I’m confused as to why some people believe he is at stage Yellow.

He's not Yellow.

What I said was his openmindedness is an example of a stage Yellow quality.

So wanting teachers in school to teach your kids science is against stage yellow? Because I can't see how confusing kids with sexual orientations and genders until they hit puberty is a healthy  idea.

Of course I'm not. I didn't say I am.

Sexual grooming of young impressionable children is not okay. Rogan is right on this one. It’s fine on high school level where children are of a certain age, but below that children do not yet have the capabilities to fully grasp the significance of sexuality in the world. So if you talk about sex with young children it’s just grooming at that point. Do people here really want some old man talking to their young children about sex? Or is there a hidden agenda at play there to push sexuality on little children?

The people who want to confuse kids about sexuality are not at stage yellow either.

They're stage red masquerading as stage green and above.

The mentality on this forum can also be kinda funny. If someone does not agree with your world view —> they must be at a lower stage of development ? Yeah, that’s a logical fallacy

What do you guys actually think of the Florida legislation? Do you hold the view that children are too young to be taught about such topics?

It doesn't go far enough. I don't think kids should be taught about such topics until they begin puberty, around age 12 on average. (I realize some girls can get periods earlier, but 12 is the average.)

The more I learn about forcing LGBT stuff on children, the more I'm coming to the conclusion that it's literally child abuse. I think with enough time and parent outrage, society will eventually swing back against it and some of these school officials might end up in jail for what they've done.

I consider it sexual grooming of a minor. Definition: manipulate perceptions of children so they comply with sexual requests or demands

I realize the DSM5 no longer considers homosexuality or being trans as a mental disorder, but I disagree. Both meet the definition of a paraphilia. And that's fine, people with mental illness deserve to exist and live in our society without facing discrimination. But we aren't forced to humor the delusions of any other mentally ill group in our society. We don't let foot fetish people in our schools to proselytize about how it's natural to have a foot fetish, fly foot fetish flags out front. We don't tell kids that 18% of people have engaged in coprophilia (using human shit for sexual pleasure.) I don't want schools glorifying mental illness or pushing kids toward any of these as an equally valid and normal option.

In most cases of 8 year olds having an issue with being misgendered or thinking they're gay, you can put 2 and 2 together and see that it's probably because dad is no longer in the picture to act as a voice of reason. It's almost always single moms or existing LGBT people with their own trauma (or teachers) forcing their problems onto kids. Very rarely does an 8 year old come to the level of certainty about their sexuality that they want to change their name or pronouns all on their own.

You guys are really spreading low quality political garbage in this sub-forum.

This is a homophobic bill.

If you keep spreading stuff like this on here, expect bans.

In relation to this thread, do you think that media channels like Rogan, Peterson, and all of the other right-wing media out there will able to continue forever with being able to influence the USA stop becoming significant more liberal? If not, then what will one day stop the perpetual cancerous growth of the right-wing media influence?

Just because the pendulum has always swing back and forth, doesn't necessarily that it will continue to do so. I hope that I am wrong, but I am skeptical of the notion that things will eventually be healed and turn around for the better politically, because of how increasingly strong and toxic both the right-wing media and far-left echo chambers keep getting along the fact that there seems to be no plan on the horizon at all as to how we will be able to stop the politically polarization crisis 1 world countries, especially the USA, have already been for several years now and seems to keep getting worse and worse and worse and worse.

That's the thing, it's not sustainable. Eventually the problems will get so bad they will explode and media companies will be forced to change via regulation, or financial ruin.

I was thinking before that that might be this case given what I said in that thread I made a while ago about how the Great Quieting era during the first two decades of the 20th century was able to successfully cool down the whole political environment of all of America after the whole country went through a period of such terrible political polarization during the late 1900s, that historians say was arguably the most highly polarized period that ever happened since the American Civil war.

However, we have been living in such an unchecked capitalistic society that increasingly distrusts our core institutions especially our government for over 40 years that I don't see how media companies and even most ordinary American citizens will ever give enough of a mandate for allowing the government to intervene in this situation. Also, I don't see how the media companies themselves will ever learn their lesson when this problem gets bad enough for all of their businesses.

I hope that I am wrong and I very well could be.

I agree for the most part, at puberty and above can they teach sexual education along with gender roles and fields related and relevant a bit later. Below that is questionable for a teacher to teach that to elementary and primary schools, as they are still strangers but because they are at a teacher role and those are students, it's clear to see the discrepancy in power and authority. A teacher is like a second extension of a family unit in that way, so it's likely that students, most, will just listen and take in information without thinking critically about what they just internalized.

Of course, policies and politics and the collective consciousness of the masses are very interconnected. Scandinavian countries for example, despite their violent history, might be willing as a people to teach about genders and other sexes today, as they are for the most part stage green countries with some stage yellow values and systems. When you see transformational dilemmas, that is just part of that group's development.

Another tricky issue with sex education, is how do we know when to teach more or less as a society, in the education system? Taken to it's ultimate, extreme implication, is that we are essentially trying to cram a  diverse and charged topic into curriculums, but that topic is both pornographic and intimate in nature. How do we determine the standards of how to pass on sexual knowledge and integrate that into a normal curriculum? How do we teach both the theory and application of that safely? Do we make it mandatory? If this is not treaded carefully, it can backfire very quickly, as this takes a delicate hand to be able to manage this issue. The how to do this is a tricky problem to solve. We want the younger generations to have healthier sexuality and teach sex in a safe way, but we don't want to teach too much or too quickly and early that it causes traumas and identity crisis sexually speaking.

What if all sex education got banned by the right wing?
