Is Leo Gura awake or not?

46 posts in this topic

@Eskilon atleast he is not starting a sex cult like Bentinho, so I don't care if he is awake or not, all these guru's are also to be questioned honestly, because a big part of what they do is just a big act of playing the guru and therefor anything that would make them seem less then guru, they can't do publicly or in other words they have to supress and then they might start doing some weird stuff like Bentinho.

He is awake by every definition of the word. I have no doubts.

But degree matters too, and there are others who are probably more awake in some areas.

However, when you confront him directly and point out that he is claiming to be God, he will deny that this is actually his claim. He will tell you that he is not saying he is God. Instead, he says that you are God that you are the solipsistic mind and that everything exists within your consciousness.

This creates a very strange consequence in his own reasoning. If you are the only conscious being in the universe, as he claims, then he himself is not conscious. In fact, he has explicitly said that he is not conscious and that you are the only conscious entity that exists. That is apparently what he means by solipsism.

This becomes a very tricky thing to try to explain with this line of thought, I agree.  Because if solipsism were true, what is the support for the analogy that this line of reasoning applies to the other.

There's no good way to measure someone's level of enlightenment as far as I know. You are the only one who can judge the level of development of others for yourself. The outside opinions are more of a distraction than anything else.

Yes, Leo is awake because Leo is inseparable from the one who is not awake.

Everyone, every one is awake because every one is inseparable from the one who is not awake.

One cannot know one because one is the one. There’s no other one than this knowing one that cannot be known because one is equal to seamless infinity where boundaries or edges do not exist in this infinite causeless chain of causes being causes…that cannot know cause only be cause.

It's just a bunch of hocus-pocus.

One is not an even a number, one is simply the recognition of a continuity of being that has no known beginning nor ending. So numbers would all be imaginary. Infinity is numberless.

From a foundational philosophical and metaphysical standpoint, continuous oneness is impossible to be separated, because any apparent separation is an illusion, not a structural break. If something is truly continuous and absolute, there is no "outside" or alternative space for a piece of it to be separated into.

So yes, every thing is inseparable from the infinity of not things.

Now stop trying to be what you already are. And just be what you already are not.

The correct answer to this question (and all other questions) is yes, no, maybe, all of the above and none of the above.

and then has peak states of non-duality etc during trips.

Why of non duality? If the realization is that you are god creating the reality, seems that are two, you as a god in one side, the dream in other. The intention of creating and hiding that fact in the middle

Maybe we could term awakening as "realising ultimate truth"

Depends on what awake actually is. Obviously he’s not awake in super high states that you reach when we talk about awakenings. Because you can’t function properly in those states. But if we talk about being awake as in walking round with a super understanding of reality then maybe we can say yes. He’s likely in a pretty elevated state in terms of being able to recognise reality as it truly is in the present moment, due to his understandings. What really is it when we call a human awake? Because only a certain level of awakening can be at play for the human to be able to be human, act in an ordinary human manner, control themselves, as Leo does. Only by experiencing awakening to a particular high degree can anyone even begin to ponder the question at any sort of depth. Anyone who hasn’t, literally can not even begin to ask the question because they don’t know what awakening is. Through experience it’s clearly obvious to me that any human can only walk around and live life at a certain level of what would be awake. So there are limits to how awake someone can be and remain, let’s say ordinary. I would personally say yes, he is awake, because of his own understanding of reality and what is going on. He can bring personal experience into a moment, realisations, memories, processes etc. He may even see physicality a little differently, a little more hollow, transparent, yet at the same time it’s completely solid. May see the fluidity of conciousness and it’s unity rather than a seeming separateness and individuality of all things. He may be able to flick between in his mind, in the same way those spinning optical illusions where you can make a person change which way they are spinning just by your focus and mind. You’d have to ask him to describe his experience. But he’s certainly not wandering around life in peak states, and he’d openly admit that I’m sure. Infact I think he has. Once you determine what a human being awake actually is, only then you can wonder does someone meet that criteria. And even then, that’s just your own criteria, it’s not universal. So infact, never will you know if someone is awake or not. You will only know if they have a good understanding of conciousness, reality, and that’s also only if you do yourself

The ultimate truth is that you are. You are X would be secondary truth. Then, knowing the ultimate truth seems like not so special right?

Awakening is a lot different than most expect.

It's not becoming or behaving any certain way, like most think! But it can appear that way looking from the outside.

It's unconditional perfection & simultaneously complete chaos.....it's all inclusive!

Similarly to someone that never stops traveling physically, awakening is a free float mentality. Nobody is left grounded in beliefs or to being a certain way, but again, it could appear that way looking from the outside.

Day to day functioning is easier in a lot of ways, but anything can happen.

The self character cannot grasp this. It lives in "the story" of meaning, purpose and value. It views everything from a learned conditioned perspective. It cannot fathom non-perspective reality.

You simply cannot become awakened.

It's not a something thats attainable for a someone.

It's the end of that seeking energy thats trying to become enlightened.

When it's recognized clearly, it's permanent for nobody.

There isn't a Leo already, so the question stems from a misunderstanding.

I see.

One of the reasons I bring this topic up is because of Leo's questionable statements and behaviours people witnessed here on the forum and sometimes the language he uses and attitude. So it does bring some incoherence with what I would consider awakening behaviour and language xD.

Not that I know what is meant by "awakening" either, but yeah I'm curious to hear people's opinions.

Having peak states doesn't mean when your baseline returns it will be devoid of those tendencies. Also I don't percieve his ways being as egoic as some here seem to percieve....(in comparison to average person).
