Manifestation is Bullshit

20 posts in this topic

After long and deep thought on this topic, I have come to the conclusion that "manifesting" is utter, egoic, bullshit. My argument is multi faceted:

On the one hand, you have people who have literally nothing, they barely make $1/day and live in horrible conditions. They were born into this. Are you seriously going to gaslight them into thinking "You're just stuck there because you aren't vibrating high enough" (ironically most of these people are actually emotionally vibrating higher than someone in a city with money, I live in Indonesia and i have seen people living on the street with nothing with some of the lightest, happiest, grateful energy i have ever seen)

Are you going to tell these people that they have some subconscious desire to be living like that otherwise it wouldn't be their reality? What a psychological mind rape...

Further, when i listen to people explain manifestation it's clearly just an elaborate belief system which loops back onto itself. You can't reject it because the way it is set up is unfalsifiable. Then the people who teach it , obviously preach that it is real because they were the lucky few who things actually worked out for. Enough people try to blow up on social media through manifesting, then it happens for one, and they attribute it to manifestation skills. It's like Bruno Mars saying "just follow your dreams" , or "find your talent", it's easy to give that advice when you are 1 in a billion talent wise which is non replicable for 99.99999% of people.

Many of the theories in manifestation advice do work but it's not because of some universal vibrational energy you are calling in. It all comes down to the mind and self concept, so i will give them that. In attraction for example if you already have an adubndance of lovers and success with women you literally hold and carry yourself in a way that other women subconsciously pick up on as "this guy is high value because he has success with other women". So if you "act as if it's already true" then yes you will show up in a way that is more succesful than being a nervous mess. But it's not because you are manifesting things into reality through magic it's a very real and measurable way of acting in reality. I think a lot of this magic stuff is just people's way of trying to explain the subconscious dynamics that we don't consciously register. I think there is a quote that says something like "The master might look like they are producing magic, but they know that there is nothing magic about what they are doing at all"

Much more powerful than manifestation is understanding how things work and then mastering the process behind success. Fuck magic take responsibility for your experience and results.

This video is proof of my arguement, can you see that she is just blindly preaching a belief system (she is one of the lucky few that things fell in place for, don't underestimate luck in life as well) :

@BlessedLion 💯

Thank you!

Plus, if manifestation is real, then those who claim it are evil.

If they can manifest anything, they should be able to manifest the manifestation power for those who lack it. Then everyone can manifest what they want and we can all be happy.

But since they don't or can't share that magic, then they're evil or liars or just flat out delusional.

This is what I term manifestation 😅

Literally visualising and outcome, putting it in my thoughts. Constantly. Learning and understanding how it works, applying and taking action in reality. Mastery. Manifestation.

If you compress it down "I visualise with my mind = my thoughts become reality"

mANIfeStATiOn is just a word to compress all the shit that occurs between thought  - result that no one wants to inspect, let alone to deconstruct. The process of mastery. No one wants to talk about the repeating, habitual, daily execution that is required to get from A to B.

Better to slap "magic" on it

I completely disagree with this.  But that's fine.  I celebrate the fact that this position can be heard.

@BlessedLion 2 points.

1) You admit that self-concept is very important and does bring results. This is something you can manifest. For the success with women example, you can listen to subliminals for attracting women (if you don't know, these are audios with affirmations put in at a very low volume to target your subconscious). Alternatively, you can affirm "I have great success with women" or "Every woman is attracted to me." This will make you believe it if you do it consistently with an open mind.
The point is that you're making your mind believe something without evidence and then it tries to make the thing come true. This is way more effective than cold-approaching hundreds of girls to try to build up "hard-earned" confidence. Nope, just tell yourself you're already great with women!

2) The person in the video claims that they manifested things which could easily be acquired through action. That makes it easy to be skeptical. A manifestation believer will believe her, but a skeptic won't.

The way to bypass this is by manifesting something physical -- something that would require an absurdly lucky coincidence or breaking physical laws to happen. If it works, then you've proved manifestation definitively. The problem is that you're being too lazy to try this out seriously and would rather insist manifestation is nonsense, probably because your ego would be upset if it realized effort is actually pointless.

What is this? That's the only question.

Without the energy of desire nothing could ever arise or happen in existence. Desire is what propels all activity. All of creation itself is a manifestation of God's Desire. And that same power that birthed the entire universe runs through everyone even still. But not everyone is a clear channel yet for that energy to manifest through them to create how God creates.

To truly love something is to grant that thing freedom. It is to hold it in an open palm of your hand without clenching over it.

I think people who believe in manifestation are actually more likely to succeed in things because they have an optimistic disposition and they are taking opportunities as they see them. It's basically impossible to believe in manifestation and not do anything in order to manifest what you would like to happen. Because even if you want to manifest something ridiculous like money magically appearing inside your bank account, you would have to open your bank account to know that (and you will probably be proactive in that). Optimistic disposition, looking for opportunities, being proactive about achieving an outcome, that's a mode of being that trickles down into everything you do (and you will do a lot in the course of a lifetime).

Money isn't hapiness; those are not the same object even if they can be correlated according to your karma.

I think of manifestation as an thought that is brought into reality. I manifest everyday. Everyday my thoughts and imagination becomes into reality through my work. My art is my manifestation. Those ideas and thought take a physical form. That is how I see it.

But I don't think me sitting and visualizing will ever bring it to reality. I cannot just sit and think about it. I must also act.

The problem of this topic is that everyone is talking about something else.

Some "rationalistic" view of "manifestation" : compression of thought

others with some "pray & hope" and you'll get it.

You can crap in one hand and manifest in the other, and see which one gets filled faster.
