chose the ripped/jacked guys.

So "ripped-ness" is not something that most women (regardless of attractiveness level) prefer.

Men tend to have a really strong positive reaction to really jacked guys... as it is something that men respect and admire. And it has a lot of currency in male dominance hierarchies.

But women don't value what male dominance hierarchies value... and are less likely to go for a jacked guy compared to a guy who's strong and has a normal or fit body type... or even a bit of a dad bod.

Women in general tend to be drawn to men who look more fatherly with a mixture of hard and soft qualities.

Men in general tend to appreciate the appearance of men who look physically intimidating and hyper-Masculine... and almost machinelike in their level of hardness and stoicism.

Women prefer betas once they realize alphas treat them like disposable diapers.

LOOL

Most women would say publicly what is socially acceptable. What makes them look good.

If the men believing this knew with which kind of dudes those girls hooked up...

Or maybe there are +30 women (tired of alphas) and really prefer that option, because the associate the jacked guy with just a ONS.

Or they realize they cant get a guy like that.

Is like men saying they prefer a regular chick in stead of a model because models are dumb.

The fox and the grapes kind of rationalization.

Put the 2 versions of that guy on tinder/speed dating/festival/bars and lets see.

Actions would speak louder than words.

Title seems a bit misleading. Beta vs Alpha isn’t necessarily the same as ripped vs non-ripped.

I read some comments from women about that pic and it seemed a lot of it was because his face looked older due to lighting.

All this talk about women don’t like ripped guys is all baloney.

People who say this are usually guys who aren’t fit themselves and women who can’t get these ripped guys.

A ripped guy is not somebody on steroids. It is just somebody who has a fit body like the statue of David made by MichaelAngelo. A man who has balanced his masculinity with femininity  but obviously centered in masculinity.

Women do respond positively to it. And it is not a mental calculation but a visceral response.

In these studies the women said they would rather hook up with a masculine guy then with a more feminine guy. This is not hidden.

HG puts this all through his relationship filter bias. Yes if you only want a relationship feminine features arent that bad for it, but if you want ONS these feminine features dont serve you as well.

They prefer betas to have relationships. (Provider)

Secretly, she wants to be fuck*d by a rough masculine barbarian.

They choose a beta for security.

When that wolf research came out and introduced that alpha-beta concept it must have been like the rapture for insecure men. That shit stuck even though it was completely wrong.

The epistemology of a bodybuilder forum and its consequences. I'm pretty sure the concept of "soyboys" came from there.

Men tend to want to be way more ripped than is actually attractive and women want to be way thinner than is actually attractive. Dudes who look good to dudes look like The Rock and women who look good for women are really tall, are borderline anorexic and have really masculine jaws.

In my experience, I've always preferred men that other men would call "betas" and never had much interest in the super ripped hyper-Masculine kind of guys.

It's about the energy of a guy who has both hard and soft qualities... and their body type is more attractive to me.

But "beta" guys can also treat you badly. So, it's not such a rigid dichotomy as that.

I'm sure there are total sweethearts that look like Arnold Swartzenegger... and terrible guys that look like Adam Sandler.

But I've always been far more likely to be attracted to a guy who looks more like the latter.
