A brilliant film, BTW.

@Leo Gura Since it's likely you won't make videos about the earlier stages, can you make a detailed thread about Beige, Purple, Red?

I get most of SD but I don't understand the transitions between the earlier stages as much. They seem a bit more ambiguous to me than Orange to Green for example.

There will be videos on Purple and Red.

This is the foreplay ;)

Jimmy McGill (mostly orange) trying to persuade Tuco (Red) to spare 2 guys who crossed him by appealing to red values, such as respect ("Ten years from now, they're still gonna be crapping their jockeys"), eye for an eye ("Make the punishment fit the crime"), justice.

Tuco is fast & impulsive, strives for self-preservation and respect, loyal to those who are considered friends, asserts domination and makes displays of power. Greatly fits the values that Red contains. --> http://spiraldynamicsintegral.nl/en/red/

I guess I could be pretty pissed off about what happened to me.

But it's hard to stay mad when there's so much beauty in the world.

I genuinely cannot think of a healthy red example. Red at its core seems so primitive, exploitative to me. I'm sure it's my shadow to some extent and I don't know how to heal it. Red feels so ugly, gosh haha

Part of the challenge here is seeing the relativity of "healthy". You are in some sense applying a stage Green idea of "health" to stage Red. But stage Red survival happens in a very different environment than modern developed society. So even a warlord or a mobster is not necessarily unhealthy once you consider the environment they have been forced to survive in. It mostly becomes unhealthy when you put that warlord into a modern developed society.

Notice, you don't blame a crocodile for being unhealthy when he snaps at an antelope.

Yes, it's primitive and exploitative (by today's standards).

OMG IT'S TIME! IT'S FINALLY HERE! WHY AM I SO EXCITED FOR THIS???

36:53

- "Ok so you just think anyone should be able to torture their dog to death?"
- "Pretty much yeah, because it's a possession and you don't extend the same rights to the animal that you would to humans, yeah."

Notice how the chat just freaks out when he says that hahaha

Destiny's paradigm in this debate is logically self-consistent but overtly egoistic. It's kinda hilarious how during the course of the debate it just progressively leads to deeper and deeper pits of Red and how he has no qualms about conceding on truly horrendous hypotheticals in order to remain consistent :D. This debate was arguably the origin of the meme that Destiny is a sociopath. What is also interesting is that Vegan Gains is a self-admitted sociopath even though he advocates for veganism.

Phil Anselmo's raw aggressive energy is the best example of Red I've seen in a performing music artist :)

This song called "So You Die" is extreme Red in a nutshell :D
