How to be wise replied to Loveeee's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Leo Gura There is no such thing as ‘true from a certain point of view.’ Something is either true or not. What you said about us reincarnating into every living thing is simply false. I know you don’t like to admit when you’re wrong, but this is very obvious to anyone who has experienced enlightenment. -

Why can’t you just say that you were wrong? You were at the time only a beginner in enlightenment work and you made a huge blunder. Maybe you should think about taking this video down. If you took down your truest ever video, why can’t you take down the most misleading one? -
The problem here is that in order to create something you have to be willing to endure a lot of discomfort, but why would you endure discomfort for the sake of an illusion? It really doesn’t make any sense. I really don’t think anyone would go through discomfort without taking what they are doing literally and believing it is actually real.

How about somebody who made a video series called How to get laid?
-
I’m pretty sure that most pickup artists are doing it only for sex
-
I really believe that if you are enlightened, you will only do easy things. If something is difficult, it requires a lot of motivation, which usually comes from ego. I highly doubt somebody who is aware of the illusory nature of reality is going to be motivated enough to do something ambitious.

I thought two dates per month was terrible performance, thank you for making me feel better I am using hinge though

@Joseph Maynor good to see you back, my friend. It's been many years since I last saw you here. -
I’ve definitely noticed memory problems since I started meditating. I used to remember everything, now I can’t remember what happened yesterday.

@Leo Gura Alex O’Connor recently had Bernard Kastrup on. Don’t you think you would do a better job explaining consciousness to him? It seems Alex is relatively more open-minded than other atheist YouTubers.

Was she the one from 10 years ago?

@zurew I'm not opposed to helping others. What I don't get is, how can you strive in a dream that you are aware is a dream! For most people, it would suck the motivation right out of them.
-
The point is, can you work 60 hours a week and at the same time be aware that you are hallucinating this reality
-
I haven’t really brought that point up, but I love how we have taken as dogma that Buddha and Jesus were enlightened. It seems to be the religion of this forum. I have not seen strong evidence that either of them (especially Jesus) were enlightened to the Solipsistic nature of reality.

Do you really think that someone can run for president without losing awareness that they are in a dream? It would be the first time it happened in human history.
