Execution in advanced countries should be extremely rare and should be done in the most humane and medically controlled way. Even then, I am conflicted about whether they should happen at all. All other practices including injections etc are dark and should be banned.

I'm against capital punishment overall but if they're gonna do it, they should do it right.

There are positives.

But the firing squad adds an element of terror to the procedure, and also the live-streaming of it is about creating a spectacle of brutality.
