  1. @Freakrik All your ideas about it are FALSE. That is the danger of listening to Leo’s non-duality videos. What you are imagining is what would’ve happened if the ego reincarnated. But the ego will not reincarnate. And you are the ego. So you will not reincarnate. What is already reincarnating is reality itself. This is quite obvious. Reality holds nothing personal with you. After you’re dead, it will go on to the next person. And not even that... Long story short, there is nothing to fear. Anything you imagine is NOT it. Notice that all of reality is happening right now. That’s it. Reincarnation is happening right now. There is nothing more to it!
  2. He is referring to reincarnation, and liberation from the cycle.
  3. I'd just like to thank you sincerely for completely fucking up my mind, body and soul. And probably, within the next 24 hours, the mind, body and soul of everyone I have ever loved. This is the end for me. Yes, IT IS then end. What you are preaching is existential nihilism. There is no difference. It is a dangerous, dangerous thing. You CANNOT explained the universe. FACT. Nobody can. You certainly CANNOT explain the universe by eating mushrooms. FACT. There is NO ANSWER. This is God repackaged. Look at this forum. Full of enlightened beings. All I see is anger, condescension, mockery and longing for something that, if we were supposed to have as a right, we shouldn't have to eat fucking mushrooms to attain. I have OCD. I cannot forget this now. And I can't focus on the now. IT IS PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR SOMEONE WITH A CONDITION LIKE OCD TO HAVE ZERO THOUGHTS. You'll say this is my ego, or my vibrations are out of whack mannnnn. You are not the universe. And the Universe does not love you. It does not have infinite knowledge. It does not have infinite love. If it did, then what sort of fuckin sick joke is all this?? Most of you on here are smart people. Which is why I know a lot of you are questioning all this all the time. You just daren't admit it. Leo if you truly believed what you are saying, pack up all of your shit, close your YouTube channel, with your self-indulged 'mystic' imagery, and go live in a cave in Japan, gobbling mushrooms. As for me, I have two options. I'm either going to the hospital, and telling them I'm a nutcase so I can live in a psych ward all my life while they feed me pills, just so I don't completely break the hearts of my parents. Or I'm off a bridge a few miles from my house. BUT I SUPPOSE IT DOESN'T MATTER. Look at ordinary people. You ask them, explain the universe. They'll say, fuck knows. Which is essentially where we are all at here. The difference is, they've accepted it and ARE MAKING THE BEST OF WHATEVER THE FUCK THIS IS. They don't need to chase it. Isn't that real enlightenment? Thanks for the pain of crushing anxiety, crushing depression, crushing hunger and self harm. Yes, these feelings are real. Many of you will know deep inside that what I am saying makes sense. You have a chance to forget it all and GO AND LIVE YOUR LIFE WITHOUT QUESTIONING EVERYTHING AND QUESTIONING THAT BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF NATURAL ENGINEERING CALLED YOUR BODY AND YOUR MIND. I don't have that privilege. I know this will get deleted. Where's your unlimited understanding and love? Do me a favour. See you when we're all reincarnated as fuckin trees. THERE'S NO SUCH THING. IF REINCARNATION WAS REAL, I'D HAVE COME BACK AS CATHERINE ZETA JONES' TAMPAX And on that note, enjoy you endless search for fuck all.
  4. A lot of new age content make it sound like you are ascending; it’s incredible, we’re getting upgraded to the fifth dimension. But from what I can tell, wether you call it spiritual awakening, mid life crisis, a existential crisis, dark night of the soul,... it is pointing to the same thing, and has been there since the dawn of time. (See Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey). There comes a time in the life of a man where he needs transformation. There is no upgrade, you didn’t choose to incarnate right now because it is so cool to awaken, you won’t get caught in another 17000 years of reincarnation if you don’t upgrade your vibration right now. I can’t believe I adopted these silly beliefs for a while. It is ridiculous. There is only a transformation, a return to the Self.
  5. I think what we need to do is stop looking at people in black and white terms or that they're some all knowing being. Everyone has valuable information and everyone has an ego, so just work out what information is valuable to you and dont buy into any teacher wholesale. Tbh I usually get a feeling whether someone is speaking from presence or not or whether they have an inflated ego. So I think just go with your gut on these things. The goal isn't to find the reincarnation of Christ it's to get the pointers you need to see what you truly are (or aren't). So get out of the idol mindset
  6. @Amun But their emotions are not real, are they? They might experience it, but that does not make it real. If I throw myself off a bridge, their emotional reaction is not real. Their real self, who they really are, would not react. It would even recognise me. Indeed, I am their son, but that is a concept. They could switch that emotion off in an instant. Tolle has even said this. It is you who chooses to grieve. Because he knows that ultimately, we are all illusions and not real. He can't say this though can he? Otherwise the world wouldn't last 24 hours. @Odysseus I loved Greek mythology, too. You say your ego is you. But is it really? We are being told that it isn't us. The 'real' you has no thoughts, no opinions and feelings or emotions. It is your ego that is telling you that you like Greek mythology. Why it feeds on that I am not sure. But your real self wouldn't recognise it. There is no need to know things. @Shin Watching that, the brown bear does a great job of illustrating my point. I don't see how he is wrong. He still actually has ego himself, because he has an opinion on what is right. But when it is an opinion on the Truth, that it is permitted. From what I've read and researched, everything is an illusion. From the love we feel for different things, the concepts that certain thing are beautiful, to the fear of death as a bad thing, none of it is real. It's all a construct. Who says I should fear death? One, that is a construct in itself, that death is a bad thing. Two, I won't hurt anyone. If you truly, truly accept the truth, then you have to come to terms with this point. Three, I will be dead, so it makes no difference to me. When you die, you die. Your body rots down to next to nothing. You don't go anywhere and you certainly don't come back as an olive. If reincarnation was real, I wouldn't now be me, because why would I want to be me? Of course I AM NOT ME.
  7. And did you buy any of his products? Im curious if buying his megahydrate and his neurophone will enhance my spiritual journey. For those who dont know who he is he claims that he is the reincarnation of Nikola Tesla. The megahydrate is a mimic of hunza water claiming to be the purest form of water avaliable on earth. And the neurophone is a device that enhances your meditation making it deeper it does other suff too.
  8. That has been a debate going on for a long time. Buddhist believe there is no individualized self, even though many posit that there is reincarnation. They offer no explanation as to what is being reincarnated. Vedanta believes that the self is not what you think it is but there is an individualized self called the Atman. What happens to the Atman when we die is debated within Vedanta. Even after enlightenment, there is something that continues to be refined. Personally, I believe there is an Atman that continues to evolve after the death of the body.
  9. Yes, one way or the other, that's what they're all doing. They come to it via different roads and conceptualize what they're doing differently. Zen monks, for example, are "just sitting" (zazen), but someone like Ramana sitting in a cave would be relaxing in that peaceful I. So the concepts around the practice are different, but the object is the same (I think; some may disagree). It is precisely, however, the point of practice that you don't need to be sitting for hours to do it... you can do it anywhere. Ramana simply enjoyed doing that. Yes, any self which reincarnates is just some version of the mind. It cannot be the absolute Self. Reincarnation is inherently a relative/illusory concept. I've heard of various ideas of this kind of reincarnation theory for "enlightened" people before... it's some version of the bodhisattva vow, where the bodhisattva could step into nirvana or "come back" to help people. I don't love PON (though I don't hate it). My thoughts on it are here. If one's true nature is "awareness" itself -- didn't you just say "one's"? That is, "one is." That "one" which is, is the "I." It is not an experience in the dualistic sense, but it is that it is, and that is-ness is not unaware. It is by its very nature self-radiant. It knows itself by itself, without an object, and thus it cannot be considered an 'experience' in the normal sense.' That self-radiance is the I-I. If you don't see the connection between the false, mere-concept "I" and this "I-I," my temptation is to suggest inquiring into who is wondering... for there very much is a connection.
  10. @winterknight So reincarnation is a belief? How can you be sure enlightenment is the absolute truth then if there could be more truths revealed once the body dies. Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question.
  11. The texts are referring to reincarnation of the subtle and causal bodies -- that is, the mind and its accumulated memories and karmas -- into another biological form -- or perhaps, if we're talking about heavens and hells, just the "subtle body" without normal biological limitations. Or biology itself may vary from plane to plane of existence. I know of the Book of the Dead, but not familiar.
  12. @winterknight When speaking of 'reincarnation', are the teachings referring to the illusion of 'karma' in this life or actual reincarnation in another biological form? This has never been clearly explained. I am not asking whether reincarnation into another body is a real phenomenon or not, but the intention of the texts. What is your understanding? Additionally, are you familiar with the Tibetan Book of the Dead?
  13. Brahman is beyond being and non-being. No, truth goes beyond the mind. 1. You have already quit the game. So simply, completely surrender. Give up all desires, expectations, and thoughts, and just be. Do not resist anything that happens, not in the world or in your mind. Just be. And you're instantly un-bound. 2. I don't know. From the standpoint of reincarnation theory, yes, you are certainly reborn. 3. Mental demons, perhaps. All thoughts are self-referential in some way. It is not self-referentiality that is the problem, but whether the Self is veiled or not. And for what purpose would you want to know whether someone is enlightened or not? You can't know, because enlightenment doesn't really exist. All you can do, if one was evaluating a teacher, is to look at things like whether the person seems to have coherent words and actions, understands and is able to respond to questions, makes sense in their ideas, projects peace and patience, etc.
  14. 1. How do you quit this game? I do not mean this life, but this whole reincarnation on Earth thing? I do not wanna see this planet again. I know reaching enlightenment is a way, but its too slow. I want to renounce the contract that binds me here NOW. 2. What happens when someone commits suicide? Don't worry I am not planning this, I have 2 daughters, but there is contradicting information on this. 3. Some people talk about psychedelics opening portals for demons, is that true?
  15. So this is the problem with mixing non-dual and dual concepts... it gets to be a confusing mess. Consciousness is not "outside" of mind and thoughts; they are nothing but appearances "within" it -- they are just forms of it. They are "contained" in it, but it is not contained in them. Actually they are not even that... but let's not get too complex. From the standpoint of non-duality, you were never born into this ego, let alone some other ego later. From the standpoint of reincarnation theory (which is not pure non-duality), you keep your ego, and it travels with you from body to body. Best not to think about it too much -- just inquire into the "I" feeling relentlessly and you will find out who you are and you'll understand. Great, good to hear! You would have to explain in a lot more detail what you meant by this. There is no one "dark night." Each person's problems are different.
  16. @Leo Gura I know that that’s what you said. But when you say to us “in the next reincarnation you will be Hitler”, who else could you be talking to but our egos? Your first slight of hand was to call it ‘transcendental I’ rather than your usual ‘absolute infinity’. The absolute isn’t personal to me, me and Hitler are both the absolute, at the same time (there is no past or future). If me and Hitler are both the same, how could one die and the next be born. You clearly said that when we die, we will reincarnate into the next person. But we already are them! Right now! Why are you introducing a future. We both know that the future will never come. That video had A LOT of flaws. I don’t even know where to begin. Please don’t talk about things that you have no grasp of. You’re not enlightened. That’s already bad enough.
  17. @Leo Gura It’s actually very misleading for people to tell us that after we die, we will reincarnate as somebody else. That’s because, in the videos, you are talking to our egoic selves, not our ‘transcendent I’. Reincarnation will always just be a concept. There’s no way you can be in a no-mind state and still perceive that after you die (death is an illusion), you will reincarnate as somebody else. We already are them! Why are you creating a distinction between me and Hitler in the first place. That will only be true if you are talking to our egoic selves. But remember, our egoic selves will not reincarnate.
  18. Buddhists and Advaita Vedantins see that a bit differently. Many Buddhists believe in reincarnation but they cant resolve that paradox. Vedantins believe the Atman is the True self, which is reincarnated. The duality is resolved because Atman is fundamentally Brahman.
  19. What's the biggest thing keeping you back from helping even more people? Be it financial, lack of expertise in some field, human needs, etc Is there reincarnation/past lives?
  20. @Winterknight How can enlightened teachers know what they know? As in things about how free will works, what happens when the body/mind dies, reincarnation etc. How important is IQ when it comes to how easy or hard it is to become enlightened. Are your chances of becoming enlightened small if you don't have above average IQ? Also I am constantly going around being afraid of different hell realities that god could create, like a reality were all you are conscious of is extreme pain for eternity. I am constantly living in fear thinking about it so I'm wondering how do you think I should relate to this? Thanks!
  21. @winterknight Have you had any experiences that would lead you to think that reincarnation is a true phenomena? Like maybe an experience(memory) of a past life or perhaps an insight into the way life brings forth "seemly" sentient beings and then also takes them back into itself(even tho they were always inside of God I guess ahahha) So yeah just curious about another persons perspective on reincarnation I guess?
  22. Suicide is cautioned against because if there is one birth, there is another -- there is reincarnation. Suicide doesn't mean you solve your problem. You simply get born again and have to face life's pain all over again, from the start. Better to commit the real suicide -- the one that kills the false self -- which can only happen through inquiry. Then you recognize divine immortality instead of being born again. Then you get all the benefits of life, and all the benefits of death. The video is ok, not great. There's a little truth to it, but it's also misleading. It implies that first there was a person and then it was sucked in and totally disappears, when in fact the realization is that there was never a person. Also, the Self is not this homogenous ball. But it's hard to represent the Truth in images. From the standpoint of enlightenment, the real truth is that there are no other people. Or if there are, they are all enlightened. But if you mean someone who has explicitly sought and seemed to have found and whose understanding is perfect, then no. I don't know what that would be like. It's hard to say, really, about the rest. The problem I was always different... always a little strange. So hard to say how much spirituality changes that fact. I think people seek my presence a bit more, but it's also hard to say for sure. Whether the bodhisattva can sustain a relationship with someone not interested in spiritual work doesn't really depend on their enlightenment but on their prior karma. That's what runs their bodies and minds. Finally, in fact there cannot be said to be any form. But if there is, then just as there are worlds with pain and suffering, there are surely worlds without -- as there are hells, there are heavens. Though even heaven is hell compared to the perfect realization of the Self. Because the realized one sees the truth that what appears to be suffering and pain is actually nothing other than grace and perfection.
  23. @SoonHei Your question is a very interesting, and quite honestly one of the better ones i've heard regarding enlightenment. Yes, mooji is correct to say he is here forever. Ramana says the same thing, and I will say the same, as it is truly how I feel. However you are asking about the mechanism that goes into reincarnation, and for that, I have no answer. The sages and the scriptures say that when you pursue enlightenment in one life, even if you don't reach it, you will be born again in circumstances that are more conducive to enlightenment. I have heard this from very wise sages. But I say, let's just be silent on the matter because it is the most truthful.
  24. It's probably my ego but I'm really put off by the thought of being Hitler or someone that undergoes torture or some other crazy shit. If that is the case, do you get a say so? The concept reminds me or reincarnation but even with that it's based on karma. At least with that idea you have some control. But yea I get it. It's my ego talking and "god" or "soul" probably wants it.
  25. I dont think Leo believes in past lives, not in the "Buddhist reincarnation" sense at least. Its more like, the real you hidden beneath your ego, which is god, is experiencing every life form through consciousness
