  1. Any opposition to that is a misunderstanding which is also included in the meaning of nonduality! ❤️
  2. Nonduality cannot differ from anything because it's literally a word pointing out the oneness of everything including all teachers and their teachings..... It points to the all inclusiveness of reality itself! ❤️
  3. Had no idea of spirituality, beyond religion and new age woo woo. In 2009, was on an anniversary vacation with my gf on the Oregon coast. We took alot of mushrooms, like 5-6g each. I had a full God Awakening. Afterwards, I wanted to know what happen to me. as I had no reference. In doing research, I discovered Nonduality teachers, and they seemed to understand and teach what I had experienced. That was the start of the path.
  4. There's an element of solipsism in nonduality. But nonduality is much broader than solipsism alone. Nonduality acknowledges that conciousness can be localized and individualized into infinite of points of conciousnesses(children of God) that share the same source, experiencing reality from infinite points of view simultaneously. Each point of conciousness having a sovereign will over their reality. The word solipsism becomes redundant at this point to describe reality because it excludes the reality of individuality and multiplicity. So yea, solipsism is technically correct but it's very misleading word aswell because it's only half the truth, not the whole of it. And without the second half, solipsism turns into a pile of crap.
  5. It differs when it comes to solipsism. Nonduality teaches that we are all sentient and we are all one and the same yet also individualized at the same time. Leo teaches that you're the only one sentient and everyone else is a hallucination from your mind. Traditional nonduality wouldn't agree with that. There's not a single spiritual teacher that would agree with that, nonduality or otherwise.
  6. The difference all lies within the consciousness of what God is. Just because someone says nondual things doesn't mean they have a profound consciousness of God. They may not understand God at all. They may not even know what the word God refers to. Just because they think they know doesn't mean they do. And doesn't mean their teaching will get people to realize God. God is the most trickiest thing to understand correctly, and virtually nobody has the epistemic nor ontological foundation necessary to properly understand it. Nonduality does not give people the necessary epistemic and ontological foundation. It offers simplistic group-think with little philosophical depth. Such people don't even understand why philosophical depth is important.
  7. Indeed it is. One of the first things that's much simpler to see from 'one is all' perspective is that the entirety of God is right here, right now, in your teacup. The very notion of perspective only exists in duality. You can explore and tweak this from endless angles, each direction completely bottomless, and it always converges back to One in the most beautiful mindfuck. Inconceivable states of consciousness could be reached this way, not possible or at least much more challenging to get to when you're stuck at 'all is one' because there's no one left to inquire into anything. But you as God can inquire into yourself forever and still still surprise yourself. 'Regular' nonduality doesn't explain how Truth is Love, why there's evil, doesn't let you see divine intelligence in stupidity and mundane, doesn't allow for holding paradox simultaneously beyond simply collapsing it, and so on. That's just the basics and there's higher gears beyond.
  8. This is something I'd like to hear about cuz Leo once said that awakening goes beyond regular nonduality...
  9. @Tristan12 also I suggest reading and listening to Robert Adams. He is a an american classical nonduality teacher who died in the 90s. Google his name and read and listen to him.
  10. What do you think is closer to the truth This kind of I created everything solipsism? Or this kind of no self there isn’t anybody radical nonduality? @Leo Gura
  11. Everyone can project whatever meaning they want on the Bible depending on what beliefs and biases they have. In this case, one can project nonduality on it and pretend that the authors of the Bible were writing about nonduality and God realization. I don't know why the exact same thing couldn't be said about any other random text and why the Bible should be treated special. If I try hard enough, I can redefine enough things so that I can say that the founding fathers were actually talking about nonduality and they were trying to teach about God realization. To me, this move seems like a desperate attempt to try to maintain a Christian identity while also trying to be "spiritual" at the same time.
  12. Where does one begin the search for spiritual truth self-realization called enlightenment? Dr. David Hawkins’ List Below has been calibrated above 500, which is unconditional love. I find this list important, as I do not want to be duped (smile) on my spiritual path by any book or teacher not yet teaching from the conscious level of (500+ which is unconditional non-duality love.) Hawkins’ Consciousness Scale ranges from 0-1000, (1000 is the Highest Level of pure/consciousness humanly possible.) “The great avatars that set the ultimate paradigm of reality and standard of conduct for all of humanity for thousands of years. Of those, the Lords Krishna, Buddha, Zoroaster, and Jesus Christ all calibrate at 1,000. All the names for Divinity calibrate as Infinity. The revered great sages and their teachings calibrate in the 700 (extremely rare), such Huang Po and Ramana Maharshi.” -Hawkins After being a student of Dr. Hawkins for a while now, I can share with you that I have forever been changed by his love. Although I’m not yet Enlightened I’m certainly on the path and nothing would take me off it, as I have discovered God’s Love is my LIFE. According to Hawkins we, as humans, live at vastly different “levels” of consciousness. All these levels, along with the “truth level” of ANY true/false style inquiry, can be tested for truth and numerically “calibrated” through muscle testing, on a logarithmic scale of 1-1000. According to Hawkins, any person, concept, thought or object that calibrates at 200 (The level of Integrity) or above is positive (“power”); anything below 200 is negative (“force”). So far, so good. Hawkins’ “map of the levels of human consciousness” is highly consistent with most spiritual teachings, running the range from Shame (lowest) to Enlightenment (highest). Hawkins’ descriptions of the levels are accurate; his personal growth coverage , positive energy and similar concepts are spiritually sound. (This is further discussed in Dr. David Hawkins book, Power vs. Force) Below is Dr. David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D. ‘List’ of calibrated Spiritual Teachers/Teachings/Places/Books and Mantras that are over the conscious level of 500 UNCONDITIONAL LOVE: [500] – LOVE This level is categorized by love that is very close to being unconditional, unchanging, and permanent. It does not fluctuate nor does it depend on external factors. Love is a state of being. It is a forgiving, nurturing, and a supportive way of relating to the world. It is not intellectual and does not come from the human mind. Love radiates from the heart Chakra. It has the capacity to life others and accomplishes great feats because of its purity of motive. At this level of consciousness, the capacity to discern essence becomes predominant. The core of an issue becomes the center of focus. As reason is bypassed, there arises the capacity for instantaneous recognition of the totality of a problem. Reason only deals with particulars, whereas Love deals with entireties. This ability, often called intuition, is the capacity for instantaneous understanding without resorting to sequential symbol processing. There is a major paradigm shift in those things, which seemed real, which now seem unreal and vice versa. This level opens to door to benevolence, mercy, and Forgiveness through understanding and nonjudgmental. Only 4% of the entire population of the earth attains this level. Because of the dominating power of light over darkness, one individual at this level counterbalances 750,000 people below the 200 levels. This is the level at which spirituality starts, since below this, individuals are still caught up in the linear world. Also the level of a songbird’s song, cat’s purr, and a dog’s wagging tail. [505] – The level of valor. Also the level of Dante. [510] – The current level of Catholicism. Also the level of the Ganges River, which demonstrates the power of spiritual intention, the power of prayer. It calibrates there despite having sewage from 100 metropolitan areas, all kinds of filth, even bodies. [520] – This level interestingly sees much country music, which may be due to the lyrics often speaking about the problems of the heart, emotionally speaking. [535] – The energy level of Christmas, which is probably due to the common practice of giving gifts to others and having festive celebrations with good tidings. [540] – Joy – At this level, love truly becomes unconditional. It becomes experienced as inner joy. This is not the sudden feeling of joy because of a turn of events. Rather, it is a constant accompaniment in everything the individual does in every moment of his or her life. Joy comes from each moment of existence. This is also the level of healing and spiritually based self-help groups. What has been known as ‘miracles’ occurs when someone is at this level of consciousness. Only 0.4% of the global population is at this level. This is also the level of truth of Christian practice in the 6th century AD. This is the level at which the third eye opens, physically known as the Pineal Gland. Devotional acts calibrate at 540, because of the power of their intention. Includes folding hands in prayer, kneeling to pray, genuflection, praying at the Wailing Wall, turning a prayer wheel, etc. [540+] – From this level upward, it is the domain of saints, advanced spiritual students, and healers. A capacity for enormous patience and the persistence of a positive attitude in the face of prolonged adversity is characteristic of this level. The hallmark of this state is Compassion. [540] – The calibration of the music of George Harrison, on an overall basis. Also the level of Socrates. [540-600] – This level of consciousness is reached after a person has a Near Death Experience, which are spiritually transformative and allowed individuals to quickly get to this level. At this level, the world seems illuminated by the beauty and perfection of creation. Everything happens effortlessly, by synchronicity, and the world and everything in it is seen to be an expression of love and divinity. A Presence is felt whose power facilitates phenomena outside conventional expectations of reality, and often termed ‘miraculous’ by the ordinary observer. The spiritual teachers in this level are the ones who have the most contact with significant numbers of people. At this level, joy leads many to become spiritual and inspirational teachers, healers, great artists, or even architects who create the great cathedrals that involve sacred geometry, great inspirational music, and the production of beauty in all its forms. Many major persuasions of Christianity including Roman Catholicism, Anglicanism, Christian Science, and many small denominations such as the Quakers calibrate on this level. [560] – Carl Jung was at this level. Sigmund Freud was below the level of 500 because of his denial of man’s spirituality, whereas Jung affirmed the spiritual nature of human beings. [575] – The level consciousness of ecstasy. [600]- A Course in Miracles (Workbook year of 365 days of lessons.) According to David Hawkins, ACIM calibrates around 600+, making it very factual, and quite enlightening. Here is what Hawkins says about the Bible: Quote: The Old Testament calibrates at only 190. However, Genesis is at 660, Psalms is 650, Proverbs is 350. If these are excluded then the remaining Old Testament calibrates at only 125. The New Testament calibrates at 640. However if Revelations were removed (calibrates at only 70) then the New Testament would calibrate at 790. The current bible calibrates at 475 as a whole. To make it authentically “Holy” as the title implies, it would have to exclude all of the books of the Old Testament (except Genesis, Psalms and Proverbs) and Revelations. If that were done, then the bible would be truly “Holy” and calibrate at over 740. Importantly, the Lamsa version of the bible (Translated from Aramaic, Jesus’ language) is more accurate than the King James Version (translated from Greek). It calibrates 20 points higher. If the Lamsa bible excluded the old testament (except Genesis, Psalms, Proverbs) and revelations it would calibrate at 810. If Revelations were removed from the Lamsa version of the New Testament, it would calibrate at a whopping 880. Society calibrates at 204 I think he said, with great minds on earth calibrating around 499-510 ranges. So at least according to Hawkins, ACIM is very important and highly relevant work. Hawkins own books calibrate from 850-999.5 ranges them, with 1000 being maximum for humanity – that is what Jesus was when he was walking the earth. Hawkins further says that in his calibration studies, students of ACIM at lesson 75 become “Immune” to negative stimuli. He says that this seems to be the critical point in the studies, but that they must be followed from 1-75 before it all really clicks for people. [600] – Peace – This level is associated with the experience designated by such terms as transcendence, Self-Realization, and Christ consciousness. It is extremely rare. Only 1 in 10,000,000 attain this at any given time. It is quite common that individuals at this level remove themselves from society, as the state of bliss that ensues precludes ordinary activity. Some become spiritual teachers; others work anonymously for the betterment of mankind. A few also become great geniuses in their respective fields and make major contributions to society. These individuals are saintly and may eventually be officially designated as such, although at this level, formal religion is commonly transcended and replaced by pure spirituality, from which religions originated. Bliss intervenes at this level and worldly activities stop, sometimes permanently. This level is also noted for the crossing over from the perceptual world of duality, to the perceptual world of Nonduality. Beyond this level, previous lives are easily remembered as well as the circumstances and significance of each life. One individual at this level counterbalances 10,000,000 below the level of 200. Perception at this level is reported as sometimes occurring in seemingly slow motion, suspended in time and space. Nothing is stationary and all is alive and radiant. Although this world is the same one that is seen by others, it has become continuously fluid, evolving in an exquisitely coordinated evolutionary dance in which significance and source are overwhelming. There is an infinite silence in the mind, which has stopped conceptualizing. Enlightenment is reached at levels 600 and higher. A Tibetan abbot once said that Peace is of the greatest importance in our world today. In the absence of peace, we lose what we have gained. In the presence of peace, all things are possible: love, compassion, and forgiveness. Peace is the source of all things. This is also the level of kinesiology. [605]- The level of the Kabbalah and Aurobindo. It is a set of esoteric teachings meant to explain the relationship between an eternal/mysterious Creator and the mortal/finite universe. [610] – The level of Lao Tzu and his teachings. [630] – The calibration of the phrase Om Namaha Shivaya. [640] – The King James Version of the New Testament. [650] – The Book of Psalms. Also the level of ‘I AM’ awareness and Awareness of the ‘I’ as being or is-ness. Also the level of “Shanti Shanti Shanti”. The Lord’s Prayer also calibrates on this level. [660] – The perception of the Self as simply Existence. [700-1000] – Self-Realization and Enlightenment – An individual at this level counterbalances the negativity of 70,000,000 individuals below the level of 200. This is also the level of Sages. The Self is seen as God Manifest. The Declaration of Independence resonates at this level. The Koran also resonates at this level, as it was written before the fall of Mohamed after he ‘took up the sword’. [700s] – The Aura emanating from individuals calibrating at this level has an attraction and an effect on visitors. They like to be near the presence of these individuals because they feel incredible inner peace. Serenity replaces fear and anxiety in those who are around individuals on this level. A typical statement given by a person on this level would be something like “There is no world to save; reality is just an illusion.” A statement such as this is not understandable to most at lower levels. [700] – The level of the phrase Om Mane Padme Hum [705] – The level of the Rig Veda [700+] – There are 22 sages on this planet who calibrate at this level or higher, according to Dr. Hawkins. Of those, 20 of them are at 800 or more, of whom there are 10 at or over 900, and one sage at 990. [740] – The mantra Om, as opposed to Aum, which is a serious alternation and is why it calibrates at the extremely low-level of 65. This is also the level of the New Testament, if the Book of Revelations is included. This is also the level of Mohamed at the time he wrote the Koran, before dropping to 130 after he ‘took up the sword’ at age 38. ‘I’ is seen as a total statement As the Ultimate Reality. [750] – Manifestation calibrates at this level. What appears to be change is the emergence of potentiality out of essence into manifestation. This is also the level of the Lamsa translation of the New Testament from Aramaic. [760] – Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi [780] – The Heart Sutra and the Lotus Sutra. [795] – Bodhidharma as well as the Zen teachings. [800] – Teacher of Enlightenment. [800s] – There is not much that is known about this level range. However, it is seen that salvation of all of humanity is a main priority and concern. [810] – The level of Ramayana [840] – The Self is seen as Beyond Existence or Nonexistence. [850] – The higher Self as Logos. This is also the level of Hinduism currently. Also the level of Void, Oneness, Nothingness, Reality as Consciousness, and Reality as Awareness. [855] – The level of Allness [890] – Hinayana Buddhism (lesser vehicle) and Zen Buddhism. [800s and 900s] – Salvation of humanity as a whole is of primary concern. Spiritual reality, essences, and understandings are of importance. Form and its details are irrelevant except as a necessary style for communication. Physical discomfort starts to increase quite visibly in these levels of consciousness. [900] – Buddhism was this level in the 6th century AD. The teachings of this particular religion have deteriorated less than any other religion. [910] – The Bhagavad-Gita [930] – the level of the esoteric teachings of Jesus Christ as of the 2nd century AD, some of which survived in the Gnostic texts. “After my departure there will arise the ignorant and the crafty, and many things will they ascribe unto Me that I never spake, and many things which I did speak will they withhold, but the day will come when the clouds shall be rolled away, and the Sun of Righteousness shall shine forth with healing in his wings.” ~Jesus, The Essene Gospel of Peace. [960] – Mahayana Buddhism (greater vehicle). Also the level of Huang Po (his book “Dharma of Mind Transmission” is at the level of the void 850, and was written before Po transcended to 960). [965] – The Buddha’s Law of Dependent Origination or Interdependent Co-Creation. [965] – Transcending the Levels of Consciousness, by David R. Hawkins [970] – The Upanishads The Upanishads -are Hindu scriptures that constitute the core teachings of Vedanta. The Upanishads have exerted an important influence on the Hindu philosophy and were collectively considered one of the 100 Most Influential Books Ever Written by the British poet Martin Seymour-Smith. [985] – This is the level of an Avatar. [990] – There is only one living sage at this level, according to Dr. Hawkins. [999] – The statement “There is no cause of anything” calibrates at this level. [1000] – This is the maximum energy level that can be tolerated by the human body and nervous system. It is the extremely rare level of avatars from ages past. No human has ever existed with a consciousness calibration higher than 1000. The archetypes Christ, Buddha, and Krishna are at this level. This state is also the existence of Buddhahood, Christ Consciousness, At-Oneness with the Source Manifest and Unmanifest. Beyond the human realm of consciousness possibility: [1000+] – Buddhahood, Brahman, Christ, Krishna, The ‘I’ of Ultimate Reality. Infinity – The Source of reality manifest as divinity. The supreme creation Source of consciousness eternal. The Source of all that is. Interesting Facts Concerning consciousness calibration, there are some very interesting facts. * Powerful patterns are associated with health; weak patterns are associated with sickness. Every thought, emotion, word & action has one pattern or the other. Every moment of our day we are either moving towards health or sickness. * Everything calibrates at certain levels from weak to high including books, food, water, clothes, people, animals, buildings, cars, movies, sports, music etc. * A good amount of the music today calibrates at levels below 200. Hence it leads to behavior associated with lower energy levels of consciousness. * Most movies will weaken people who watch them by bringing their energy levels down below the 200 level of consciousness. * 85% of the human race calibrates below the critical level of 200. * The power of the few individuals at the top counterbalances the weakness of the masses. o 1 individual at level 300 counterbalances 90,000 individuals below level 200 o 1 individual at level 400 counterbalances 400,000 individuals below level 200 o 1 individual at level 500 counterbalances 750,000 individuals below level 200 o 1 individual at level 600 counterbalances 10 million individuals below level 200 o 1 individual at level 700 counterbalances 70 million individuals below level 200 o 12 individuals at level 700 equal one Avatar (eg. Buddha, Jesus, Krishna) at level 1,000 * Any meaningful human satisfaction cannot even commence until the level of 250 where some degree of self-confidence begins to emerge. * When one’s consciousness falls below 200 at any given moment you start to lose power and thus grow weaker and more prone to be manipulated by one’s surroundings. * Parts of one’s life will calibrate at a higher level of consciousness while other parts will calibrate a lower levels. It’s the overall average that determines one’s consciousness. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ List of Books – muscle tested by D. 13. @Jayson G @Leo Gura Thanks. In the book Entheogenic Liberation: Unraveling the Enigma of Nonduality with 5-MeO-DMT Energetic Therapy (Paperback – July 29, 2017) by Dr. Martin W. Ball, Ph.D., (I actually spoke to him about what I was going through), I respect his work deeply. This is not meant to cast any disrespect toward his perspective in this space. However, he seems to reject any sense of story that we hold onto—meaning any process, ceremony, or preparation is, in his view, feeding the ego. His stance suggests that if we are preparing for a 5-MeO-DMT ceremony, we should not approach it with narratives that reinforce the ego, such as ritualistic preparation. That said, I do question the idea of cleansing the space and creating a container. Shamans in the jungle spend an enormous amount of time preparing their land, space, and moloka to ensure guests are as spiritually protected as possible. Frankly, I don't know how much of this translates to the realms that 5-MeO-DMT takes you to. But based on my findings over the past year, it seems that whenever you engage in something that allows your consciousness to— for lack of a better word—leave your body, it creates a kind of vacuum where things can enter. Honestly, this could all be fabricated, as I find my attraction to 5-MeO-DMT to be rooted in its purity. It seems to be the least encumbered by stories compared to other medicines. The shaman I sat with mentioned that he often has to clear a lot of stuff off people who return from the jungle. He also said that taking medicine or doing this kind of work in a busy city is equally dangerous. But I have to ask—and as part of my process, I’ll be doing a practitioner’s course—does anyone here practice preparation in terms of cleansing the space? Would love to hear your thoughts.
  14. The Metaphysics of Absolute Realism ~First Principle: Defining Reality~ Reality must be absolute. This is not merely an assumption but a necessity for the term to hold any meaning at all. If reality were not absolute—if it were instead relative, subjective, or dependent on individual perception—then it would cease to be reality in any meaningful sense. It would become a shifting, contradictory concept, incapable of providing a foundation for knowledge, reason, or action. To define reality as absolute is to affirm that there is something stable and independent of our perceptions. While individuals may interpret or experience reality differently, the existence of an underlying structure is inescapable. If reality were subjective, then conflicting realities could coexist—meaning something could be both true and false, existent and nonexistent, at the same time. Such contradictions collapse under their own weight. Words and concepts rely on consistency to function. If "reality" referred to something malleable and changing based on perspective, it would lose its coherence. To speak meaningfully about reality, we must recognize it as something distinct from perception—a framework within which perception occurs, but not something defined by it. This is not an abstract concern but a fundamental truth guiding all understanding. Science, logic, morality, and even the simple act of communication depend on an absolute reality. If reality were not absolute, then no knowledge could be established, no truth verified, and no decision made with any real consequence. Therefore, before we build any further philosophical structure, we must first affirm this foundation: Reality is absolute. Otherwise, it is not reality at all. ~Second Principle: Describing Reality~ Just as it is established that reality must be absolute in order to have meaning, we must now recognize that reality must be nondual for the same reason. Duality refers to the idea that there are two fundamental, distinct, and opposing principles that define existence. Common examples include: Mind vs. Matter Good vs. Evil Order vs. Chaos Subject vs. Object In any dualistic system, reality is composed of two separate things that interact but remain fundamentally distinct. This means that neither one is fully absolute, because each is defined in relation to the other. For example, “light” is only meaningful in contrast to “darkness.” Since we’ve established that reality is absolute, we must now ask: Can something absolute be dual? The answer is no, and here's why: Duality Implies Limitation — if reality were dual, then each part of the duality would be limited by the existence of the other. Consider the common duality of light and darkness. These two concepts are typically seen as opposites, yet they define each other by their relationship. Light only has meaning in contrast to darkness, and vice versa. If there were no darkness, there would be no need for light to be distinguished or understood. Likewise, without light, there could be no meaningful concept of darkness. In this way, light is limited because it is only defined in relation to darkness. Its existence depends on the presence of its opposite. Dualities like light/darkness, good/evil, or subject/object create a dynamic where each half is incomplete without the other. The two are intertwined and dependent on each other for meaning. Each side is limited by the fact that it must relate to the other. Neither side can be fully itself without its counterpart. Now, if we apply this logic to absolute reality, we see that something truly absolute cannot be defined by contrast. Absolute reality cannot be dependent on or limited by anything else. If reality were dual, it would need its opposite to define it, which would limit its completeness and independence. Duality implies limitation because the two parts of a duality are mutually defining, relying on each other to make sense. For something to be absolute, it must stand alone—independent, without needing another part to define its nature. This is why duality can’t fit within the concept of absolute reality. Duality Requires Relation — and the absolute is not relative. In order for there to be two fundamental things, they must be defined in relation to each other. But reality, being absolute, is not relative to anything. It simply is. Duality is the existence of two distinct, opposing, or complementary principles. To be dual means there are two entities or forces that define each other through their difference. These two parts, while distinct, rely on each other to create meaning. They cannot exist independently because they are defined by their relationship to each other. If we claim that reality is absolute, we are asserting that it is singular, unified, and independent. It cannot be split into parts that are dependent on one another for meaning or existence. But duality inherently relies on the relation between separate things, and that goes against the idea of absoluteness. If there are two distinct aspects of reality, they cannot be absolute because they rely on each other to be meaningful. Each side of the duality would be dependent on the existence of the other, implying that they are not self-contained or independent. This creates a paradox because absolute reality cannot depend on anything else for its existence. It simply is—complete and indivisible. Hence, dualities, which require relation and interdependence, cannot apply to an absolute reality. Let’s consider a simple example, like motion vs. rest. These are dualistic concepts. Motion is defined by the absence of rest. Rest is defined by the absence of motion. But in an absolute reality, if it were ever to truly exist in a state of complete "rest" (no movement at all), there would be no need for the concept of motion. Similarly, if everything were in motion, rest would have no meaning. The two depend on each other to even exist as ideas. This interdependence shows how duality is rooted in a relational framework. A Truly Dual Reality Would Mean Two Realities, Which is Contradictory — If reality consisted of two fundamental, independent things, then neither would be the whole of reality and each would only be part of it. This means there would be something greater than both that unifies them, making the two parts not fundamental after all. When we say that duality involves two realities, we're speaking about the fundamental separation of the two components that make up the whole. In dualistic systems, the two parts are distinct from each other and define each other through contrast. This separation leads to the idea that reality, as a whole, isn’t a singular entity but is instead made up of two co-existing but distinct elements. Descartes argued that reality is composed of two separate substances: the mind (non-material, thinking) and matter (material, extended). These two substances are distinct, meaning that they don’t merge into a single unified reality but exist independently. Now, this creates an issue: if reality is fundamentally divided into two separate substances (like mind and matter), then each of these substances must have its own independent existence to maintain their distinction. That’s where the concept of "two realities" comes in: Mind as one reality—a non-material, thinking realm. Matter as another reality—a physical, material realm. For Descartes, these two "realities" interact, but they are still distinct from each other. Each one exists on its own terms, with its own nature, and they only come into contact through specific interactions. Why Does This Imply Two Realities? In a dualistic system, the fact that the two substances (or principles) are distinct means that each exists on its own terms. They are not unified into one absolute reality but are separate. Therefore, what we're dealing with is two fundamental aspects of reality that could, in theory, exist separately from one another. If both mind and matter are considered to be fully real and separate from each other, we now have two coexisting realities: One that exists in the realm of thought and consciousness (mind). One that exists in the realm of physical existence (matter). These two realities are not unified into one absolute, indivisible reality—they are simply two aspects of an overarching system, but not a system that can be described as a unified whole. This is why we refer to it as “two realities” rather than just one. In Contrast: The Nondual Absolute Reality Now, if reality is absolute then it couldn't be divided into two distinct realities because: An absolute reality is all-encompassing — it must be unified, complete, and indivisible. If we divide it into two realities, we’re implying that neither reality is whole on its own; they each need the other to define their existence. But if reality is truly absolute, there must be no dependence on something else to define it. Duality creates an inherent contradiction—since each "reality" would need to be independent, the very notion of "reality" becomes fractured and inconsistent, because there would be no underlying unity to connect the two. Therefore, in order to have a true reality, one that is truly absolute, it must be described as nondual: any apparent duality must be secondary, arising within the one absolute reality rather than being fundamental to it. Reality must be nondual otherwise it ceases to be absolute and thusly ceases to be reality at all. ~Third Principle: Determining Reality~ The fundamental question in philosophy concerns the identity of reality itself. What is reality? What is its true nature and essence? The goal is to uncover this true identity — the very foundation of all that exists. This inquiry aims to determine the identity of reality and understand its true essence. A significant problem arises when considering the nature of reality: If reality is defined as absolute and described as nondual, why does the experience of separation persist in everyday life? Individuals perceive themselves as distinct entities, separate from one another and the world. This apparent separation contradicts the concept of reality as absolute and nondual, creating a paradox. How can the nondual nature of reality coexist with the perception of fragmentation and individual selves? This is the central problem to address. The source of this paradox lies in consciousness — the faculty of experience. Consciousness generates the illusion of separation by presenting experiences as distinct and individual. Through consciousness, individuals perceive themselves as separate from the world around them, the appearance of separation is emphasized, obscuring the deeper interconnectedness of all things. Therefore, consciousness is responsible for the appearance of separation, leaving almost no clue into the underlying unity. Given this paradox, it becomes evident that there is a need for a fundamental uniting principle that transcends the appearance of separation. This unifying principle must connect all things in the deepest sense and resolve the fragmentation caused by consciousnesses. The search is for a uniting principle that bridges the gap between the perception of separation and the true nature of nonduality. The Uniting Principle In the search for this uniting principle, awareness emerges as a key concept. Awareness is the capacity to know — the essential foundation that makes all experience possible. Awareness is not bound to individual consciousnesses but is a universal presence that underlies all knowing. It is the constant capacity for knowing that transcends individual boundaries and connects all experiences. Because awareness is universal, it connects all beings and all experiences. It is not localized to any particular individual or form but exists as the foundational capacity for knowing that transcends distinctions. This universality makes awareness a natural candidate for the uniting principle of reality. While awareness is nondual in nature, it remains passive. Awareness simply exists as the capacity to know. It does not actively direct itself; it is the background condition for knowing to occur. Awareness, although foundational to all experience, does not explain the dynamic nature of existence. As a passive, unmanifested presence, awareness alone cannot be the ultimate identity of reality. It is, however, a necessary condition for experience to arise. To understand what drives awareness, the concept of caring is introduced. Caring is the active force that directs awareness — the impetus for awareness to focus on something. Without caring, awareness would have no object to focus on, and thus no reason to direct itself. Caring provides the motivation for awareness, giving it direction and purpose. Without caring, awareness would remain passive and undirected, without any manifestation of experience. Caring is the necessary condition for awareness to be realized as a directed force. It is through caring that awareness becomes active, manifesting as attention and focu Caring and awareness are inherently inseparable. The existence of one requires the existence of the other. Without awareness, there is nothing to care for, and without caring, there would be no reason for awareness to exist. Together, caring and awareness form the foundation of all experience, and they are two aspects of a single, nondual essence. This inseparability reveals that the experience of separation is ultimately illusory. The fundamental reality is the unity of caring and awareness, an essence that connects all things and transcends any apparent differences. The Identity of Reality At this stage, it becomes clear that caring and awareness are not separate forces but rather two aspects of the same essence. This essence is identified as Spirit. Spirit represents the nondual essence that encompasses both caring and awareness. It is the active principle of caring and the passive capacity of awareness, united in a single, indivisible being. Spirit is the underlying beingness that animates reality, the source from which all things arise. It is the true identity of reality — the foundation of all existence. The term Spirit has long been used to describe the immaterial essence that animates and connects all life. In this context, Spirit represents the nondual essence of both caring and awareness, the unifying principle that transcends all separation. Conclusion Through philosophical inquiry, it is now evident that the true identity of reality is Spirit — the nondual essence of both caring and awareness. This identity resolves the paradox of separation, as Spirit is the fundamental unifying principle that connects all things in reality. The identity of Spirit is consistent with the first two principles: Reality must be absolute, and Spirit is absolute in its nature, encompassing all experience. Reality is nondual, and Spirit is nondual, transcending any sense of separation. Thus, the true identity of reality is Spirit, and through this understanding, the appearance of separation is reconciled with the ultimate, unified essence of all that exists.
  15. Christianity is a massive trap. I mean it's a good thing for many many many people like h addicts and stuff...or people who literally can't govern themselves without dipping into chaos or destruction. It's a very good dumb handle to hold onto if the only other option is destination-fucked, but the same person could easily use Buddhism to hold onto and would be probably better off. A lot closer. I was born and raised into Christianity and studied it at incredible depths as a child and young adult. Honestly I love it, but only because I'm skilled enough to know how to interpret it. It lead to a lot of problems in my life. My family didn't have any real world help, all they were taught was "sing to jesus" and you'll go to heaven...which resulted in mass chaos and pain in my family. The real world requires a real religion. A religion that is wayyyyyyy more intelligent, powerful and accurate. A religion that is so powerful that it isint even a religion. I am so fucking glad nonduality and mysticism and enlightenment is real, I'd be fucked otherwise lol. It's a dream come true. When I discovered this...I screamed. Bonus notes: You can check out the books of the apocrypha (catholic scriptures removed by Protestantism), the lost books of eden and Mormonism. Mormonism is interesting. They have a saying: as man is, God once was, as God is, man can become. They also are led by their intuition by something they call "the burning in the belly" or some shit. Also some of the gifts of the holy ghost are legit like prophecy, word of knowledge, word of wisdom and I think speaking in tongues is legit. But it's all subject to massive interpretational inaccuracies, so yeah. Also if you need some Christian half mystic info check out mooji and Andrew wommack. But be warned, wommacks material is highly deluded. Take it with 100 pinches of salt.
  16. No it isn't. I grew up without any religion and it was the best gift I could have received from the universe. Why do you think my mind is so free? Because it was never corrupted by an human religion. Christianity is child abuse. If evil was actually real, Christianity would be it. That's even worse. This is pure devilry. I know. And I'm saying this is self-deception and corruption. It is absolutely textbook idolatry. Jesus is no more God than a dog is. Worshipping a dog is idol worship. Worshipping Jesus is idol worship. Christians are so deluded that they don't even understand they are doing idol worship. Christianity is a corruption of Judaism. No. The key difference is that I show you guys and force you guys to contemplate and question everything. No one in the world shows you how to question reality more than me. THAT is the proof of the goodness of my teachings. I even force you to doubt nonduality. I even force you to realize I am your own imagination. I even force you to doubt enlightenment. Of course if you ever start to worship me you would have violated everything I ever taught. So that mistake is on you.
  17. Just want to say I love you man. Check out this lovely trip report posted today which touches on what you are moving towards: https://www.reddit.com/r/nonduality/comments/1ja8gr4/i_smoked_bufo_alvarius_5meodmt_died_and_came_back/
  18. That's not what I meant. I was trying to analyze and nuance the Tolle spirituality and revealing what in my opinion is a mistake, Tolle has a huge influence on current nonduality. I'd say it's key. Anyway, you don't need to take it like personal, it's a conversation to understand not to win. Sorry if I talk too aggressive about Tolle, I think that his intentions are honest and his message is very useful, I'm talking about his wrong side if you want to totally open yourself . But probably Tolle did more for human spiritual evolution than anyone else alive nowadays Understand that when you see that you have to overcome a barrier you have to break it.
  19. What I mean is that It's not limited; it's essentially wrong. You said above that all spiritual traditions speak of transcending the ego. Let's see, traditions like Buddhism or Hinduism like the Bahavad Gita speak of dissolving the ego barrier to open your consciousness to the unlimited, to the non-self in Buddhism and to Brahman in Hinduism. This is not the same as what Tolle and nonduality say. They say that only the now is real, therefore the ego is not real. This makes no sense because the ego is something that is happening now. Tolle and nonduality tell you to be like an animal, without ego, only sensory perception and instinct, but you are not that. It's a frustrating philosophy that never works. Totally dissolving the social capsule of the ego during certain moments is essential to accessing the realization of your true nature, but you cannot completely transcend the ego, since you would cease to be human and this is impossible; you would be self-repressing an essential part of yourself. The part that communicates, that establishes emotional bonds, that projects, and that modifies reality, and all this implies suffering in more or less extent. Why would you want to do this? To avoid suffering? It's like saying that to avoid having sex, you amputate your genitals. Can you be more egotistical than someone trying to kill their ego? That's the question. Ultimately, I believe that Tolle's philosophy and nonduality are essentially limiting and toxic because they deny the human nature. I would say that anyone who believes in his philosophy and tries to put it into practice will end up frustrated, confused and unhappy. And over all, the most important: closed to the possibility of opening themselves to the absolute. No one of them would get it, because their philosophy closes. The real thing is when you realize that the ego, the external material world, and your true nature are interconnected, completely synchronized, are one. Trying to transcend your ego only locks you into a capsule. True spirituality, as I see it, isn't about transcending, it's about expanding. The ego isn't something you can transcend; it's impossible. You can repress it and thereby isolate yourself further, or you can expand it and realize that your ego is the reality.
  20. The problem with Tolle's message is that it tells you: Right now, at this exact moment, are you in pain, or is something bad happening to you? Not true? So why are you suffering? This is a recurring message in nonduality. The answer would be: You're suffering by mistake; you shouldn't be suffering, since nothing hurts. From this message, it follows that the ego, the mental matrix, is something unreal, and what's real is the body, which can hurt. This is absolutely false; the mental matrix is exactly as real as the body and hurts just as much as the body does. A zebra doesn't have this mental matrix, therefore it doesn't hurt, but a human does. When Tolle says: Look at the crazy things humans have done for something unreal, like the nation! It's something that doesn't exist, and people kill for it. Well, we could say: Look how crazy the crocodiles are, obsessed with eating so they don't die of hunger, when the body doesn't really exist; it's a collection of atoms that will disintegrate sooner or later. Tolle doesn't understand that the mental matrix is a real energetic structure, as real as the body. A new dimension of existence that is evolving at a pace several orders of magnitude faster than the physical. That it isn't something tangible and physical doesn't make it any less real. Tolle and nonduality deny this reality, and that's why they're false philosophies. Not intentionally false, but fundamentally wrong, they propagate a comforting but ultimately false spirituality that doesn't resolve, only numbs, like a drug.
  21. @Breakingthewall You make a reasonable case. One oversight of simpleton nonduality teachings is that they regard ego as purely an illusion with no reality and no purpose or utility. This is clearly wrong. There is good to be recovered from ego. Like the ego's ambition to have impact in the world. And the ego's handling of material survival needs. But this is not hard to make compatible with Tolle's work.
  22. My Philosophy ... Introduction to Absolute Realism The End of Abstraction in Philosophy A Manifesto on Nonduality and Direct Reality Philosophy has long been dominated by abstraction — conceptual frameworks that impose distinctions onto reality rather than revealing it as it is. Absolute Realism is a philosophical framework that begins where all others falter: At the direct recognition that reality is nondual and self-evident. It asserts that all division subject and object, thought and thinker, perception and perceiver, is an illusion introduced by abstraction and not by reality itself. This work lays the foundation for Absolute Realism and establishes why it must replace all conceptual and speculative philosophies. The Failure of Traditional Philosophy Since the beginning of philosophy, thinkers have attempted to grasp reality by constructing Systems of Thought — rationalism, empiricism, idealism, materialism, and so on. Yet, all these systems share a fundamental flaw: they introduce duality where none exists. Rationalism assumes that knowledge is built upon concepts, yet concepts themselves are not reality. Empiricism assumes a separation between the observer and the observed, yet this separation is merely a conceptual distinction and is not something found in direct experience. Metaphysical Realism assumes an external world, apart from perception, yet this assumption itself is never directly found — only posited. (The list goes on) Absolute Realism rejects all these approaches by insisting that philosophy must begin and end with direct reality itself, free from interpretation, abstraction or conceptual mediation. The First Principle: Nonduality The primary axiom — or, rather, the only possible foundation — of Absolute Realism is nonduality: Reality is indivisible, and all dualities are imposed by abstraction rather than being inherent to what is. This means that: There is no gap between a thing and the means of its existence (how it exists). There is no separation between perception and perceiver, thought and thinker, experience and experiencer. All attempts to divide reality into subject vs. object, identity vs. other, mind vs. matter, are not found in reality itself — these are composed by abstract thinking. Illustrations of Nonduality To see how nonduality is self-evident, consider the following: The dancer and the dance — is the dance separate from the dancer; is the dancer apart from the movement the dance? The singer and the song — is the song separate from the singer; is the singer apart from the melody of the song? The fighters and the fight — where does one end and the other begin? These distinctions appear only when abstraction tries to separate them. However, it is always clear in the moment of direct experience that they are one. The Rejection of Conceptual Philosophy If all distinctions are imposed rather than real, then any philosophy that begins with definitions, categories, or logical structures is already in error. This means: All conceptual frameworks are distortions. All speculative metaphysics is meaningless. All systems of thought that rely on dualities must be abandoned. A perfect philosophy does not construct — it recognises. Absolute Realism does not seek to build a theory but to reveal what is already undeniably real. Knowledge as Direct Recognition, Not Construction Because reality is nondual, knowledge is not something that is built step by step, nor is it something that can be grasped as an external object. Knowledge is direct awareness of reality itself. To know reality is not to determine and define it, but to recognise it. To know the truth is not to analyse it, but to see how it is self-evident. All indirect knowledge is subject to interpretation and thus is not absolute. Implications of Absolute Realism The End of Speculative Philosophy. All theories that rely on assumed divisions must be discarded. A New Approach to Truth. Truth is not something external to be sought; it is self-evident when abstraction is removed. The Dissolution of Duality in Thought. All knowledge that depends on separation is inherently false. The only real knowledge is unity. Conclusion: The Only Real Philosophy Absolute Realism is not a theory — it is the principle of direct realisation of what is as is. Any philosophy that does not begin with reality itself is, free from conceptual division, is already a lost abstraction. The task ahead is clear: Philosophy must abandon all conceptual dualities. Truth must be recognised, not constructed. Reality must be understood as indivisible, direct, and whole. Only when we discard abstraction can we finally see what has always been real. This is the principle of direct realisation.
  23. @Rising Spirit Love that! I really want to be as clear and concise as possible as I am well aware of the difficulty for some to comprehend nonduality. A "provocative invitation" -I love that, anything more than that seems almost impossible for a little 45 minute talk.
  24. In all honesty, my spiritual journey actually began as a boy. An accidental near-drowning gave me a NDE and an OBE that changed my views forever. Granted, as viewed from a child's perspective. But after imbibing LSD in 1977, I learned the power and illumination of sacred medicines. This naturally, led to my fascination for Yogic philosophy and practices. Yes, to this day I credit psychedelics with giving me a taste of Samadhi. But honoring the spiritual paths and bringing their teachings into my day-to-day existence has become secondary nature. And when speaking before an assemblage as you will be, my advice is to be as clear and concise as possible. Few lay persons can comprehend nonduality nor the living Spiritus, given their proclivity towards factual reasoning. Therefore, it's best to present your talk as not neccussarily being a "sermon" rather, a provocative invitation and as succinctly as you can. I feel that there is a definite science to enlightenment/ spiritual awakening and as such, there is a lot of ground to cover. Play it as rooted and clear headed as you can. Namaste 🙏
  25. @Leo Gura This is the music I'm sure you've been looking for, as I was. This is the music you were talking about in this Blog Post about Metaphysical Music. I reccommend you to listen to the album "Utopia" by the artist Björk, here's a link to the full album. It is very experimental and avant-garde, and it is themed around a utopian isalnd in the sky with mutated birds and plants and people. The sounds sound design is very extra terrestial and phsyical. The majority of the lyrics (make sure to read them while listening) are about topics like metaphysics, universal love, submission to the universe, God (even though not explicitly), consciousness, and spirituality. In terms of content and sound it's the most directly spiritual, metaphysical and transcendental music or piece of art I've ever consumed (and therefore my favorite). I never wrote a blog post before but I did for this because everytime I listen to Utopia I think of all the nondual teachings and about your channel. I know music is not your main thing, but I know your content and nonduality very well and I can assure you with 100% certainty that if you take one hour of your day to listen to it you will be shocked at this music. My favorite songs from it that showcase what I described are "The Gate", "Utopia", "Body Memory", "Claimstaker", "Saint", and "Future Forever".Thats it from me, it would be nice if you let me know what you think of it in case you do listen to it.
