The mediocrity of the average person is horrifying
The mediocrity of the average person is horrifyingOf course. But that is beside the point.
Ambition is existentially an illusion.

The mediocrity of the average person is horrifying
The mediocrity of the average person is horrifyingFor a complex world to function there needs to be an extreme range of development levels in order to service all the different needs that form society / your world. God may allow for that vast and differentiated range by genetic means and by development of the psyche once in the world, particularly in childhood
Why do so many do so little, with low ambition? Is it because society needs only a few good ideas at a time, but lots of labour? Maybe because 'being' has such an enjoyable component all of its own. TikTok, drinking wine and gossiping are a kind of being too.
Being is all there is because the present moment is all there is and so being has to be imbued with a certain level of innate enjoyment or life wouldn't be worth it, would be too much of a grind no matter what you achieved, because the present moment is all that exists. However, for mankind (or you, if we're solipsistic) to progress there need to exist those who cannot just be, like Elon perhaps , but we know that those who take away the trash or arrest the bad folks are equally as necessary and so that range of different minds must exist, but then slavery can exist.

The mediocrity of the average person is horrifying
The mediocrity of the average person is horrifyingYes! Yes! Of course.
Ambition is rare. Most people have none and live like conformist zombies.
However, there is a next-level mindfuck here for you. It comes when you eventually realize that these mediocre people were right. Ambition is an illusion. All your striving, and in the end you will never achieve more than just sitting and being, which you could have done from day one. Ambition is awesome, but also a giant illusion at the end of road.
Look at Elon Musk. He his horny to go to Mars. But eventually he will discover it is a completely hollow goal. There is nothing to do on Mars once you are there. It is no better than scrolling through TikTok. Except TiKTok doesn't have you working yourself to death for an empty goal.

How to increase pranayama count?
How to increase pranayama count? For the same reason I would still take a psychedelic even after I've realized God. You can always discover deeper aspects of God through tripping or meditation.
Also, yoga puts you into blissful states of samadhi. They may like basking in those states. That's what yogis are known to do! If you're gonna be a yogi, you might as well bliss out when you can. It's really no different than taking a psychedelic to unite with God, just done manually.

How to increase pranayama count?
How to increase pranayama count?I do pranayama instead of meditation.
And I still meditate but it is informally.
And I will still do hardcore meditation retreats. I just don't do regular daily meditation because I find it ineffective for my type of mind.
Pranayama is way more potent than meditation.
I disagree with the abidance thing. The point is pranayama to rewire the brain. That is key, otherwise yoga would be nothing more than meditation.
If I want to do abiding, I will just do meditation. Pranayama is needed to rewire the physical brain. That is what I focus on. Abiding is nice but don't waste too much time on it early on. That time should be used for more pranayama.
However, after you do years of pranayama and it rewires your brain, then you naturally do more abiding. Pranayama is needed to do effective abiding, otherwise you are just abiding in monkey mind, which is useless.
The first few years I would not worry about abiding at all. Laser focus on more and more pranayamas. You want to get a few tens of thousands pranayama under your belt first before you optimize anything else. Build that foundation. Then expand your practice.

Science Podcast Appearance Coming Soon
Science Podcast Appearance Coming SoonI cannot be as bold in interviews as I am in my normal videos. This would freak normies out. I need to be more chill and gentle, otherwise people will just dismiss me as a crackpot.
The tone is crucial. People judge interviews by tone, not logical content. An unhinged tone is suicide. So I worked a lot on softening my tone.

Leo's Blog Discussion Mega-Thread
Leo's Blog Discussion Mega-ThreadIt is hard to behave online. I empathize with this. Because our moods are sometimes up or down and we can post 24/7. Sometimes I'm in a weird mood and post weird stuff that I would not normally post in a more sober state of mind. But since I have access to the forum 24/7, posting is too easy, so regrettable stuff sometimes gets posted.

Leo, why did you say that?
Leo, why did you say that?Lol.
Obviously only if she is on birth control and/or you are okay with kids.
I was speaking from the POV of what makes women fall in love with you. From that POV it is true. There are serious consequences to making a woman fall in love with you. If you can't handle that, don't make them fall in love with you. Love is serious business, not a cheap toy.

Leo's Blog Discussion Mega-Thread
Leo's Blog Discussion Mega-ThreadYes, that is why I am forced into it. Because I have a responsibility to keep this place high quality. So I have to ban unhinged people who can't help stir up drama and toxicity. Otherwise this place would turn into constant drama and toxicity and all the good people would quit. I have to make this place for good people.

Leo's Blog Discussion Mega-Thread
Leo's Blog Discussion Mega-ThreadI was expecting that answer. In the Discord/ social media comment section format they behave even worse, liking each other's brainrot comments. Basically you cannot say anything unorthodox without being bullied by the orthodox status quo.

How to increase pranayama count?
How to increase pranayama count?Gamana.
Is easy to follow and direct.
Stevens is overly complicated and needs to be pruned down to the core essentials. But I like his way of visualizing the prana flowing up the spine. This is key in my opinion.

How to increase pranayama count?
How to increase pranayama count?Just by feel.
30-60 minutes of pranayama is a good number.
You can start with that and if you start to feel too much energy getting activated you can cut it in half.
You should be doing at least 60 mins of pranayama daily. Ideally 90 mins.
I do it in batches of 36 per session. 2 sessions per day. This takes me about 35 mins per session. Do more if you can take the heat. Do less if you can't.
Ideally you want to do as many pranayama as possible. Old school gurus would assign 8 hours of pranayama per day to their most serious students.
The more pranayama you do the sooner you will reach God.
Think of it like this: you need something like 100,000-300,000 pranayama to reach liberation. This is a very loose number but you get the idea. If you only do 12/day you will die before you reach it. If you do 100/day you can reach it in 3 years.
How soon do you want to meet God? Up to you.

Stay Away From Idiots
Stay Away From IdiotsWhy wouldn't you teach English/Greek online?
That's what's been feeding me for the last few years. After learning sales and marketing, I now earn around $2500 per month working 3 hours per day on average, and only procrastination has kept me from progressing further.
I know plenty of people who tutor on platforms like Preply and Wyzant. It's absolutely possible to make a living that way. Even though, you will have to put in hours of work.
Whatever doubts you may have about it, ignore them. It just works. Period.
I used to sling weed on the streets of Prague before while staying there completely illegally, with no visa. I got deported back to Russia some time after. So I feel you and know what struggle is. My heart goes out to you. You got it man.

I had an insight.
I had an insight.I was watching YouTube. Particularly- Leo's video The psychology of being wrong and many other recommended videos of different people on self -improvement videos were below as I scrolled past Leo's video .People were sharing their opinions. I saw a video recommendation of a 42 year old jobless, unmarried person. Even though I didn't watched that video I had an insight - People have widely different lives.
All my life up until 25 I was living under the assumption that people are equal their lives are equal only I have problems which nobody understands. However , it caused a shift of 180 degree in my perspective that no two people have same lives.
I know it sounds simple but it's still powerful.

20 Year Old Millionaire BS
20 Year Old Millionaire BSSociety gives great voice to those young millionaires who promote the idea that everyone can make it. Classic survivorship bias. Also, there's the constant anxiety that time is running out and the window of opportunity is closing, this causes unnecessary stress.
I was part of a start-up for a while but the very idea that we might get funding and start full time on a project that has little propspects of success caused me so much stress that it was unbearable.

Goodbye Forum
Goodbye ForumGoodbye forum!
I am cleaning house a bit as I enter 2026 and I want to clear away things which I am deeming a distraction. This forum is really too playful and casual for me now and I will reclaim this time for serious work on my life, or spending time with family and friends, etc.
If you see my account banned it's because I've requested to do so.
It has been a lot of fun, and I enjoyed being a Mod in the past too. Thanks to those who supported me when I was down, for the debates, for the deep discussions or shared insights.
Wishing you all a great New Year of growth, awakening and success.

God's plan is a crock of shit
God's plan is a crock of shitWhat you are expressing here is a personal hurt.
I understand you are hurt, but please be careful not to project that negativity onto God. This is for your own sake, otherwise you will lose yourself in a pit of self-constructed negativity.
Good things happen when you work to create good.
Good doesn't just grow on trees. Unless you are a monkey.
You are expressing fantasies of how reality ought to be. Instead you should fall in love with reality as it is. Evil is not conquered with wishing it didn't exist. It is conquered with deep acceptance and love.

What Do You Regret You Didn`t Do In Your Youth?
What Do You Regret You Didn`t Do In Your Youth?Haha!
That was the most unhinged I've ever been in public. They were about to call the police on me.
The dentist kept ordering a crown and the shape kept being wrong, so after about 3 rounds of that he didn't want to try any more and didn't want to refund my money, and when I was trying to discuss the issue with him, he walked away from me and locked himself in his office. So I had to go and bang his office door with my fist.
That dentist office got a rude awakening and quickly refunded my money. But they made me sign a paper that I am never allowed in their office again nor sue them. I happily signed and walked away with my check.
I feel your pain man. Getting a good crown/implant is surprisingly hard. Very hit or miss. You gotta get lucky. The problem is crowns are done my remote labs who don't know the shape of your teeth exactly. So they ballpark it too much and miss the shape and color.
The reason I beat down his door was to develop my backbone. It was a personal development exercise for me, since I never do that sort of thing. I figured, now or never.
Do I regret it? No. I am tired of getting squeezed by dentists.

Japanese Work Culture Is Sick
Japanese Work Culture Is SickDon't travel to big cities. Travel to natural areas.
The point of travel is to see the beauty of the Earth, not the hives of the two-legged zombies who shamble upon it.

My New Years Resolution, Leave Actualized.org!
My New Years Resolution, Leave Actualized.org!@Ishanga I don’t know man. You have your own version of spirituality and your own unique world view. We all do here.
I’d say… is conflict natural? Seems so as it’s everywhere even in plants. Also it can be healthy. Regardless of « ego » humans have limited data sets which differ from one another and capacity for communication especially on a casual forum. So conflict is natural.
What would a healthy non-égoïc debate look like? Isn’t a debate inherently a conflict?
Alex Hormozi’s 100 million dollar series is pretty cheap and can teach you about how to get leads for you martial arts stuff.

Rob Reiner murdered by Son, Trump mocks
Rob Reiner murdered by Son, Trump mocksBut that means some are.
People are not a statistic. They are particular. Mental illness does lead to violence in plenry of cases.
Watch those police cam videos. Many of those violent people are mentally ill. You can clearly see they are mentally unhinged before they attack the police.
Of course mentally ill people become addicts, because the drugs is the only relief they have from their painful condition.
Something like 33% of homeless street people have schizophrenia and are often addicts.

Spiritual Practice Specifically for Young Men?
Spiritual Practice Specifically for Young Men?I recommend Kriya yoga.
Kriya yoga is designed for householders. That means you do a few hours of Kriya per day and the rest of the time you focus on material activities.
Kriya yoga does not require week-long retreats. That's one of its big advantages or meditation. So it is good for people who are too restless to do long retreats.
Kirya is also more effective than meditation.
