Also I've figured out what the theory of incarcation in Hinduism is. The theory of reincarnation from Hinduism is not some supernatural force. It is, in fact, the environment that shapes us. I realized this when I read about neuroscience and holistic healing. Our sense of self is created in relation to our surrounding environment during the first two years of life. If the environment beats us, abuses us, or ignores us, we draw incorrect conclusions about ourselves. Anyone who had the same environment as Buddha and Jesus, would have turned out just like Buddha and Jesus. Reincarnations are nothing more than people who had environments similar to Buddha and Jesus because Buddha and Jesus were created by their surroundings, not by some divine force. That's why, from my perspective, solipsism is madness, because you were shaped by the environment. Suffering is the key to spiritual enlightenment. When you suffer, you start asking questions, and the more you suffer, the wiser you become. The will of Buddha and Jesus was for us to love one another. I wonder if anyone could tell me what reincarnation looks like from the non-dual perspective. The idea that one's soul keeps coming back to earth to evolve to 'higher' forms of beings finds some resistance in me (from cat to horse to human, etc). Could anyone help me out here? Thanks!

If we assume there are endless reincarnations prior to this one, some time sooner or later it would’ve happened that I ended the cycle, but since I’m here it “proves” it didn’t happen so can’t happen ”no reincarnation to happen for you within this lifetime” so only skipping the next reincarnation or no reincarnations EVER? Or you mean you could end the cycle, but then sooner or later in all of eternity the cycle restarts once again? Explaining why I’m here now

You have to realize it as an Individual (you could have been a rose or an ant a thousand times over), in Your previous incarnations You didn't so You came back to do so, probably because You are on this forum and interested in Spirituality as You are, then it means somewhere along the way it touched You in someway, as well Karma is at play, things have happened, actions and reactions have taken place, cause/effect and the residual consequence of it all is happening in this lifetime for You, this has to be worked out plus the new karma that is created by whatever moment to moment reaction You are having, so its complex, there is a process to make this all clear up and no reincarnation to happen for you within this lifetime but that takes more commitment and dedication..

They're usually not. 99% of self-proclaimed truth-seekers (even on this forum) are just larping. They don the aesthetic of "truth-seeker" simply for the existential comfort and security that this identity provides. Real truth-seeking is like drowning naked in the middle of the Atlantic ocean at night with unseen creatures of the dark lurking beneath you, and no humans, no land, no warmth, no light to grasp onto. And then willingly plunging deeper into that lonely, vulnerable, cold without any guarantee of ever coming back... only then is the REAL light revealed, but you can easily tell that none of these folks would dare go there. Their whole ""global awakening"" is a cute fiction on stilts to avoid the real abyss - and thus the real love and light eludes them. The self wants whatever it wants whenever it wants it. Pleasure, joy, safety, comfort, pain, sorrow, fear, challenge, good, bad, tall, short, fat, skinny, meaning, nonsense. It wants reality to obey its every whim. ? Alternately, the self’s primary drive/want/desire may be its own survival. This may entail the survival of the ‘host’ organism’s body. But the self doesn’t stop there, it posits its own continued survival *after* the death of the body: reincarnation, afterlife, eternal being. ?

I'm wondering if there is some sort of order to life and death, to reincarnation. If one keeps evolving their consciousness throughout this lifetime but doesn't become enlightened, is that then stored for the next time round? Also, I believe Krishna consciousness teaches that if you love eating pork in this life, you will become a pig in the next sort of thing. Along with living through 8.4 million (or billion?) different species. Just a thought.

What he said in the monkey torture video thread was the last straw; the fact that you simply have to accept that you will go through all kinds of torture for eternity just for the sake of it, its simply unnacceptable to me that this is the best idea that God has and that reality is this way. Theres no rhyme or reason about it. Im already suicidal and if there is no consequence to my action in the eternal sense, which is the case if there is just infinite reincarnation, there is absolutely no reason not to kill myself right now, maybe there will be some karma but that means absolutely nothing if you will just be reincarnating forever as everything imaginable anyway. Basic personal development is also pretty much over for me due to health issues, i cant date or socialize for the most part, which is the biggest driver of my nihilism and suicidal ideation. I simply can't fathom the fact i have to suffer all this bullshit for absolutely no reason, if there is infinite reincarnation there is absolutely no meaning to any of your suffering or anything at all, including any awakening, since you are bound to fall asleep again, also there is an infinite depth to awakening that can never be reached, I mean Leo claimed to have had the deepest awakening 5 years ago, which he now dismisses as "human", even though he claimed in that awakening he transcended all notions of being human etc. Why should we believe this alien stuff is the final station now? It made me realize i fell into the trap of believing his stuff, when , it is all super contradictiory, another example of this is that in the 30 day 5meo video he said that in his final days of tripping he discovered a "2nd dimension" of awakening, what is that even supposed to mean, he never even mentioned it after that video, when you would think such a thing would be absolutely massive in consequence to metaphysics. It all just feels very snake oily looking back on it. Hence I will soon be converting to Islam, it makes the most sense to adapt that worldview, precisely because as humans we know nothing, but realize the infinite potential of reality and the eternity of the soul, if you only know those things Islam makes the most sense imo, it also makes sense of the suffering since this life is seen as a test, to eventually potentially make you reach infinite liberation and redemption of your manhood. I can also place my fear of hell in the worldview and work with it, it just feels natural to me. Im still blessed to be priviliged to be in university and have a great chance of getting a remote job that i can work with my health conditions, so i can probably get some nice income and move somewhere where theres a sufi order and live the sufi life, give most of my income to the poor and just live a life of worship and meditations. I have in my past ruminated and felt scared about the idea of eternal reincarnation and that entailing I will experience everything that is possible to experience including torture. I think eternal reincarnation is more probable than eternal punishment. It’s just a tad bit less worse, because it includes all the good stuff too.
